Folia Hotel Apartments

I stayed at Folia Hotel in September 2025 and I have already booked my next visit for June 2026. Everything was wonderful. The location is great, the service was warm, and the breakfast was very good. The hotel is close to Agia Marina beach which made our stay even more convenient.||The place was quiet and relaxing. During our holiday we visited many of the famous beaches such as Falassarna, Balos, Elafonisi and Paleochora. It was the perfect base for exploring western Crete.||A big thank you to Giannis and Nikos for their hospitality. We truly enjoyed our stay and we are already looking forward to returning.

We loved staying at Folia Apartments. For us, the location was perfect, very quiet, 15 min walk (stroll!) from the main strip and beach. The sea view apartment we had was very spacious, spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed (and pillows), crisp white linen and soft white towels. All of the public areas are beautifully kept. We booked self catering but had the breakfast on the first day as we'd not had time to get any shopping. We signed up for the week. The selection and quality we found to be excellent, don't get me started on the home-made pastries and sweet things! Everyone we encountered was friendly, helpful and seemingly relaxed and happy which made for an enjoyable stay for us. The pool is quite small as you would expect for a hotel of its size but we never use the pool area anyway and always go to the beach which again was lovely. There are plenty of good restaurants on the main strip but for us the local tavernas in the old village won on atmosphere and quality. We are planning to return to Crete in September next year and will definitely stay at Folia again if they'll have us!

We have had another wonderful stay at The Folia Hotel. Lovely well equipped room and slept so well. Breakfast is a lovely experience with plenty of options to choose from. It is obvious everyone involved cares about this hotel very much and in turn makes for a relaxing holiday. Nothing is too much trouble. Thank you Giannis and Nikos and the team for a lovely holiday and we look forward to returning again.

Back again. It is so nice to come back and really feel welcomed by both brothers Giannis and Nikos, but also the rest of the staff, all with a smile. They will all make sure to make your stay the best possible. A perfect place for a couple. Rooms are kept in the Greek style and yet renovated and updated. In the morning there is the option of a lovely varied buffet and by the pool you can relax and have fantastic drinks. Always super service and clean everywhere. The hotel is a located a bit high, but with fantastic views of the coast, sea or the mountains. But still close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Recently returned home from a wonderful stay at Folia Hotel. My partner and I loved staying here, it truly felt like a home away from home thanks to the relaxing environment, amazing staff, great food and super comfy beds. For the first time in a while, we felt like we could completely switch off and enjoy being in holiday mode! The hotel is based a short walk from the beach, great links to buses and only a short drive away from Chania if you have a car or use taxis. Cretan hospitality is truly like no other - we will be back! 😊

Our first visit to Folia Hotel after a recommendation from a friend & disappointed we were not ! Beautiful, traditional, family run hotel. All the staff were superb and the whole hotel was spotlessly clean. Excellent choice of food at breakfast & always staff present to bring and clear away drinks around the pool area. A very personal service from everyone. Thank you Folia Hotel for a very memorable holiday. You were AMAZING !

Hotel Folia is a delightful place just a few hundred metres from the main road in Agia Marina. Nice rooms and facilities, delicious breakfast buffet and friendly service in this family-run business. Friendly and good restaurants nearby. Book directly on their website. It is appreciated and makes a difference.
