We recently stayed at Folies Corfu and unfortunately our experience was very disappointing.||||The location itself is good, but parking is a real issue. There is very limited space, and despite traveling with babies, no priority was given to families. One day we were told not to park in a certain spot, yet the next day another guest was allowed to park there. At one point we were even asked to park in a field away from our apartment, which was extremely inconvenient as we had to carry our babies who were asleep to the room – unacceptable for a family-friendly accommodation.||||The rooms were old and in need of renovation. The bathroom was particularly problematic, with water that was either freezing cold or boiling hot, making it impossible to enjoy a proper shower. Cleanliness was also below standard – the bathroom had stone and grime that made it unpleasant to use. While the cleaning staff were polite, the standard of cleaning was not good.||||Another major issue was the lack of pest control. There were a lot of mosquitos on the property, and unfortunately our daughter was bitten and developed a reaction that required cortisone cream and antihistamine medication.||||When we arrived late at night, we were greeted by Alexandra, a very polite young lady, but clearly untrained. She was unable to answer our questions, and we later learned she was new. It felt like she was placed there just so the hotel could say they had a 24/7 reception, which was not efficient at all.||||This hotel has potential, but it is obvious the owners are not willing to invest in proper maintenance, training, or facilities. It feels like the priority is simply to fill rooms and make money, rather than provide a quality experience. A real pity, because with some investment and care, Folies Corfu could be a great place to stay.
