Excellent stay in the best location in Venice. The room was very comfortable, with outstanding heating, which made a big difference. It was probably the cleanest place I have ever stayed in. Everything was spotless and very well maintained. Special thanks to the receptionist Sara — she was amazing: extremely kind, professional, attentive, and always willing to help. She gave great recommendations, answered all our questions, and made us feel truly welcome. Her hospitality made our stay even more special.

Location-wise, it’s perfect, and the price is very reasonable. I booked a single room with a shared bathroom, and the room looked exactly like the photos on their website. The shared bathroom was consistently clean, which I really appreciated. The only downside was the noise at night. Some guests can be a bit inconsiderate, and you can clearly hear people talking, as well as the loud sound of doors opening and locking. Breakfast was great too!

We arrived on a very wet morning, were allowed to store our baggage for free. Very nice staff. The breakfast was great, and free coffee at any time of the day. The beds were perfect, the only problem was a very small shower, but then this is all over Europe. Great view out of the window. For what we paid it was amazing. Would definitely come back.

Everything was perfect. The location was as it looked in the website. We were very pleased to be by the canal! The ladies at the front desk were very helpful in giving us tips and maps on where to eat, how to get the fairy and the train. They were amazing in how helpful they were. Very pleasant personalities. I would stay there again!

I stayed at the Foresteria back in April 2024, during the Preview days of the Venice Biennale. I reserved the room just days before going there, so it was a last minute reservation and I was delighted to find a room with private bathroom here for as little as 277 euros for three nights. It was incredible as that is just impossible to find in central Venice, just a short walk away from the biennale locations and San Marco. Impossible to find during normal less touristy times (if there are really any in Venice anymore…), let alone during the busy preview days of the biennale. Unfortunately this year for the preview of the biennale of architecture I was so surprised to see that the price I paid last year for three night had now become the price for one night only. Now I keep on going back to look at prices and periods of time and I am really disappointed to say that I no longer might be able to book a room there as it’s just become incredibly expensive. I just checked for he preview days of the 2026 biennale and it’s a whopping 800 for three nights. How come even the Valdese have caught up with the capitalist call of gold these days? It’s unfortunate because the location is great, the palazzo is old but it’s clean and you have to get used to getting out of the room to go to the bathroom. The breakfast is a bit simple but acceptable, for what the price used to be. Now… it’s not a price that can be justified at all. Especially by a place run by a religious group. It’s really disappointing.

Overall very good: well located, comfortable, quiet, excellent breakfast, interesting labyrinth of a building. Little suggestions: a mirror in the bedroom (since the bathroom serves 4 bedrooms it may reduce waiting time!), some oil on the door hinges, a light switch by the bed!

A good value place in the center of Venice. They are reliable and you can enjoy a good breakfast. The place can be a bit noisy and there is little place to put your clothes. Ideal for a few nights.

We had a great stay and found Foresteria Valdese to be quite comfortable and a wonderful location - we walked to many of the tourist locations and used the vaporettas. Only one issue that could be improved would be the strength of the wifi in our room. We would definitely recommend Foresteria Valdese
