Tried to go there last night! But they closed their doors 11 minutes before midnight! This was unacceptable! I took a photo of the female worker that refused to open the doors for us! Corporate should definitely step in! Or at least the store manager! This worker did not look like a store manager!

I work next to this location so always going in to get snacks for my breaks. The last couple of times I’ve went to self check out the lady that works in the morning monitoring customers at self check out has been rude. Today I bought a bag and when I went up to her she refused to even acknowledge me and proceeded to text on her phone. When I asked for my bag she scoffed and threw one towards me and went back to texting on her phone. Customer service means a lot and your self check out clerk needs to be trained in it. This was around 11am this morning, didn’t catch her name.

RATS!!! I cannot, in good conscience, recommend shopping at FoodMaxx. My experience there was far from what one would expect from a reputable grocery store, turning what should have been a routine shopping trip into a distressing ordeal. The issue at hand is not just about product variety or pricing; it’s a matter of public health and safety. During my visit, I encountered rats - not just any rats, but ones that could rival Chihuahuas in size. This alarming situation goes beyond a minor infestation; it’s a severe problem that raises significant concerns about the cleanliness and overall safety of the environment. Such sightings suggest a lack of effective pest control measures, which is unacceptable for any establishment dealing with food. Given the severity of this issue, I urge potential shoppers to reconsider their choice. Health and safety should always be a top priority, and unfortunately, it seems that FoodMaxx is currently unable to meet these basic requirements. For those in the area, Vons is located just across the street and offers a safer, cleaner shopping experience. Your health and wellbeing are worth the slight inconvenience of crossing the road and paying Maybe 25% more on your Groceries but it doesn’t come with a side of the plague Please, for your own safety, choose an alternative until FoodMaxx addresses and rectifies this grave concern.

Produce was fresh, pricing seems reasonable. I gave only 3 stars because the staff is rude. I went through self checkout & the gal seemed like i was bothering her for bags. As i was leaving I said thank you & she completely ignored me. Throughout the store it seems like the employees are miserable. If you dont like customer service then don't do it! It's a good thing i only go there a couple times a year... i think I'll stick to Vons across the street. At least they don't look ay me like i stole their husband.

It's a nice store with a good location. Prices are very good and selection good.

They only have 2 lines open be prepared to wait 30 min in line after 8pm self check out is closed and one staff at check out is so slow on purpose like she does not want to be here .

This FoodMaxx location has many employees and never any cashiers open very long lines all the time!!

For some odd reason it took me 8 minutes (without any help) to figure out where the sour cream was. Literally it's ODDLY spaced out. (Dairy products) for some reason this foodmaxx seems smaller than it really is?! Either it's the aisles spacing or how they have the layout but it seems like there's less items in the store? On both accounts I was able to find, grab my items and leave. They had manufacturer q's available by the entrance but they all expired today 11/01/2016 how is that of any convenience to consumers? Not much if you ask me. But I do LOVE the fact that they have the sodas and candy section together.

Cash register was a young lady. She was mad had a bad attitude and was throwing my food around very unprofessional. She should quit her job if she doesn't like working there.

Danny! Rudest cashier ive seen in my life! His registered belt was half emptied! As i reached over to grab the separator he yelled at me he wasn't done and for me to move to selfcheckout! Clearly no one was behind us! Dude was so freaking rude Danny you PoS! If you dont like your job just quit dude! You'll do everyone a huge favor! F rating for this asshole l!

I walked in today to see if they had a certain pork cut and they didn't...the guy who helped me was helpful great service. I only came for the pork and as I was leaving this older man wearing glasses stared at me as I returned my cart to the cart area asked if I found everything okay as he scanned my basket and saw nothing but my messenger bag. He followed me out, and stared until I was 50ft away from the door! So I went back and showed him my bag and said don't follow me outside. He acted like he wasn't but yet he glanced in my bag. Your job isn't that serious.

Hi. I'm very disappointed. As someone's niece who was a good worker there. I walked in with a back pack as a purse. Because I can't have a purse cus my ankle is fractured. And I was having that on my back so I don't get unbalance and fall. And where else do u think I have my money. . Security tells me. I have to leave I said ok. But then I see another girl who's prettier. Go in with a back pack. I felt a bit uncomfortable. And hurt. And it didn't help the security guard look high as heck and not even talking right. Like you can even smell the marijuana. I'm sorry. I really loved this place growing up . Because my uncle use to work here for a long time it brakes me that I won't be going any longer.

SHOPPING CARTS ARE FILTHY trash inside them Debri crap on then we have some Mommy they kids are placed on the carts with. sagging diapers this Food maxx is so dirty ! Why do we settle to spend out hard working money well I DONT don't get EBT i want spend my money here at least they care about keeping the stores carts clean

Need more checkers. As a previous employee at a high volume store. They wouldn't allow this. Come on FoodMaxx this isn't Walmart

Great store! Roof leaks. Great values! I have been shopping here for many years and find out the prices are very go and good quality meats, and groceries seven vegetables, and anything else you might need. The Store clerks are very, very polite and kind and accommodating. I would try the store if I review it is really quite nice but don't go when it's raining because the roof leaks. Five star rating.

It is true Food Max has better prices on diary, produce, meats but they have horrible customer service especially in their produce dept. I called to inquire about their naval oranges that they had for sale .77 per lb and no one picked up. When I got there most of them 90 percent were bad and some were rotten and not thrown away. True you guys have better prices than other supermarkets but other supermarkets have more varieties of brand names and way better customer service. I can say Winco is the best all around supermarket for your every day needs and wants so Skip Food Maxx and head over to Winco for better everything.

i just came back from shopping at food max and they got their chicken wings pack sale for $6+ and I bought over 10 packs and the cashier specific told me "I limited you 5 pack of chicken only!".. when there no limit sign at the meat department where the chicken wings is at and not only that I got legs pack and yet she doesn't limit me on those but the wings. The cashier lady was very rude.

We came here during the Coronavirus/toilet paper famine pandemic and it was a great experience. Normally we shop at WinCo for the low prices, but Winco had a line out the door and they had to wait up to 30 minutes just to get IN the store. So we went to the next closest grocery store- FoodMaxx on Kings Canyon. We just walked right in, the shopping carts had disinfectant wipes, and they had bottled water, toilet paper, rubbing alcohol and eggs. There were quite a few shoppers, but they were really good about keeping their distance and all the check out clerks were very fast and friendly.

Stores always clean and well organized. Today we get there...security nowhere in site. Homeless dude laying on the ground right outside the door smoking. Hubby told a manager, she seemed not to care. Make me want to get groceries...NOT.

There are always long lines unless you go late at night because it's always only about 3 cashiers working. The upside is their fruits and vegetables are always fresh. Just hold it in if you need to use the restroom because it is filthy in there.

This is my go-to grocery store in the neighborhood. It is always clean and well stocked, with great prices and customer service. The employees are always helpful and friendly. If you ask them for help, they will go out of their way to find what your looking for. Sometimes the wait in line can be excessive, but that is to be expected for how many people they serve. Oh, and they are one of the only stores in the area to have a wide variety of vegetarian options.

They used to be a good store with friendly employees.. I'm not sure what happened over the last couple of years.. but this place has definitely declined!

This store is not the cheapest it's in comparison to winco. I purchase fruit and veggies often here because it's so close I'm disappointed in the quality, my apples were brown inside and lemons were dried out. This store is smaller so you can't find a lot of products you may need. Homeless and beggars swarm the area so dont go alone. Lines are always long usually 2 cashiers and they are talking over you delaying your whole check out process.

This used to be my favorite store. Today they were out of something in the produce department and I could not find anyone in the store that worked in produce. I ask one of the regular workers to find someone to help me - she tried - to no avail. Evidently they are not hiring enough people to work the store anymore-sad. I will try the Blackstone store and see if it's any better, otherwise....‍

While I was in self checkout, I scanned a perishable item & it wasn't the same price as tagged. I asked the cashier for help & explained to her that it was different from the price they have listed. She asked me whether I wanted the item or not so I told her no. She didn't say anything else & then suddenly started talking in Spanish to her coworker who happen to walk by. All I could understand was perishable item & they kept talking in Spanish. They gave each other a look & continue talking as if I wasn't there. My assumption is that they were talking about me. I think this could've been prevented. Management needs to talk to their employees. I'm sure if they came to my workplace & I started taking in my language they wouldn't appreciate it either. My rant.

I ordered cupcakes 5 days ahead of pick up time and came to pick up cupcakes that had additional different frosting colors. They had wiped off the first color of frosting and replaced with the color I requested. It looked horrible. I would not order cupcakes from them again.

Can't explain why they deserve a five-star. Let's see: 1) Good customer service. For a lean operation, I'm not saying they are there in every aisle or anything, but if you need help, you don't need to feel afraid to ask. 2) Always into improvements. Since the store changed from Savemart, they had to renovate to emphasize the efficiency and retail warehouse theme. To this end they now have flyers that help you locate which aisle you can find what which is very helpful for people in wheelchairs. 3) Self-service check-out. They invested in up-to-date technology style checkout registers. It's really great when you have less than 20 items, and it will accept debit, credit, food card, cash. 4) Friendly which is the people who generally shop here are not in a hurry, they are sort of in the same cohort group as me, but of course on different days there are different sorts of people. 5) Nice selection. Never need to worry about out-of-date foods, rotting vegetables, sanitation issues. Some customers are sloppy about keeping the freezer doors shut. 6) Give back to the community. Savemart corporation has given a lot back to this community, not just the Center, but in lots of small ways, from good employment opportunities and training programs, to food donations during the holidays, to just being open to consumer feedback.
