I have been multiple times when I holiday in Aberdeen. On almost every occasion, the food has been delicious and incredible (but very pricey). However losing one star because on my last visit my salads were swimming in oil, I had to pour off about half a teacupful of oil. Everything still tasted greasy. I assume someone else made the salads that day and had screwed it up. The postings about dirty cutlery and dirty floors and tables that need wiping and clearing are correct. The staff could be a LOT more active and attentive to these important details rather than stand around absently as they often seem to do.

Absolutely loved this place! The vibe is upbeat and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed meal. The salads and beverages were fresh and flavorful, but the standout was definitely the mango chutney grilled cheese—such a unique twist and so delicious! Most salads you could get half and half. If you’re looking for a spot with great food and atmosphere, definitely give this place a try!

Lovely visit to Foodstory on a sunny day. They have a seating area at the back of the cafe if you wish to dine al fresco. I ordered the large salad bowl which includes three salads of your choice (12.85). There were five to choose from. The salad bowl comes topped with homemade hummus and mixed seeds. Everything tasted fantastic, full of flavour and something totally different in Aberdeen. Shout out to the staff who were so kind and helpful, delivering 5 star service. The peach and thyme bake was out of this world delicious. Highly recommend Foodstory to anyone.

This place is amazing, I'd say a top spot to visit as a tourist. It's definitely made special by the excellent staff - the owners ought to hold on to the very chatty local guy with a beanie. The food is incredible - so flavourful and rich, totally worth what it costs. Allergen-friendly, good for breakfast lunch and dinner. Obadiah coffee is in the hopper, made well. The grocery corner stocks a variety of vegan-friendly snacks and ingredients. The interior is very cozy and roomy, the floor is well laid-out. Nice chill music, not too loud, affords comfortable conversation even if you sit close to a speaker. There is also free WiFi, I imagine it's a good spot for some laptop work. There is no stair-free entrance that I could see. There are two front entrances with two small steps each. Will definitely be back when I'm next in Aberdeen.

A great central cafe for meeting friends, working, relaxing and of course eating the amazing vegetarian food on offer. Overall service is friendly though not necessarily attentive or engaging. The atmosphere is pleasant with good ambient chill out music. Additionally, there's a great selection of herbal teas, natural products and fresh produce to purchase. Photos include: Mushroom Sourdough Toast - A beastly and beautiful breakfast sure to fill you up. Pumpkin Spice Latte (Decaf) - a yummy hot drink with a slightly alternative taste to the usual coffee = £15.50 Finally, the warm Cinnamon Buns are pretty delicious 😋🥮☕

Yelp
This is my favourite place for coffee in Aberdeen. It is damn good. Like so damn good I do a little happy jig in the car when I'm on my way because i know that soon I'll have in my grubby little hands a lovingly made latte by a knowledgeable Barista and it will make my tummy warm and my heart sing and my body feel alive. It's that damn good. I've also had a quick lunch to go and it was delicious! The falafel wrap had in it possibly the best falafel I've ever tasted, and the sweet potato salad was in abundance it my little lunch box. Service is always super friendly when I go in. It's also always busy and I cannot wait for an evening when I'm not completely drained from work so I can go in and enjoy a meal. Highly recommended. I'll stop the happy jig... for now.

Yelp
Visited here for breakfast with my Mum on Monday. This cafe very much has Glasgow West end vibes but in Aberdeen. However it was Dear Green coffee being used! So a little bit of Glasgow in the granite city. As expected the Americanos were ace. I had the granola with yoghurt and berry compote. Lovely and fresh granola but could have done with more yoghurt. Mum had the rye bread with salmon and avocado. The menu said tomato as well but it was more like 70%tomato, 20% salmon and avocado and 10 bread. so a lot of tomatoes got left! A great place with some incredible looking bakes.

Yelp
Food Story has an interesting and varied menu perfect for vegans and vegetarians. We ate here twice in our travels. (The only issue we had is that we kept arriving late for lunch/early for dinner which meant they were in the process of changing their food offering, so you may want to pay attention to their hours.) All desserts are vegan.

Yelp
I have to be honest, I wasn't setting a high bar for a vegetarian restaurant. What a pleasant surprise! The food was so good, and the value for what I paid was right on the money. I had the green pesto wrap (recommend), but the star of the show was the pesto pasta salad. I would probably choose a large serving of the salad alone in the future...it was so good! I would imagine finding a place to park could be challenging, but take on the challenge to give this place a try!

Yelp
Great vegetarian restaurant, went there for breakfast and will come back. Food was very tasty, huge portion and very nice staff.

Yelp
Good cosy vegetarian/vegan place for lunch and breakfast. They have good coffee and nice atmosphere. They have fritz sodas but ran out of homemade iced tea when I was there. Fast service, even during the busy lunch period when lots of locals come in on their lunch break.

Yelp
This is the coolest place to eat in Aberdeen. Now obviously Aberdeen is a culinary wasteland, mediocre restaurants prevail in the grey city of destitute greyness in which this self same pervasive grey seeps into the gastric offerings of the city. Did I use the word grey enough? Fret not though, for the Foodstory Café is a splash of colour to fend off the dismal and add some brightness to the culinary palate of Scotland's most dismal place you can chose to reside. Okay less prattling on and a review: this place is a funky cool little cafe serving up a tasty range of food. I've been a few times and managed to get a vegan option no problem on all occasions. Incidentally eating out vegan is not easy in Aberdeen. There is a large table that is somewhat of a communal affair whereby you just sit at a space and mingle in with the other customers. This can be delightful if you are fond of the occasional bit of spontaneous banter with your fellow person. If you are socially awkward though you may want to retire to a more private introvert friendly table of which there are a choice few too. It's not a large place, and on one occasion the air con had packed in and it was rather hot, akin to dining out in Namibia, but even the desert like air on that occasion didn't detract from the enjoyment of the quality food. The atmosphere I've always enjoyed, with a slightly rushed energy to the place on one occasion, and on others a relaxed "I have all day to slowly consume my soup" feel. I thoroughly recommend this place. If you have taste, you will like it. If not, you will not be missed ;-)

Yelp
First visit to Foodstory on Tuesday evening and it won't be my last. A friend recommended it for us to have a catchup after not seeing each other in 6 months. I had a white hot chocolate which was absolutely delicious and felt really at home - it's got a bit of an East London vibe to it, just wish it had been open when I used to live in the Deen! We sat there for about three and a half hours with only one hot drink each and we were never made to feel unwelcome or like we were taking up valuable space. I'll definitely be back on return trips home!

Yelp
Took the train up from Edinburgh just to try this place, and was pleased with the experience. Good vibe, healthy choices and friendly staff made it very enjoyable. The next time we are anywhere near the east coast of Scotland we will definitely return here

Yelp
Fantastic little place with great atmosphere and incredible vegan food. More stars required - 5 is not enough.
