Imagine a big venue with 10 different food stalls inside, different type of cuisine from all over the world, good music and a bar with a very good choice of drinks. Well that is Foodhallen. I knew them already from Scheveningen but they are now also in Rotterdam.

Perfect to make a culinaric cruise around the World...especially the Primitivo at the Wine-Bar is delicious! Tip: The lounge in front is a cosy and calm place to enjoy wine and food

Wow.....what an experieance. Your stomach is too small for all the great flavours and delights on offer. Any kind of comfort food to typical street foods, no matter your taste. You will find it there. From the many cheese stalls, spices, swarmas, bakeries, sushi, classics, east european, asian, desserts, delis and more delis of many other international cuisines all under one roof. There is also a big asian food store on the west side.....they have it all. A great place to eat anytime of the day when travelling, dine in or take away. All green packaging, no plastics. Some stores take cash, some credit card only.

The atmosphere in this place is just great. It’s so nice to walk around and pick what you like. We tried the paradise taster from the Korean corner which was just lovely. The chicken was very nicely seasoned and the vegetarian bites were very tasty. The chicken fries from the Barbarossa counter could have had a bit more sauce and cheese and the cheese and lava cake from the pizza corner were just ok. However the experience made it a very nice evening out.

Great venue, first time there and would definitely recommend to anyone going to the area. Lots of choice of food types.

Nice spot in a vibrant location in the Kop van Zuid. A very spacious, industrial-looking space with plenty of food stalls to choose between. From Italian pizza to Eastern European food to Asian. A whole world of food all in once place. There’s also a bar for drinks and on large screens you can watch sports games like soccer. The quality of food as well as service differs greatly per food stall. Some of it is just fast food. Others quite good with great service. The hall itself is one giant open space and when it gets crowded it can be difficult to have good conversation. All in all a nice place for a quick bite or a socializing drink with colleagues for example but nothing more than that.

Great place to meet with friends, particularly if you all like different foods. Really nice vibe and feeling very festive with all the Christmas decorations.

Lovely atmosphere and the food was truly amazing. However, I found the options slightly limited. I suggest going with a larger group to make the most out of the experience and split the costs, especially considering the higher prices; it lets you try more dishes without spending too much on your own.

Yelp
I've been to Rotterdam numerous times in the past and I've got to say that over the years it's a city that gets better & better, especially when it comes to the food scene! I stayed at the Room Mate Bruno Hotel (odd naming) and right next door, connected to the hotel (but not affiliated) is the Foodhallen Rotterdam. Here you'll find over 10 food stands selling everything from burgers to Korean street food. I decided to try the Indonesian spot, Tante San, and ordered the Beef Rendang. The dish was great, very authentic in flavor and taste! It came with a lot of the side offerings along with a chili sauce that really packs a punch. The only gripe I have was that the veggies that come on the side was a little lackluster, as they tasted a bit "water logged". There are a lot of vegetarian dishes offered though and I wonder if those may be better... The Foodhallen itself was nice, very clean with high and low top tables and the food stalls were nicely spread out, although some stalls felt "hidden" depending on which entrance you used. Overall, very cool concept and would recommend visiting when in Rotterdam!

Yelp
Went on an early Saturday afternoon expecting it to be packed, but the place was very sparsely filled. That wasn't a good sign. The food was mediocre and predictably expensive. Only one place offered anything that resembled Dutch fare. The rest was different ethnic foods that weren't very good. There was a DJ stand and 2 big bars. It looked like this place is more popular at night as a bar with loud music. Not at all what I expected. I stayed in the Lijnbaan area where it was packed with people out shopping and such. The hood outside here and only 3 tram stops away seemed very dull. Very disappointed.

Yelp
Upscale international food court--dog friendly! We had Vietnamese Pho and South American snacks--like empanadas, but with another name, and fried plantains.

Yelp
We found this place by mistake! We were following a map given to us at the train station by one of the information desk people. He suggested a walking tour of Rotterdam, which we were following, but I think we turned down the wrong street in our travels and came upon this place! We were cold, soaked and hungry. We saw the words food and hall and decided that we needed to be in that (this) place, whatever it was. I'm so glad we chanced it because it is such a cool place! The building used to be something industrial, but I have no idea what. There are several (10-15) businesses inside; all but one served food. There is a rather large bar with an extensive drink list, Mexican, Vietnamese, Seafood, Burgers, and various other restaurants all inside. You go up to any one you want, wait around until your food/drink is ready (you get one of those blinking disks), sit where you want, and enjoy. From the bar, hubs tried beers, I drank cokes, and we shared Waygu Bitterballen and French Fries with chimichurri sauce from a place called Restaurant Bavette. Everything was delicious, but I have to be honest...the texture of the Bitterballen threw me. I was expecting a meatball, and they are more like cream candies, but crispy outside. I would definitely try more, but as this was my first time, no one told me what to expect. The food hall has tables everywhere, and you can sit at regular tables or bar heights. It wasn't very busy, and I'm guessing it was because it was the middle of the day, but I can see it as a place I'd like to hang out at in the evenings...it has a very nice atmosphere. This place will stick in my memory and if I'm ever back in Rotterdam, I will definitely be coming here again! 39/2019

Yelp
Fun concept. You gotta walk around to get some food and the area is pretty chill. I got the worst food ever at the burger place tho. Small burger without taste

Yelp
I ordered nachos from Taqueria Lima. For a whole €10, i got stale Tostidos chips, the gross orange cheese sauce, and what tasted/looked like tomato sauce which they labelled as fresh salsa. TEN EUROS.
