7 Best Train Rides in Texas — Vintage Cars and Scenic Views Included
"The Forest Park Miniature Railroad dates back to the 1950s and takes visitors on a quick, five-mile journey through Fort Worth’s Trinity Park, crossing over six bridges along the way. The family-friendly ride clocks in at just over 40 minutes, making it short but sweet. It’s open for rides year-round, but its schedule varies, depending on weather, so check in with the conductors before booking a ticket." - Travel + Leisure Editors
I took my daughter to enjoy the ride on this miniature train around the park and she enjoyed herself. It was $10 for adults and $8 for a child. Nice calm ride and near the end you get to stop at a shop and get popcorn, cotton candy, a drink, hotdog, and candy apples.

Such a fun experience for all ages! We arrived around 9:35 am for the 10 am train and there were only a handful of people there. We bought our tickets and waited around in the shaded area. Right about 5 minutes before the train left the station, more people arrived and there was still plenty of room.
It was a nice ride with scenic views and views of fun activities for families to do after all around the Trinity Park area.
We stopped for a quick snack/ potty break at a rest station and were back off about 10 minutes later.
We will be going back and will bring some friends next time!

Fun weekend activity. A 50-55 minute miniature train ride to enjoy a 5 mile ride through Trinity Trail Park. There is a train every hour starting at 10 am (the officials may include a second one if the wait queue is long). Adult tickets cost $10.
Fun way to enjoy greenery with the clickety-clack of train wheels.

If your kids likes trains, this would definitely put a smile or two on their face. Staff and everyone in the route was friendly.
Mini train rides are usually short consisting of a small loop, not this one. The whole ride was almost an hour including a stop and mid point for snacks for purchase.
The scenery was great and trains are well maintained. Totally worth it.

My kiddos had an absolute blast! The train ride was a lot of fun and took us over and under several bridges. The staff was pretty organized and efficient. It was about a 50-minute train ride over (they say) 5 miles. The experience was awesome, and it definitely was a great way to end our day at the Fort Worth Zoo!

Great little place to take kids for a fun train ride. The line moved surprisingly fast on the day we went. We got there about 30 minutes after it opened and there was a pretty good size crowd already there. The train does stop by a snack shop on the way back, they have nachos, hotdogs and drink and a few more items. It's worth the trip specially if you have a family member that loves trains.

The ride was an hour long. It does start on the hour, but they were nice enough to let us get on because we got there right at 2pm. It does stop half way for snacks. We had a hot and nachos from the stand. Also a paletero was there if you wanted something cold.

A true Fort Worth must visit. This has been in operation a very long time, and has had a fresh coat of paint since my last visit 20 years ago. It can be a very relaxing trip and possibly a bit boring for little ones after the initial hype, but go on a cool day and enjoy the ride.
