We purchased alpaca gloves, vest and the most comfortable mask that I think will keep my face warm while making me feel “ pandemic safe”!

Fluff Alpaca is a family run shop with unique, beautifully handmade clothing and accessories. I had the good fortune of finding it on the web while looking for an alpaca throw as a more affordable alternative to a cashmere throw. An array of gorgeous colors plus the soft, luxurious feel we wanted along with reasonable prices made our decision an easy one. A huge plus in my experience was the OUTSTANDING customer service, the VERY BEST I have ever encountered in all of my shopping days! Prompt, friendly, responsive, caring, and helpful email exchanges, even sending extra photos, made my purchase such a pleasure and privilege. Having to rely much more on online shopping during the past several years, I am thrilled to have found this wonderful shop for both personal purchases as well as one of a kind gifts for family, friends, and colleagues. I was profiled while shopping at this store as a person of color. I’ve vacationed in great barrington multiple times over the past few years and am very familiar with the stores. I went to buy a few things that I saw through the window. I tried on a linen set and as I waked out of the dressing area, an older blonde sales associate came up to me and asked me if I tried them on, when I said yes she grabbed them out of my hands without saying a word and left. I followed her, feeling very uncomfortable since she didn’t say where she was going and saw her placing them back on the rack. I went up to her and told her I was buying the set and she looked surprised and I then took them from her to buy at the register. All of a sudden she became more welcoming once she realized I was buying but had assumed that I wasn’t going to get anything. I do not believe this would have happened to someone else without brown skin. I was very disappointed and uncomfortable and it made the rest of my party in the store uncomfortable as well (one of them being a resident). I bought the outfit because I really wanted it but will not be returning or recommending this place to any of my friends that visit or live there.

I visited Fluff Alpaca yesterday to do some Christmas Shopping for some very "particular" family members. The store had a great selection of gloves, mittens, glittens and wrist warmers as well as socks, clothing, childrens' items and household accessories. It's a beautiful shop and the customer service was fabulous! I love that the children's' accessories are available for an age range (2-4 years in my case). Since quality alpaca outerwear is a little pricey, it's nice to know that a child can get 2-3 years of wear from an adorable hat and gloves. The shop had a nice selection of clothing and gifts and their return policy is very reasonable. I drove down to Great Barrington from Nassau, NY through Pittsfield, MA, which took about an hour. I drove back home through Egremont/Austerlitz and was back home in 40 minutes. I didn't realize I was so close! I will definitely be returning to Fluff Alpaca. It's a wonderful shop with unique, high quality items.

This is the time to select your fall and winter caps, gloves scarves socks and more. Sweaters for babies, toddlers, guys and ladies are breathtaking. Soft pastels to glorious brights are awaiting your selection. Staff is extremely courteous and knowledgeable. You must make this your destination. You will be enamored at first glance and your spirits will be lifted.

My new favorite store in Hudson, NY! Great selection of beautiful quality alpaca clothing and accessories. Helpful sales staff and reasonable prices, given the quality and selection. Went for a jacket and came home with two stunning pieces...and easily could have come home with more! I will be back!

I bought the alpaca lined work gloves. Tried them on inside and the we're nice and warm. So I decided to give them a test. I went outside and worked for about 2 hours in Temps about 38°. My fingers and hands were just as cold as my $20.00 economical gloves. They DID NOT perform anywhere close to the advertise description. So,I tried to return them, I was told that since I wore them outside they were not new and they would not take them back. That's no warranty or guarantee at all. Be very careful when buying from the company, they DO NOT stand behind their products. I will not be buying from them again and I would not recommend them to anybody!1

My spouse and I got three alpaca sweaters between us (two for him and one for me), which were reasonably priced for alpaca. I was tempted to buy a pair of lined mittens too, but restrained myself. The staff were super helpful, and pointed out the sale table in the back where there were some bargains (none of which fit me, unfortunately). I'll definitely be back next time we're in the Berkshires, as alpaca is so warm and the moths don't eat it, unlike wool.....

A lovely shop filled with luxuriously soft alpaca items - hand knit sweaters, shawls, scarves - exceptional baby and children's clothing, plus-coats, slippers and cuddly stuffed animals and toys. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable- all locally sourced - a real gem in the middle of Hudson!
