Lovely quaint and informal opera house with high quality performances. Recently watched Trollflöjten and it was beautiful.

Watched Trollflöjten and it was really nice. Hade nice view despite on the last row. Nice atmosphere and friendly service at the bar. Like it is not so formal for a week-day entertainment. Recommended!

Just watched A Christmas Carol at Folkoperan. Marvellous English/Swedish cast. Acting and singing was exceptional. Cast all played their parts perfectly, one moment the audience was laughing and the next crying. The singing was amazing, with all voices complimenting each other. If it wasn't sold out for the run, I would love to have seen it again.

Nice not so big theater. Even the cheaper places give you a nice view of the stage.

Mozart vs Salieri is one of the recent productions showing at Folkoperan. It has a very different feel to other theatres in Stockholm. It is intimate with good acoustics for vocal and instrumental sounds. Wonderful to see a show at !

It’s a beautiful theatre though it has very little room during the break for everyone to move forward to either toilets or lounge (which in fact is hall, passway and café all in one 🧐) Enjoyed the opera played on stage very much!!!

It is a very emblematic place in the city of Stockholm but I was quite surprised by how dirty the main entrance looks, especially next to the marquee that announces the plays of the season, when entering during the day the lobby looks dark and rather careless, if any of your managers read this message I say it with great appreciation: do something about it

A very enjoyable venue. We saw their production of A Christmas Carol and it was very good. As with all the older theatres in Stockholm, the public areas are somewhat small and can get crowded during breaks or when the show is over. It's probably a good idea to order your refreshments for the interval when you first come in.
