Besides the Bar Tender, there was absolutely no service at the hotel! No Bell Man, no help w any luggage or parking. No service at pool. Food was marginal. Thermal pool was lovely other than that not much more! Also they let someone lock a barking dog in their room for 2 hours. They did nothing! Self Service Hotel!!!!

Without a doubt a stunning location and beautiful property (exterior). Rooms and breakfast felt as thought they fell short of the price point being charged. Room was dusty, ac temp was controlled by reception and shower was very small and did not drain. If you are after a beautiful location and facilities this property is great. We went for dinner in the village which was excellent. Check in was fantastic and the staff member was very helpful in all aspects of showing around the property and advice.

The overall experience at Fonteverde was excellent. The setting is stunning, the service attentive, and the spa facilities are truly outstanding. It’s a place made for relaxation and well-being. The only downside was the room, which felt somewhat worn and in need of refurbishment. However, this did not significantly detract from an otherwise exceptional stay. We would be happy to return.

The one think that sets this place apart from some of the other places I have stayed at is the exceptional customer service. I arrived late at night and they were kind enough to bring us food at 2 in the night. They helped arrange for all the wine tastings nearby and provided great recommendations. The spa experience is out of this world. The only minor thing I felt was lacking was good food to match the amazing experience this place has to offer.

The dinner at the resort was outstanding with an excellent menu selection. The food excelled in quality, taste and variety with excellent service. I would recommend this for a formal dining experience of the first order. |The dining room was lovely and quiet enough that our party of six could hear each other without raising our voices. A lovely dinner experience.

Spa is disappointing. No real cold pools/areas. View is good in only one place, it’s mostly indoors/blocked by a wall, a real waste of the Tuscan countryside. The cafe offering and service is not good. The price is VERY expensive, save your money and don’t go. Better to use your own hotel’s pool

Overall a great experience. If you’re looking to relax in the Tuscan countryside this is a great place to be. The positives: 1) The staff are attentive, 2) the pools are relaxing. 3) The spa and massages are great, 4) the breakfast was fantastic, 5) the cafe for lunch was great. 6) it was my moms birthday and they sent her a bottle of wine. 7) hotel helped us book a guided eBike tour and a wonderful cooking experience at Villa Vetrichina. A few things that were concerning and need improvement: 1) upon arrival no staff member ever mentioned that there is a hotel van that can drop off and pick up at the local restaurants in town. It was mentioned that we can walk 20 minutes to the restaurants. We found out about the van from one of the restaurant owners, not the hotel. Especially for elderly people this is something that should be mentioned. 2) upon arrival we were never given a map or explained anything about the property amenities but noticed others were afforded this opportunity and left us wandering around confused as to where things were 3) the air conditioning in the room simply did not work. It hovered around 25 Celsius or 78 Fahrenheit, despite telling the front desk multiple times, there did not seem to be a solve for this. Not having a properly functioning air conditioning unit in a 5 star hotel is simply unacceptable. Pro tip: If you are coming here you need a car unless you want to stay at the resort the entire time. There are no taxis or uber unless you book in advance.

Nice hotel, but very poor food. Friendly staff and great concierge, but severely understaffed. Breakfast was dull, and the pool “menu” consisted of a hot sandwich or a bland salad. Rooms and pool area are nice (4.5/5), but the food drags everything down. At dinner, all starters were so uninspired I skipped them entirely. I asked for my main course to be served with everyone else’s, but it arrived way too early. Another main course was forgotten — and the kitchen closed. Overall a good stay thanks to a fantastic restaurant 500 meters away (Fontanello), not thanks to the hotel food (1/5).

We did not stay here since we were in our own villa but instead stopped by for a drink at their fantastic bar. The setting is very elegant without being overly garish and there is plenty of seating, both at the bar and in the lounge. Drinks were a bit pricey but to be considered as it is a 4 star hotel. Staff was pleasant and we enjoyed the cocktails (I had a negroni). Some interesting shops off the lounge including a very good wine boutique featuring some vintage high end Tuscan wines at good prices. Well worth a visit.
