"A picturesque hamlet known for its stunning fjord views, Geiranger is a popular stop for cruise ships. It offers breathtaking natural beauty with its deep-blue fjord and surrounding snow-capped mountains. While it can be busy, early morning excursions provide a more serene experience." - Helen Iatrou Helen Iatrou Helen Iatrou is a travel journalist and guidebook author from Australia who has lived in Greece for almost three decades. This was such a beautiful spot in Norway. It's a small town. There's definitely lots to see. We did the bus tour, so we got to more the area. We stopped on top of the hill, and was able to take lots of good pictures. There's a few cool shops, small dining spots, and more. If I ever get to come back here, I would love to explore more :)

Great Viewpoint, only a few minutes up the mountain road from Geiranger, well worth a stop and pictures, on a clear day the view is spectacular. There are washroom facilities here.

Great spot to rest after a long and exhausting hike trough the mountainous area around Geiranger. The plate on the back of this chair tells you it was made especially for queen Sonja. In my town, we also have a queen Sonja. She is a frymaker, the best in town.

This serves as the inaugural viewpoint for Geiranger, offering a captivating first look at the city and its bustling port. While there's a WC available, camping isn't permitted here. Nevertheless, it's a highly recommended spot to kickstart your Geiranger exploration journey.

Good views down Geirangerfjord especially if cruise ship in port allows a great view against backdrop of the fjord and mountains. Takes about 45-60mins walk which is mostly by walking along winding road up the mountain.

Geiringer was definitely the highlight of Norway road trip and a must-see attraction. I decided to drive through, but boat rides will provide similar views.

Yelp
This place is so like amazing! The view is breath taking, and picture doesn't do justice, but believe me go and see! . So the pro is that the if you want to hike up, you can. . Gerainger is the port, there is a tourist booth wher you can book tours for way cheaper than the boat such as norweigan if your wondering. . There is a hop on and hop off bus through out this port. Hop on and hop off is for you to get on the bus, it will take you around the views and famous stops. . The best thing for last is the emobile car, which is a little car which runs on electric. The little car reminds me of a smart car and golf car. . So this little emobile car requires a driver license and that's it. . So if your crushing and happened to stop at this port there is this third party emobile car which is 100 for the first hr to rent the car and go on your own with an audio tour too including a GPS inside the car. So I say must do it and skip the shore excursion for gerainger. Thanks for reading and have a yelptastic day!
