How to Plan a "Twilight"-Themed Trip to Washington State | Condé Nast Traveler

"A perfect first stop for fans, this Highway 101 marker is the same one Bella passes in the opening of the first film, and it makes for a quick, must-snap Instagram photo—don’t forget your camera for all the photo ops." - Jamie Spain

We passed through Forks on our way back from La Push, Second beach to be exact, and stopped at the sign to take a quick picture. You can easily pull in from the road and park while you go take your pics.

So fun to finally come here after a lifelong Twilight fan! You can see everything in 2-3 hours that's how small it is (trust the book). I recommend driving through Forks to the Chamber of Commerce for your first stop, they give you a Twilight map, and it's where Bella's truck lives. I heard from a local they don't recommend coming in the summer because it is super packed. I guess people come when their kids are off school but the whole Twilight vibe screams fall to me, so of course I came in October. I love that the town accepted the Twilight fans and catered to that, it's also fun because it feels like the town is stuck in that 2007 era with all of the movie release decor everywhere which I loved.

Forks, Washington completely fulfilled my teenage Twilight obsession! The town is absolutely adorable, with tons of little Twilight themed signs, attractions, and souvenirs everywhere. Even though the movies weren’t filmed here, they’ve done an amazing job embracing the fandom.. with actual items from the films like character clothing, Charlie’s car, and more. It’s a fun, nostalgic stop for any Twilight fan.

A great, free place to capture a photo while you're in Forks. Just a heads up, the gravel pull-off lot for the sign could use some repairs—there are quite a few holes and dips that need attention.

Nostalgic for my middle school self that was obsessed with Twilight. *the movies weren't filmed in Forks, so don't expect much Twilight going on
