I've been at Fly three times already (we just moved to Tampa in Aug from NY), and we already decided that this is our favorite local restaurant. I did not take pictures of all the things we ate in our visits, but I assure you that everything is outstanding. The drinks are seriously and beautifully crafted. My husband tried several of them; I got stuck with Freddie's dead, because it is delicious and so well done. The things we eat from the menu are: egg rolls (amazing), tuna tonkatsu bao buns (great), beef slides (delicious), tacos al pastor (the right spice and flavor), shrimp dumplings (wow, outstanding), mac and cheese (great), shrimp and crab dip (it was a special, and we wished they would keep it permanently, because it was just exquisitely good), chorizo-spiced salmon (absolutely excellent) and ALWAYS the duck confit because it is amazing, tasty, with the wild rice and we always, always order it. In our first visit, chef Mahlon Randolph came to our table and talked to us, and I could see that he really cared about his restaurant and its customers. That says a lot. ALL the hosts we had on these three visits were perfect. This is a great bar and restaurant, and I can't recommend it enough. PLEASE GO TO FLY!
