This was honestly a great place to stay while in Venice. Very clean and comfortable and the people who work there are very kind. I checked in late at night and they messaged me with detailed instructions on how to get inside. They also left me a map to get to my room as the place is quite large and it was very easy to follow. I had an amazing stay here and would love to visit again!

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a pleasant experience overall. The reception staff was very humble and welcoming, making check-in smooth and hassle-free. It's comfortable to live in for the price you pay.

Location was excellent...just 5-8 mins from Piazza San Marco which is the prime attraction. Also easy to get to from the airport via the alilaguna water transport. Messaging from the staff was prompt and excellent which helped be reach with minimum challenges. Room itself was larger than expected, neat and tidy. Large openable windows overlooking the canal. Nice, clean external (but private) bathroom. The inside of this hotel was unexpectedly large and impressive - period property. Large breakfast hall with reasonable italian breakfast options. Checkout and luggage storage was also simple and efficient. possibly some improvements in breakfast options - maybe some hot items. And a couple of more pillows may have helped in terms of comfort but these are minor niggles. Overall we were quite happy with the place and service.

The hotel is in an excellent position within Venice, close to all the main attractions (St. Mark’s Basilica, Rialto Bridge, etc.). The building is unique as it is a listed building. There is no elevator, which can cause problems for those with mobility issues. Also, the breakfast had limited options and could be improved. The rooms could be decorated to highlight the listed building.

I have been a returning guest at the Foresteria Valdese di Venezia for 10 years. It's a beautiful palazzo and the rooms are beautiful. Everyone working there is kind and helpful. The location couldn't be better. And I like that it's a run by a service-oriented organization working to save and restore the palazzo, and make the world a better place.

Very old facility, unprofessional staff. I booked here through Agoda, before they sent me messages for check in, I had requested to call a restaurant to book for me. But they didn’t reply about it and sending check in info. I asked again to call a restaurant as they don’t have online booking system. But they ignored me. On the day I checked in, the women who has ginger hair told me “I tried to call but…” - I didn’t believe that. And she said “I’ll try to call again” but I didn’t hear anything since then. Then I explored the city, came back. She told me “did you go that restaurant?” Of course NO. As I didn’t hear anything since then update from her. But she seemed very upset that I didn’t go. How come I will go to restaurant without notification about booking. So silly. The night before check-out, I came down with a high fever. So, on the morning of the check-out day at 8 a.m., I went to the reception and asked if I could stay a little longer, but they only allowed a 30-minute extension. What a heartless hotel. Also, I told them “I have a cold,” but the ginger-haired woman misunderstood and thought I was saying the room was cold. Clearly, my English didn’t get through, and it was truly exhausting. I will never return, and I do not recommend this place to anyone. There was an air conditioner installed, but the power didn’t respond at all. The reception was absolutely terrible.

We paid for the most luxurious double bed room with a balcony, we got a room 11 that was not painted, the equipment was not up to par, there was no balcony, mold in the shower, a very poor breakfast and the worst thing was the soundproofing of the room. At 3 am someone started walking above us and it didn't stop until 6 am. Which was repeated the next day. Unfortunately, every step was loudly heard. No response or correction from the hotel. Unfortunately, we were very dissatisfied.
