Went to the cooking class and it was fantastic. I’m well versed now in 3 styles of pasta and a very delicious tiramisu! Among making wonderful connections with classmates and enjoying our meal together, we felt very satisfied with the value this brought to our lives and trip.

I ventured to Siena for the Palio and was lucky enough to have a table booked at Fonte Giusta afterwards—thanks to some local friends who insisted it was the place to go. It turned out to be the perfect spot: we sat outside surrounded by the buzzing post-race atmosphere, and before long the restaurant was completely full with people being turned away. The service was excellent—fast, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Food and drinks arrived quickly, and everything felt effortless. Since it was my first meal in Tuscany, I couldn’t resist ordering the traditional pici (handmade thick spaghetti). I chose the pici al cinghiale (with wild boar ragu) and it was absolutely outstanding—served piping hot, perfectly portioned, and bursting with flavor. I also tried my friend’s pici all’aglione (tomato and garlic sauce), which was equally incredible. Honestly, I wished I could have stayed longer in Siena just to return and try more dishes because everything coming out of the kitchen looked and smelt amazing! Next door, the restaurant also offers cooking classes, which looked like such a fun experience. Next time I’m in Siena, I’ll definitely be back—for both the meal and the class. A must-visit when in Siena!

What an incredible experience we had at the Pasta Lovers cooking class. We loved cooking the 3 delicious sauces, the mouth watering meat stew, the pasta & gnocchi, & the creamy tiramisu as well! We had a lot of fun in a small group, getting to know our fellow classmates, giggling together as we sipped our wine & thoroughly enjoyed the experience guided by chef Giuseppe the owner, & chef Ayoub, who were both extremely warm, friendly & highly skilled. Sitting down in the neighbouring restaurant to eat our creations was so rewarding. Money well spent for a fantastic 3 hours in total. Loved every minute of it!

We had a wonderful family dinner at Fonte Giusta Trattoria & Scuola di Cucina in Siena. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were polite and attentive. We ordered tagliatelle anatra, a hamburger, and for dessert panna cotta and cheesecake. Every dish was fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. What really impressed us was how balanced and authentic everything tasted - even the Coca-Cola felt extra refreshing with such good food! We all left very satisfied and happy. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for traditional yet high-quality Italian food in Siena.

Chiseled into the fortified walls of Siena are notes left centuries ago describing frivolous battles, pointless races, redundant women and wine. The authors of these hieroglyphic scrawlings are for certain forgotten under the warm sun and layers of burnt yellow paint. A blissful recording of rich Tuscan culture and cuisine is still available for daily consumption at the Fonte Giusta on the street of its namesake. Bury yourself.

Google
It’s not a bad dining experience but not excellent either. Service by the young staff is sparse, the duck ragu is quite dry, and the only red wine by the glass isn’t great. Seems like a reliable local family establishment but I wouldn’t seek it out as a destination.

We did the Pasta and Tiramisu Experience at the Fonte Giusta Academy. Dennis was a great instructor and we had a wonderful evening with lovely people. We would definitely recommend it! :-)

Yelp
This is a rather large restaurant and we chose it because many of the tables were full as we walked by. We ordered aperol and limoncello spritzes and they were tasty. As we were in Tuscany we felt we had to order the Istecca Fiorentina beefsteak which is a Tuscan specialty. The waiter said that for 3 people we should order at least 1.2 kg! This turned out to be a perfect amount of this rare grilled beef. We also had a side salad, pumpkin and bread which were all good. It's a charming space with bricked, arched ceilings. Service was slow after the food was delivered so went to the counter for the check but otherwise everything was good.

Yelp
We had great food and service. Our hotel recommended this restaurant and it was delicious. We sat outside. The food was top quality and prices were good. They have indoor dining too.

Yelp
5 for the food. 4.5 for the ambience. 5 for service and nice local wine selection. Lovely traditional restaurant at top end of the historical district. Ps-- they offer cooking classes 2 doors down. Did not try but nice option.

Yelp
Good vibe and we ate well here. Did not make a reservation. Though I don't care for pumpkin anything usually, I liked the pumpkin ravioli. I had a plate of Tuscan cheeses and bruschetta. All good. My friend had a meat plate. Poor piggies.

Yelp
The food was amazing including bistecca ala florentina and a combination of gnocchi with mushroom sauce and spinach ricotta ravioli with pecorino and truffle sauce. Service was a bit chaotic indeed but overall we enjoyed our meal and the house wine

Yelp
Had Roast beef and suckling pig.... What can I say! Beautiful, the best meat we have eaten in a long time. Flavour of both was exquisite. The French fries were hand cooked deliciously sweet. The beef had a beautiful bbq flavour and the pork was succulent.

Yelp
We were delighted to find this wonderful place! The food was amazing. We ordered Tuscan Pici with duck Ragu and steak in wine sauce. Both were excellent. The wine our server suggested was great. The ambiance was upbeat- a great locals place to be. A- One service too. Recommending to family traveling this summer.

Yelp
Love this restaurant. What makes it special is that it also has a cooking school, where you can make homemade pasta, the sauces, a meat dish, and a cantucci dessert. They cook it for you and then you can eat the food you had made!!! I think it's a great deal. For the cooking class we made gnocchi, ravioli, pici, a pork/salami/cheese roll, and the almond biscuits. We were SO STUFFED by the end of our meal because they presented four different pasta dishes and then our secondi and dessert. My favorite is how they cooked the ravioli in truffle sauce. They have wonderful service and it was a great experience overall. Definitely try to do the cooking class, but if not, eating their food is still a great experience.

Yelp
Very nice selection of food and everyone was happy with their meals and wine! Service was very good also

Yelp
Really loved this neighborhood spot, and would def recommend. Simple but excellent food, and great prices. The prosciutto melon was perfect. We also loved the grilled steak with rosemary, and it was a nice break from all the pasta we've been inhaling. The peposo was good, but the polenta was skippable. The service was also fantastic, they had so many waiters working the tables outside and they were interchangeable and very nice. We went to Osteria La Piana, which is right up the street later on, and they def did not come anywhere close to the genuine service of this spot. We'll definitely be coming back next year!

Yelp
This was truly my favorite restaurant in Italy. The service was a bit erratic because the restaurant was full but waiters were about as friendly as they could possibly be. For first course we ordered homemade pasta squares (not ravioli) filled w mozzarella w a truffle white sauce and Parmesan cheese that melted in your mouth. For second course I ordered the suckling pig and received three steaks that were fork tender and exquisitely seasoned. My spouse got the lamb chops which were fine, but nothing out of the ordinary. Should we return to this beautiful town we would stay for at least three days and likely eat here every night.

Yelp
I can't seem to remember if it was Fonte Giusta or Osteria la Piana that we went to. The only way I was even able to narrow it down to these two was through google maps. Please make sure you look at the menu to see if it has the item listed below before eating at either place! While on our honeymoon, my wife and I found this hidden gem of a restaurant while walking from our hotel into the heart of Siena. We were hungry and it looked like it could be good, so we gave it a try. Whenever we had strayed from our guide in Florence, the results were usually pretty sub-par and overpriced, so we didn't set our expectations high when we chose this restaurant. To our surprise though, the food was out of this world! It was like a scene straight out of a movie. The main character strolls down a tiny side street and stumbles into a little family owned trattoria where the cook is a tiny old woman making the recipes her mother and grandmother taught her. They sit down and are stuffed to the brim with excellent food by the caring and charismatic owners who keep telling them "mangia! mangia!". Now I'm pretty sure the cooks aren't old grandma's (I didn't see in the kitchen), but whoever is making these dishes definitely has a passionate connection with this food. They grew up on it and they love it. Some may think you can't tell that from just eating, but I'm a firm believer that you can. The dedication to their craft is clear by the taste and texture, and you can only truly dedicate yourself to something you love. Anyways, enough romanticizing the back story. I can't remember everything we ordered, but if there is one thing I do remember, it's the house-made pasta with meat ragu (I think it was wild boar, but I can're remember). It was one of those first bites you'll always remember. You know, the kind where your eyes open wide, your facial expression turns to pure bliss, and you let out an uncontrollable moan of delight. I had so many wonderful meals on the trip, it's impossible to pick a favorite, but this would most definitely be in the top 3. Considering that we ate 4-5 times a day for 12 days, that's pretty high praise. So if you find yourself in Siena, you MUST go to this place and give it a try. The food is spectacular, the atmosphere is quaint and cute, the prices are very reasonable (especially compared to Florence), and the people are warm and welcoming. The movie Under The Tuscan Sun may have set an unrealistic standard of what people expect when they come to Tuscany, but this restaurant proves that those magical movie moments don't just exist on a Hollywood set. The magic in this place is real and after 3 trips to Italy, they finally gave me that lifelong memory I traveled 6000 miles searching for.

Yelp
Restaurant was very beautiful and large inside. Plenty of wait staff to aide you. I had the Siena beef stew which was superbly seasoned with juniper berries and carrots. The meat was very tender and flavorful. Would defiantly return

Yelp
We have there on 24th Oct 2018. It was good and we enjoyed it. The thick spaghetti tasted great. The beef steak around 500 grams was delicious! It was very big. Home made wine was above my expectation. Total was fair price.

Yelp
This was the first Trattoria we visited in Siena, it was recommended by the hotel and the food was very good. Service is a bit strange, but over all very good. I had wild boar stew which was very good. Good location too, and a lot of locals were in, so that's always a good sign.

Yelp
Loved our late afternoon pizza and wine so much we came back in the evening with 3 other couples for more food and wine. Very friendly staff.

Yelp
Where shall I begin. My wife and I found this place by sheer luck walking the streets of Siena. This place was amazing! Chef Pino and his entire staff were very hospitable and took a genuine interest in teaching us all about Tuscan cuisine. Besides the great class and even better food you can't beat the value. Between the cooking class and our meal afterwards, which consisted of all the items we'd just prepared, we spent 4 very full-filling hours drinking wine and partaking in amazing cuisine. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Yelp
My husband and I have been in Italy for 5 days and this is by far the best dining experience we've had. The food and wine are excellent, prices very reasonable and service absolutely first class.

Yelp
nothing is worst in a restaurant then when a party who walks in after you gets their food before you do. Took at least 15 minutes just to get menus and though we were not in a hurry the waiter comletely forgot to order our main entree. Food was good but attitude was so bad I cannot recommend.

Mike C.

Yelp
Very good. A little slow on a busy Sunday night but the food was great. Pumpkin ravioli and steak by the gram were very good.
