It's ok. It has a kitchen which guests aren't meant to use until 10am but they allowed us to make our own breakfast.
The photos are misleading - there's no terrace that you're allowed to access. This is because, as a member of staff told me, someone once climbed up and stole their chairs.
Apparently this is also why they keep their emergency exits locked with a key - it's impossible to leave the building without a staff member to let you out, either with a button behind reception (which wouldn't work without electricity) or by going to get keys, and all the windows have bars on them. Not much good in a fire.
Annoying that you're not allowed to wash your own clothes here. The bathrooms all have signs telling you not to, and when I finally found a sink that looked like it was for laundry I was told "if it was for laundry, it would say laundry". I guess it's because they want you to pay them to use their service.
But it's a nice space, comfortable, clean and good for meeting other travellers, they allow families to stay and it's right on the waterfront. If only there was a terrace we were allowed to use, the view would be great.
