Amazing spot nestled next to the caravan park entrance, rare to get a cafe this good in a holiday park like this. Great coffee and food options, friendly staff and amazing outdoor areas to chill in. Good for kids and families as well as individuals. Definitely recommend this place.

A Must-Visit in Byron Bay! 🌿✨ Folk in Byron Bay is an absolute gem! I ordered the vegan burrito, scrambled eggs, and a vegan blueberry loaf - and every single dish was incredibly delicious. The flavours were fresh, well-balanced, and honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. The vegan options were especially impressive! What truly makes Folk special is the atmosphere. It has such a unique, calm, and cozy vibe - the kind of place where you instantly feel relaxed and inspired. With its beautiful outdoor setting and laid-back energy, it perfectly captures the spirit of Byron Bay. Amazing food + unforgettable atmosphere = 5/5 stars without a doubt. I can’t wait to go back! 🌸

If you like organic, whole food style cooking, you’ll love this cafe. You can really taste the local ingredients and that a lot of items are house made. For my taste palette, this was the best meal I’ve eaten at a cafe. Very well priced considering lot of the items are house made and organic. Definitely a ‘go to’ in Byron and ticks the Byron Bay experience.

This place is all over Instagram, so I went and honestly, the food is a 10/10. I had the avocado toast with an incredible bread that tasted homemade, soft and fluffy, like sourdough. All the food was full of flavor and made on-site. The coffee was excellent. They had boxed oat milk, and they make their own almond milk in-house, though I didn’t try it. The space is very open and designed for outdoor seating, but the day I went it was quite windy and cold, and I didn’t see any heaters maybe that’s something they could improve.

Decided to give folk Byron Bay a try on Sunday as it kept popping up on my socials and looked sensational. Online arrived to find there is no car park or parking. It’s right next door to the caravan park so parking is a nightmare at a hazard has the car park king that is available is a shared zone with the entry to the caravan park so it is a hazard on street parking on the main road is mostly zoned no standing so if you do park there you’ll get a fine. We spent $91 on what you see in the pictures. Order at counter pay at counter atmosphere. It was very average and spoke to staff about the 15% surcharge that we were to pay for and was told that it goes to the employees. No looking forward to the law changing when they’re not able to charge you 15% for nothing on top of what you’re already paying for overpriced and average food. These meals could’ve been made at home for cost of around $20 As after all we were only ordering simple eggs and avo smash one cappuccino and one Chai latte $91.00, sorry not sorry I am honest when I do a review on somewhere that I am paying good money to eat at We will not be back !

My partner and I have been coming here for about 4 years now. This is our absolute favourite cafe in all of byron! The food, drinks and overall quality is always very high. The staff are always so friendly and the location is so relaxing and calm. Our top favourites to order is the spiced cacao and ceremonial cacao, for food the nourish bowl, burrito or pancakes. Recently I finally tried some of the smoothies and YUM they are soooo delicious! We have a 1.5yo girl now and absolutely love taking her here with the little folk area, cubby house, toys and even pencils to colour in with. She has an absolute blast. It is such a pleasure coming here. Thank you for creating such a beautiful place. Much love Bianca Albert & Sofia

Google
My favourite cafe in Byron- I have come here since its opening, being in Byron 2/3 times/yr for a few weeks. Sadly it desperately needs a deep clean, paint and sanding and refreshing of tables. It looks dirty and grubby. Plants need pruning, tending and nurturing. Owner/ manager should not ignore this warning.

Yelp
Quite enjoyed this restaurant. Was a bit overpriced in my opinion but food was very aesthetic and was quite good. Recommend renting bikes if you are staying at the wake up hostel and coming here. It's about a 10 min ride. Not in the core of Byron. Outside seating area looked lovely as well. Would love to go back and try out something new.

Yelp
Folk is a charming, sun-filled cafe that is contemporary and with the times of catering nutritious, wholesome and locally produced vegetarian meals. With plenty of outdoor and indoor space to offer, away from a busy road but not too far away from points of interest, Folk is a beaut of a place to dine, chat and relax... Yelp
Folk was highly recommended by just about any good food reviews, inevitably we come with a certain expectation. The plating of every plate at Folk Cafe is certainly Instagram worthy, they look too beautiful to eat but the flavours are such a letdown! Our burrito with black beans, brown rice, quinoa and pumpkin was bland tasting, lacking flavour. The hot cakes with apple and almond bits just did not taste anything special. We love eating healthy food but we were again letdown by this hyped up overrated organic cafe, especially so we waited for 40 minutes for our food. Our own homemade healthy food bowl tasted heavenly and packed with a ton of flavour by comparison. However we love the light filled interior and beautiful layback outdoor seating with Tropical feel.

Yelp
Everything about this place makes me overwhelmingly happy. The location is a bit bizarre, located right across from a caravan park in the middle of a residential development. However, once you find it, you'll immediately want to enter it's cozy facade. There is a gorgeous porch with loads of seating, quirky decor and painted palm trees. We sat outside and enjoyed watching the world go by. We had the banana and tahini smoothie, the avocado smash and the coconut scramble abundance bowl. The food was outstanding, and the smoothie we shared was healthy, delicious and nutritious. It is listed as one of the top 20 places to eat in Australia according to the Good Food Guide. I couldn't agree more honestly! When my parents visit us down under, I'm happily going to driving them 1hr and 45 minutes to eat a meal here. I tell everyone I know that is going to visit Byron to eat here because it is sure to impress people from all culinary walks of life!

Yelp
Great little spot for lunch or coffee. Not overdone. Great WiFi and my lunch salad was delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Let me say this first - this is not the best cafe in the world. But this IS the best cafe in Byron Bay, full stop. I am tired of the stagnant cafe culture in my hometown. The owners are greedy and charge absurd prices (yeah, I understand the argument of expensive rent but still...) and employ wasted, underpaid students or backpackers who tend to be shockingly rude or are just plain assholes. Cue the entry of 'Folk'. To my surprise and delight, I used to be a regular at the owner's old job in Melbourne and I can vouch for the man and his dedication to his craft. This is shown in the simple menu and prices. Nothing is over $14 and it is GOOD FOOD. The waitress was lovely, water was provided instantly and it was a baby-friendly environment which was great because I was meeting my sister, her husband and their baby. I ordered the burrito and I would like to state that Bay Leaf, one of the "better" cafes in Byron, could definitely learn big time from this place. For starters, everything was INSIDE the wrap. The bean mix was subtly spicy and a delight to inhale, the scrambled eggs weren't completely bland nor greasy and over-buttered plus there was just the right amount of avocado to tie the whole thing together. (See picture.) My sister shared the crumpet with my mother and I had a bite. It was fabulous. (See picture.) The coffee wasn't quite as strong as I would have liked but I won't fault them for it, it sure did the trick. Seriously, if you want a cheap, good breakfast in a nice small venue, go here. Forget Byron and the overpriced wanky "Oh we're so cool because we are in Byron so you may as well pay 2x the price and it's cool to be ignored because you can sit there and make us look busy" bullshit. Please, for the love of god, understand this one basic simple fact: We are paying you for the service too. A fact that Folk certainly understands and rewards you with. I'm going back. And so will you once you've gone there.

Yelp
Great vegan food! Not many options, but the açai bowl and burrito is a must try! Beautiful coffee too, the Oatly mylk iced latte is delicious.

Yelp
It had a good vibe but I did not like the smoothies. There were only two options and they both weren't great (banana+turmeric and strawberry+rose water). I liked the location and the fact you could sit outside but the smoothies were bitter.

Yelp
Gr8 loc. Very local 'inhabitants'. Annoyingly busy during Bluesfest but imagine quite nice any other time.

Yelp
Great food but limited menu. Rather expensive for very small serves but maybe that's just the way organic produce goes

Yelp
Laid back atmosphere and outstanding food. Brilliant coffee and alternative milk selection. I enjoyed the nourish bowl. It's one of the best things I've had in Australia. Thank you!
