2nd visit not as good as the 1st. Room smaller and definitely in need of a refurb.Not as clean as I expected. We did enjoy como

We booked two nights at Fontana rooms and were excited for our stay in Como. Unfortunately our flight was delayed and we were stuck in traffic. We arrived later than check in time which is 8pm. They have no one in reception after this time and don’t leave a key in a safe for you etc. When we arrived we rang the host hoping someone could let us in. The manager was very rude, lacked any empathy or understanding and was unhelpful on the phone. We were stuck in a foreign country at night with no place to stay- it was very stressful! We went back the next day assuming we would be able to stay for the second night at least! The host had cancelled the booking completely costing over £500 for two rooms for two nights! When we went to the desk to complain there was a very sweet girl at reception who did t speak English. She rang the manager who then declined to give a partial refund for the second night. She declined to let us use the room for the second night too! It’s absolutely appalling service. The host was frankly very uncaring and lacked any empathy for a situation out of a customers control. I am not one to complain usually at all but I had to warn people about this terrible experience- my advice DONT BOOK HERE!

We spent 15 nights touring Italy and the Fontana rooms were by far our favourite. Fantastic location room and bathroom were massive and spotless. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for our lovely stay. The bed was so comfortable and so welcoming after our busy days walking

Great quite location with the lake just a few steps away, one feels like home at Fontana Rooms, very clean and reasonable price. Host is very welcoming and super professional, Elena takes care to make the guests welcome and satisfied. Highly recommend this place!!

We enjoyed our stay in Como. Fontana Rooms is located in the historic “old town” area of Como, a charming City. The price of the room was very reasonable and Elena, the proprietor, was wonderful! Room was clean and comfortable. Excellent restaurants are a short walk away. I would seriously consider not bringing a car. Highly recommend!!

We stayed one night in Como having been to the city 5 years ago. We travelled as a group of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids under 6). The location is perfect, right in the middle of the town.||||The room and amenities were great and suited our short stay perfectly. ||||The management were easy to deal with and very accomodating especially as our flight changed from an early morning to late afternoon arrival. ||||Would provide a great central base for a multiple night stay.

Fantastic apartment and great service. Rooms looked really cozy, stylish and tidy. Location is perfect for stay in Como - literally in the city center and right around the corner to ferry station. All necessary touristic spots and nice restaurants are available within walking distance. Special thanks to Elena, who made our stay truly unforgettable - such a welcoming, helpful and friendly host she was. All our questions and requests were promptly addressed, she was available via WhatsApp 24/7. Next to Elena you feel like you have been friends your whole life. We definitely recommend Fontana rooms and will come back one day.

The hotel is perfectly located. Elena the host is extremely nice and helpful. We arrived late for the check-in and she was very convenient. Room are very clean. Thanks a again for the nice stay!
