Very tasty food and generous portions for those on a tight budget. Very good value. One of the few Le Flunch restaurants left, as it is hard to make a profit on such tight margins. This Le Flunch is still open, right beside the Pompidou Centre. Setting is not great - it is situated downstairs in a basement area. It could double up as a b*mb shelter. Quite busy. Popular with school groups. Wide choice of options. All reasonably priced. The Grill Chef is a little grumpy. He does not understand other Europeans looking for their meat to be 'well done'. It is not something true Parisians ask for. Otherwise the staff are fine, typical Parisians. A lot of self-service options, you can pick and choose what you would like so everyone is happy. Fine dining this isn't. But it does suit hungry people and families on a budget. Can't complain. I actually believe that Le Flunch provides an important social service. Please support it. Recommended.

We were supposed to come here to eat dinner for 3 days. Today, the first day, we come here, have to wait 1:30h and see other classes getting kicked out and pushed around. Somehow we get in, the trays are wet, forks and knives dirty, food is either cold, tasteless, or both. Staff was very rude, food was barely edible and wait time was absurd. Id reccomend going to the Subway right outside or the McDonald's closeby. Hopefully well be able to get a refund and not come here again.

If you are a teacher taking a school year to France and are thinking of taking them to this place, don’t. I have friends who eat meat who said that basically nothing was cooked and had to go hungry throughout the whole day not eating anything because of the raw meat they were given. As a vegetarian, there was nothing that I would even consider eating there and ended up having a plain baguette with a whole plate of salad which obviously wasn’t filling at all. Even though the main teacher taking us spoke fluent French, the staff didn’t exactly know what was going on especially with the little tickets we were given as none of them were valid until they said they were which took about half an hour. Not sure what was going on there but if the food was actually half decent I could get over that. I wasn’t expecting the food to be good and I get that it is going to be different to England but nothing could’ve prepared me for what everyone ordered. They got most of the orders wrong so if you are taking a class of people who aren’t fluent in French this really isn’t the place to go. You really do need to be abled to communicate.

I was brought here by a French friend, so i can try something a bit different from what i was having during my stay in Paris. The place is big enough, you have a big selection of food, the price is good and the quality of the food is ok. For me this was just to experience the place, not my cup of tea, but i can say i enjoy eating here.

If I could give it a zero I would. The food was awful, I had chewy haddock , eclairs with rubber like chocolate and stale bread (see pictures below). I was on an exchange from England and there was a homeless person who was stealing food, then he was looking at the private parts of girls and boys, apart from they were 12 and 14 year olds. The toilets had hygiene AND A WINDOW LOOKING AT THE URINALS. Overall an awful experience with a pdf file, nightmare service and terrible food.

Google
This place was so horrible, i would give it 0 stars if i could. But thats not possible so i gave it one star each. How can i even start describing this place. I dont even write reviews and the fact i felt the urge to write one all of the sudden sais enough. First of all i went here with school so i didnt expect it to be like a 5 star restaurant, but i also didn't expect it to be THIS HORRIBLE. This place is NOT suitable for a large amount of people. Not only was all the food thats supposed to be served warm COLD AS HELL but they made us all wait infront of the door for hours when we literally booked the place in advance, they only let us in when my bestfriend almost fainted because she hadn't ate anything for hours and was on her period. And even then they only let a few persons in like it was some fucking VIP restaurant. Anyway ngl the place literally looks like a homeless shelter too, like a food bank you know? Somewhere where they feed the poor, and im sorry for mentioning this twice but i need to put the emphasis on how COLD all the food was served, the ambiance felt like prison to me. Flunch. Never. Again. I do, however, recommend the sushi place next to it, haven't tried it yet but at this point everything looks and is probably better then flunch.

Yelp
Flunch is wonderfully horrible. Perfect for Americans on a budget. The food is basic but cheap. Order your meat option, pay, and head to the all you can eat veggie buffet. The baked chicken is always safe and tasty. Avoid the beverages and get water for free. Desserts are reasonable but you can get better options around the corner on Rue Rambuteau. Some of the diners are depressing but it's a reminder that not everyone in Paris is wealthy, fashionable, and cultured. There are many old people on a budget, blue collar workers, and immigrants who struggle to survive. It's appropriate that Flunch is underground and below the fabulous city of Paris. FYI, I'm an American who has visited Paris 15+ times. I eat in some good restaurants but always visit Flunch because it's fast and easy.

Yelp
Quiet, unassuming little place for a quick bite. Conveniently located adjacent to the Centre George's Pompidou, in Paris. If you're looking for a gourmet meal, this is not your place, however, if you don't want to spend the afternoon dining, but would rather spend your time in the museum...this place hits the spot.

Yelp
This review is for Americans. On my last day in Paris, and because I had passed it all month and wondered, I lunched at Flunch. It is the equivalent of a Sizzler steak place or Fresh Choice. The quality isn't great but it isn't bad either. Flunch has several counters which contain all salad items, or all breakfast items, or all desserts, or all drinks, the hot meats section, etc. The only counter that is tended is the hot meats section where you can belly up, point and have a steaming slab of beef, pork, chicken or fish plonked on your plate. You get your salad, drink and whatever else and pay. There are hot vegetables at a steam table, with booth-style seating lining the floor. And an espresso machine you can work with the aid of a purchased token coin. I had a portion of roast lamb with whipped potatoes, corn, green beans and assorted other stuff like a yogurt, chopped fruit salad and a green salad. It was all pretty much middle of the road. Cheap, filling, but not a spiritual experience by a long shot. Lots of German tourists there for some reason, livened up the place with singing. On the whole, had it not been my last day I'd never have eaten there. I mean, you're in freakin' *Paris*, dude. Eat where the locals do. They don't eat at Flunch. Save for that severely rainy day when you can't make it to the Cafe du Mont Lozere, or even more arty: the cafe in Centre Georges Pompidou.

Yelp
Many options, cheap, and if you get an entree there is an all you can eat buffet of veggies, fries, and the like. The food is a bit gross but still relatively nice to an American.

Yelp
I went to flunch when I went Paris with my school just before Christmas well if I could I would award flunch -1000000/10 stars it was horrible, after having been sat next to tramps poor quality meal and multiple hairs found in all of our dishes and the look of the food and the service it should be closed forever. we ate 0% of our food the great thing about it that it was near a mc Donalds next door lol but I was so shocked at this place. you probably saying well was the food nice or bad I can't tell you I ate 0% of my food the look put me off before it was even on my plate. If you don't get the picture now then don't clean or flush your toilet for a Month then look in it there you will find flunch I award flunch 1 star because of the mc Donalds next door

Yelp
Flunch. Where hopes and dreams come to die. They have boxed potatoes. Bland pasta. Terrible fries. They leave string on the meat. The only thing half decent is the bread. And even thats only barely. Prison food is like a 5 star meal compared to this
