Extremely hospitable and friendly environment. Clean and cozy stay. Loved my stay here. Staff is very helpful and kind even at 12 in the night! Made my first visit to Singapore a memorable one. Ooh and it's very reasonable too. Plus it's located close to an MRT station and the city. And did i mention that they have a yummy spread of breakfast too? Totally worth your bucks! Completely changed my anxiety about staying at a hostel. Thanks Darius and Job :)

Overall good experience! Communication is fast and pleasant. Check in was easy, and possible sooner than stated. Also staff is quit friendly but sometimes pay more attention to their mobile phones :) Breakfast is basic and room is small but for included price it's great! Showers on second floor not very clean. Ceiling quite moldy but smell is OK without any problems. Rooms are great, lockers are too small for backpacks though. After all a good choice on Footprints!

The hostel location is easily good. Has many restaurants and 2 nearby metro station. But Air conditioning in the dormitory and cleanliness in the washrooms was not the mark. The air conditioning is active only during night time but felt it as insufficient. The staff here is very cooperative and the hostel provides breakfast. One can try if solo and really on budget.

While I was there visiting I was very sick, I couldn't stop coughing, of course this was not the hotels fault I was sick but naturally I didn't want to wake up the bunk mates in the room I was in, so I spent most of my nights in the lobby waiting, the first night I stayed up until 6 am and went upstairs to sleep, I woke up at 8 am pouring in sweat, they turn off all the AC's in the room at 7 am and it turns into a sauna and stays that way until 7:25 pm when they turn the AC back on. It says 7 PM But it doesn't turn on until 7:20 pm or so. One night I was finally not coughing much and decided to try to sleep, and roaches were crawling all over me. I felt uncomfortable and went into the lobby and there I found more roaches on the couch. I told the lady and she gave me another room. She was the only nice employee there. That room was much nicer, still same sauna problem. Definitely would never recommend this place. There were stains all over the mattresses that made them ugly and disgusting looking, they gave you sheets to put over them, I think they should do whatever they could to hide those mattresses before you get there. It's disgusting. They need new mattresses. Good location in Little India near the MRT and all public transportation ( buses, taxis ) roach infestation, very dirty, only nice area is the lobby, needs new paint, needs AC all day, needs a better AC unit too. Just a sad place. I wouldn't recommend staying here, save your money for a nicer place.

Good deal for what it is. Unfortunately for me, the cleaners dismantled my bed a day before my checkout date (clearly displayed on the bed tag) and stole what I had left out ($80 microfiber towel, $45 travel pillow, sandals, socks, sunglasses.) Took it up with reception who said the cleaners didn't see anything. Also my bag was gone through and had clothes hanging out of it. Everything in the locker was fine.

We picked this hostel because it was highly rated on Hostelworld and honestly I can't see why it was so highly regarded by other patrons. We received a space in a 10 bed mixed dorm for S$12 per night (if I remember correctly) including free breakfast. The rooms were quite standard and included lockers which required your own padlock. The rooms contained air conditioning, which was lack luster and the room remained hot during the night. The breakfast was just toast and semi-stale cereal. With free hot drinks. The area is not great, but it is close to a subway station allowing easy access to the whole rest of the city. The WiFi is weak. The laundry facilities are not great, and expensive. The shared showers / bathrooms are kept rather clean which is good. The staff are friendly and quite helpful when any problems arise. Overall, not great but cheap. There are other nicer looking hostels in the local area so I, personally would stay with them next time I'm in Singapore. But this is pretty decent bang for the buck.

Starting with the good: in little India and close to other tourist attractions, very close to the MRT station, staff was very friendly, bathrooms were kept pretty clean. The rooms weren't the cleanest. They give you the linens to make the bed (which is fine) but there was hairs and stains on the bed and the shelf was very dusty, so not sure if they ever clean it. Sheets had stains and a hole but you could tell that it had been washed. Another side note, if you are looking to make friends as a backpacker this may or may not be the place. I met a few cool people, but for the most part this hostel is a hot spot for older men doing I don't know what in Singapore. Both my friend and I stayed in separate rooms and both had problems with our hostelmates, not that this is the hostel's fault in any way but sometimes different hostels attract different people :) Breakfast is included. Coffee, tea, toast and cereal. Overall, the price was decent and it was okay to sleep in a few nights.

I stayed here in 2015. The overall impression was quite comfortable. It is near MRT station, and Mustafa center too. The bathroom is clean enough, soap and hairdryer is available in there so you don't need to bring them, the kitchen is cozy. Just remember that you need to clean and wash your own dishes and take off the bed sheet before you check out. There are no lift in here so prepare to climb that stairs.

Yelp
Clean and friendly hostel in Little India with a good price-quality ratio. It's easy to find with a 10-15 min walk from Bugis station that connects directly to the airport. The area of Little India is interesting and full of life, but seemed like a safe enough neighbourhood. The hostel pays attention to safety and no extra people are allowed upstairs in rooms normally and the door to staircase works with a security code. The hostel is clean and well organised. I stayed in a 10 bed mixed dorm and found it very good for the price. There are power sockets by each bed which is convenient. The rooms have air conditioning that turns on in the evening and stops in the morning. The first night the AC was on too strong and the room was freezing cold in the morning, but there is a remote controller in the room to adjust the temperature and this helped a lot. Breakfast is included in the price but if you're not into sweet cereals or toast then best head to the centre to fill your belly in one of the nice cafes. There is a 20 SGD deposit to be paid on arrival and the stay needs to also be paid in cash, so make sure to get some local currency before arrival. Overall great hostel and friendly staff! The front terrace is also a great place to relax before heading out to the town.

Yelp
I think this place is good for its value. For $25 a night, you get a bed, fresh linens, AC, WiFi, locker, clean bathroom, hot water and clean toilet. Most importantly, there is security. Well, on the second floor and up. Guests have to punch a code to get into the dorms. The first floor rooms are along the street but you get your own key and bathroom. The front porch is a great place to people watch in Little India. The staff is really friendly and will work with you to make your stay comfortable. I've visited a few hostels and this one is one of my favorite. There are lots of backpackers of all ages to stay here. It really is a backpacker's kind of hostel.

Yelp
Balances + deposit CASH ONLY Pros: -SERVICE (5 stars) Great staff and service. The lady at the front desk is extremely nice. She gave us advice and directions on how to get to places, which buses to take, and what times to go, etc. -ENVIRONMENT (4 stars) No ticks or bugs on the beds. -Breakfast included. (Toast, jam, coffee, milk. Cereal tastes a bit stale.) -Good location (5-10 min walking from Bugis, Little India, and Arab Quarter) Cons: -QUALITY OF LIVING (4 stars) The entire hostel does not look new. It's live-able but definitely do not expect a 5-star hotel or anything. -Bathroom is decent. It's a bit dimly/poorly lit and has a sketchy feel. -Bedrooms are also not as brightly inviting. The other girls we lived with were not very talkative. Overall environment was satisfying but not extremely friendly. -Towel, shampoo/conditioner, soap NOT included -Lock for locker also not included -Poor wifi service in bedroom/upper floors. (Wifi connection was best on the ground floor.) I've stayed in at least five other hostels during my time abroad in Asia and this is one unfortunately ranks in the bottom two. The one in Japan and Korea were clearly the best ones but Footprints Hostel in Singapore just cannot compare to them in terms of quality of living, environment, appearance, and facilities. Would recommend staying here if you're on a budget. I stayed here for three nights and it was okay. However, I'd probably try to look for another place next time I come.

Yelp
Been and stayed there 3 times. A clean and comfortable place, even though the air conditioning is off during afternoon, hopefully they would place some sort of purifier system in the hostel. Keep up the good work.
