Viking Saturn Cruise Ship Review

"A picturesque hamlet known for its stunning fjord views, Geiranger is a popular stop for cruise ships. It offers breathtaking natural beauty with its deep-blue fjord and surrounding snow-capped mountains. The original settlement before tourists arrived would have been simply gorgeous. If would have been a fishing village. Now, cruise ships arrive and bus loads of tourists arrive daily. There is not much to do in the village itself except maybe go fishing or visit the local supermarket. Lots of nice hiking trails to scenic waterfalls from the center of the village and one can even visit some of the places mentioned in the movie TROLL by taking a 3 hour bus ride.

We had an incredible day hiking and exploring Flydalsjuvet in Geiranger, Norway! The viewpoint is absolutely breathtaking, with panoramic views of the Geirangerfjord, snow-capped mountains, and lush greenery that feel straight out of a postcard. The trails were well-marked and offered a perfect mix of challenge and accessibility, letting us soak in the stunning fjord scenery at every turn. We loved the iconic Fjordsetet (Queen’s Chair) for those unforgettable photo ops! The area’s peaceful vibe and dramatic cliffs made it a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend Flydalsjuvet for anyone looking to immerse themselves in Norway’s natural beauty!

This was such a beautiful spot in Norway. It's a small town. There's definitely lots to see. We did the bus tour, so we got to more the area. We stopped on top of the hill, and was able to take lots of good pictures. There's a few cool shops, small dining spots, and more. If I ever get to come back here, I would love to explore more :)

Yelp
This place is so like amazing! The view is breath taking, and picture doesn't do justice, but believe me go and see! . So the pro is that the if you want to hike up, you can. . Gerainger is the port, there is a tourist booth wher you can book tours for way cheaper than the boat such as norweigan if your wondering. . There is a hop on and hop off bus through out this port. Hop on and hop off is for you to get on the bus, it will take you around the views and famous stops. . The best thing for last is the emobile car, which is a little car which runs on electric. The little car reminds me of a smart car and golf car. . So this little emobile car requires a driver license and that's it. . So if your crushing and happened to stop at this port there is this third party emobile car which is 100 for the first hr to rent the car and go on your own with an audio tour too including a GPS inside the car. So I say must do it and skip the shore excursion for gerainger. Thanks for reading and have a yelptastic day!
