Petra is everyone’s dream place to visit. There are some very good options to stay in Petra right outside the archeological site. Movenpick Nabatean Castle or the Grand Mercure Plaze is about 10 minutes’ drive, but it’s perched on top of a hill with excellent views of the vicinity. The Hotel is top-notch, very luxurious. The lobby is gorgeous, and the décor of the hotel is quite stunning. The restaurant is extremely good, tons of options to eat from in the buffet. You will certainly have everything you wished for at breakfast and dinner. We had two connected rooms which made things very convenient for us. The staff was great. This resplendant hotel greatly enhanced the wonderful memories of our trip to Petra

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as a solo traveler and one word sums up my stay “amazing” ||From the moment i checked in - everything was streamless. Front desk had my room ready on arrival, they had acknowledged i was a gold accor member and offered me a room upgrade and free drink. Room had a lovely view and fully equipped with everything i required; can’t fault it. ||The Service was impeccable throughout my stay; all staff (reception, restaurant/ bar, security) are extremely friendly, professional and really go out of their way to help. ||For example, one morning i had missed breakfast as i had left early to visit Petra, and on my return i was feeling hungry, so the Restaurant’s manager kindly offered me coffee and selection of pastries. ||On my last day i needed some painkillers and the lovely gentleman at reception gave me some. ||The hotel’s service is 5 star and i felt like royalty staying here. ||I would definitely return to this hotel and would also recommend it if anyone is staying in Petra.

The hotel is still closed. It looks lovely but we were turned away at the gate and sent back to Wadi Musa where our booking had been transferred to the Movenpick opposite Petra visitor centre. This was brilliant, but I had emailed a couple of months ago to double check and confirm my booking following reviews on Tripadvisor, and was advised that my booking was confirmed.

Set high above Petra this hotel has amazing views. Sadly it was quiet as Americans have bailed due to the problems in Israel. We were looked after from the moment we arrived till the moment we left. Our room was OK but we were only there to sleep. We had a fabulous meal in the Bedouin tent on the first night. Friends joined us on the second night and were impressed (their hotel in Petra wasn’t so great). All in all a great stay in an amazing place.

I cannot fault the staff, especially Hamed but the rooms were of very poor standard, they were basic with a tiny bathroom. We were meant to have superior rooms, not sure what the difference is from a standard room apart from having a view. Hamed upgraded me to a suite but still the bathroom was small and could not get the air conditioning to below 23 degrees.|The breakfast was nothing special. I don't feel this hotel warrants a five stars!

Lovely hotel situated at the top of Petra. It's rooms are lovely and views are to die for. Sunsets are just the best. There is a dog on site that barks a bit but I was so tired I didn't hear it too much. Food from the al carte menu was cold, and not every nice. Apart from this it was a lovely 1 night stay

The staff are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is a little dated but still very pleasant and a great location away from the hustle outside the visitors gate. Food and drink was good and the view of the mountains and Petra at sunset is one of the best memories of my Jordan.

Me and my wife stayed at the Mövenpick Nabatean Castle as part of our visit to Petra during our week-long Jordan vacation trip. The hotel is located at a fantastic location with great views of mountains with gorges and valleys. The shuttle from the hotel to the historic site was very useful. The room was very comfortable, helping relax after a long day of hikes/walks in the valley. Food and service was excellent too.
