Free museum with exhibits about earth's minerals and geology. It is inside a university so you may encounter lots of students.

Great little museum. Free entry. Good place to pass an hour or two. Wouldn't say it's very interesting for kids, but that's good as it means it's quiet.

Very very small museum. Good informative and interesting things to learn for kids. Easily 1 hr or less needed on tour. Loved all the different stones and elements information.

An amazing museum to visit to learn more about general geology and the formation of the alps. It was very informative with most signs in English and there are even some interactive exhibits. If you want to see everything you would need at least 2 hours. The building its in is also architecturally impressive. The best part is that the whole thing is free.

This is an amazing earth science museum with rock exhibit and a super cool earthquake simulator! If you come at the right time, you get to experience three very different levels of earthquakes, from real ones that actually happened to the man-made ones. I don’t even have to say that the kids loved this part! The people involved are all very nice and more than happy to share their knowledge. We really had a lovely day. There are also some amazing rocks on display, a play corner with different books to go through, dinosaur toys and a globe showing the movement of the continents. The whole place is amazing and even if you aren’t that much into rocks, I promise this place will be entertaining and instructive (in a fun way!). Of course, the entrance is free!

Really interesting free permanent exhibition in the university geology department. Includes meteorites, an animated globe showing plate tectonics (movement of continents), a Mars lander, and much more! Highly recommended. Oh, forgot to mention - there is also cheap coffee (1.60) and a snacks vending machine!

Interesting museum, especially considering it is free! The earthquake simulator was pretty cool, must try. Especially nice for people who are in to geology.
