Folia Hotel Apartments

Just arrived home this morning after our trip to Crete. What can I say about this hotel, that hasn’t already been said before? It’s an absolute gem! ||Set up on the hillside away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets and bars, but with a very good proximity to the beach, it was a tranquil and peaceful place to relax by the pool and enjoy the Cretan sunshine. The pool bar has excellent cocktails, smoothies and stocks the local Cretan beer, Charma (which I loved) and the snack menu is great too. We ate lunch twice, and I can highly recommend the Gyros Plate! We only ate breakfast once, but the choice was good and the quality excellent, we just aren’t big breakfast people. ||The staff cannot do enough for you, and work so very hard to ensure the place is kept clean and totally spotless, glasses are cleared from around the pool almost immediately and there is no pressure to buy more drinks, which is something I have to say is a huge thumbs up. The greenery around the hotel just adds to what is already a lovely atmosphere. If you need any help or advice, the staff are so helpful and can provide you with advice for places to eat out, things to see and do and so much more. ||We picked a sea-view room and the vista was stunning! Our room was neatly presented with cutlery, crockery and a range of cooking tools and a fridge. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom spotless, with towels changed regularly and the room cleaned on a daily basis. ||So overall, I would recommend the Folia to everybody, we had such an enjoyable stay and if we return to Crete in the future, we wouldn’t consider booking anywhere else. ||Thanks so much to the Milonakis Family and the hard working team, you made our first trip to Crete, enjoyable and memorable.

Folia is truly one of the most wonderful hotels we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. The owners are gracious and welcoming, greeting guests with genuine warmth and hospitality. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and dedicated, creating an atmosphere that feels both relaxed and cared for.||The hotel itself is a hidden gem, offering quality in every detail. The rooms are immaculate and peaceful, with comfortable beds. The pool is clean and perfect for cooling off under the warm Cretan sun. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with lush plants, beautiful flowers, tasteful decor, and impeccable cleanliness throughout.||Each morning, we enjoyed a delightful homemade breakfast featuring Cretan specialties alongside a generous selection of other delicious options. The bar offers lunches until 3 p.m. and serves drinks until 8 p.m., perfect for a relaxing afternoon.||We stayed for a week with our two teenagers, and all four of us were truly charmed by the peaceful, friendly atmosphere. We all simply loved it. ||A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Hotel Folia—you provided the perfect setting for a wonderful and memorable Cretan holiday

We’re here now Folia is a true hidden gem, run by brothers Nikos and Ginannis and their amazing staff nothing is too much trouble from the moment you arrive. Breakfast is excellant such an array of options. Food is also served until 3pm which I highly recommend we have eaten here daily. Relaxing by the pool which also offers drinks served to your loungers highly recommend the Strawberry Daquari. Folia itself is amazing such a lovely building and surroundings and foliage all extremely well kept, tranquil and serene environment in a stunning location. Studio apartment we are in is spotlessly clean and maintained to a high standard and decor in keeping with the beautiful building. The view from our balcony is breathtaking with sea views idyllic nights sat here. First time visiting but we will definitely be back again. Thank you

I can’t recommend Hotel Folia enough. Everything about our stay was fantastic — from the cozy, clean rooms to the delicious breakfast and peaceful atmosphere. But what really made this place stand out was the incredible service. Every single person we met went out of their way to make us feel welcome, cared for, and truly at home.||We left with big smiles and already miss it. I stayed at Folia for 4 nights and had an amazing time! It was so relaxing and peaceful, the bed was super comfortable, and the staff were helpful and attentive. Everyone was so nice and went above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable. The pool was clean and refreshing and the breakfast buffet was fresh and delicious. The hotel is located a few blocks off of the main street so it was quiet and relaxed with lots of restaurants, shops, and beach still within walking distance. Great oasis for a relaxing stay!

Set back from the strip up the hill, so views and peaceful. Family run hotel and service excellent including arranging transfer from airport and greeting us on late arrival. Pool is nicely sized for relaxing and beds readily available. Well equipped rooms, very comfortable bed. Regular cleaning and whole hotel was spotless. They had thought of everything for a great stay

We had a wonderful stay at Folia Hotel. From the moment we arrived, Nikos, Giannis, and all the staff made us feel so welcome and genuinely cared for. The room was spotless and cosy, the pool was peaceful and perfect for relaxing, and the food and cocktails were absolutely delicious.||There’s such a calm, homely atmosphere here; you can really feel the heart and effort everyone puts into making your stay special.||From first-timers to definite returners, we’ll be back to our little nest at Folia.

After a miscommunication with our coach driver (his fault) we were dropped off half km away from the hotel so had to haul our luggage uphill to the hotel. Amazingly Giannis was still there waiting for us with his friendly welcome and help. Our first time here.|The hotel is extradinary in its detail. More authentic greek and the better for it. The two owner brothers lived up to their hype and didnt dissapoint. Very professional and always welcoming. The staff cannot be faulted. From room cleaning to service, it was all immpecicable. We were there for 14 days and we never got tired of the breakfast. Fresh everyday and varied enough to suit all tastes. The swimmingpool area is one huge chill. Theres usually a sunbed to find although it does get a bit warm there as its sheltered so not much breeze. The beach is a 10 minute walk away and its pretty good. The only downside I can think of is the walk back up the hill to the hotel. If you wanna beach the day, come back and then go out, you gotta do it twice. For most, its not a problem but something to consider for maybe others. But a small price to pay for the tranquility you will get. Overall a fantastic place. We were there for 2 weeks, and be both said we could of had another week. Strongly recommend.|
