Can't explain why they deserve a five-star. Let's see:
1) Good customer service. For a lean operation, I'm not saying they are there in every aisle or anything, but if you need help, you don't need to feel afraid to ask.
2) Always into improvements. Since the store changed from Savemart, they had to renovate to emphasize the efficiency and retail warehouse theme. To this end they now have flyers that help you locate which aisle you can find what which is very helpful for people in wheelchairs.
3) Self-service check-out. They invested in up-to-date technology style checkout registers. It's really great when you have less than 20 items, and it will accept debit, credit, food card, cash.
4) Friendly which is the people who generally shop here are not in a hurry, they are sort of in the same cohort group as me, but of course on different days there are different sorts of people.
5) Nice selection. Never need to worry about out-of-date foods, rotting vegetables, sanitation issues. Some customers are sloppy about keeping the freezer doors shut.
6) Give back to the community. Savemart corporation has given a lot back to this community, not just the Center, but in lots of small ways, from good employment opportunities and training programs, to food donations during the holidays, to just being open to consumer feedback.
