Like many reviewers, I was initially sceptical as to whether motion seating and modern technology could really feel immersive. Also like many reviewers, I was absolutely blown away by just how immersive it was.
It genuinely feels like you're flying through the air, and the screen works as designed and gives you a fantastic viewing angle, tricking your brain even more to the point that I was moving my feet to avoid the tips of mountains!
I believe the flyover experience is 8 and a half minutes in total, and the entire experience fits into about 45 minutes (including the gift shop/WC after the show).
There is some pre-amble before the main event, including a high resolution depiction of an old log house and an older Nordic gentleman, and later a depiction of a troll explaining some of the folklore surrounding the island. None of this compares to the actual flyover though.
In terms of accessibility, it is worth noting that the actual exhibit is upstairs, requiring steps up and steps down to/from the show. I did not see a lift/elevator, it may be worth contacting them if this would be something required. Additionally, the log house and troll parts of the exhibit require standing on ground that is not perfectly level for an approximately 10-15 minutes total.
The tickets are quite pricey for an 8 minute show but I feel it was worth it for the motion seating experience. If you are visiting Reykjavik on a budget - this one could probably be skipped. I was able to find a discount code on TripAdvisor for 20% off tickets booked online, although Google will not let me post it here.
