Food It's okaaaaay. It's not bad, but it's nothing worth raving about either. With so many hot chicken choices around the city, you could easily find better tasting one.
That said, they have decent hot chicken. The skin is crispy, I got the Hot level and it was mildly hot to me. It doesn't taste like a typical Nashville hot chicken, more like a peppery spicy chicken. I got the cheesy chicken fries, which is a bed of crinkle cut fries with nacho cheese reminiscent of movie theater nacho cheese, pieces of chicken and a sprinkle of spring onions (didn't go well with the taste imo). The fries themselves were plain, but they have salt and pepper where you pick up your food.
For each meal, you're allowed to choose 2 sauces. I tried the house sauce and the honey mustard. I liked the honey mustard.
Satisfying portion. When you order, you're asked for your phone number so you can receive a text when it's ready. Because this is a stall inside the market, you can just pick up your food when it's ready and have it wherever you want.
I recommend sitting outside and enjoying the sun if it's a nice sunny San Diego day.
