Update: Sadly we have still not received the refund after being overcharged for our stay in October. What a wonderful hotel and staff, but we do feel taken advantage of. Details below.
It is a beautiful hotel with lovely staff. Manager and staff Frederika and Roman are so great!! But we have had ongoing issues with overcharging by the owner since May. We had to cancel our June reservation (and we cancelled in plenty of time to qualify for a full refund) as one of us needed surgery, and then rebooked for October. The October rates per their website were considerably lower than June would have been. However, when they charged my second payment they charged me at the June rate. They have owed me 670 euros since May/June. Multiple emails did not result in a refund, although they acknowledged that I had overpaid by 670 euros. Even WHEN WE CHECKED OUT after staying there for 6 nights in October, the owner would not let the manager/staff give us our refund. I'm honestly confused why this is a difficult process. The hotel was wonderful otherwise, but this lack of a refund for overpayment does seem unusual and dishonest to me.
