Excellent wine accompanied by delicious cheese/charcuterie. Lovely service from the staff who were very knowledgeable about local wine/cheese. Worth a visit for sure. Time it with walking back from a sunset view over Florence for a perfect evening. This lovely bottle of Sangiovese was €40 but there were plenty of cheaper and more expensive bottles available - also some by the glass. This spread cost a total of €125 (plus several bread and cracker portions not in shot) and comfortably fed 3 people. Good value for the quality.

Seems like a very touristy destination but I enjoyed my experience. I didn’t say much on my preferences because my brain was a bit fried from sun and walking so much. But they nailed exactly what I wanted, only knowing I wanted to pair with a medium body Italian red. Mix of both Italian and French cheeses for €13 and with a very generous serving IMO. Added on the peach spread and it was absolutely my favorite. Skip the bread, it was a bit meh. Drink more wine and maybe see if they can give you more fruit. 🍎

Formaggioteca Terroir is an absolute hidden gem in Florence. It’s close enough to the main tourist areas for convenience but tucked away just enough to feel like a local secret. What sets this place apart is their dedication to quality over quantity—every cheese and wine selection is carefully curated for an exceptional tasting experience. Our server, an outstanding sommelier, took the time to listen to our preferences and recommended the perfect bottle of wine to accompany our cheeses. We also entrusted her with selecting the cheeses, and she crafted a beautiful balance—some choices were within our comfort zone, while others expanded our palate in the best way. Each bite and sip felt intentional, showcasing the richness of Italian flavors and traditions. If you’re in Florence and appreciate fine cheese and wine, this spot is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!

Quaint wine and cheese bar. Owner featured on "Fixer to Fabulour - Italy". We had the wine from their farm. Waiter paired it with four cheeses and onion salsa - terrific experience!

2nd time was a charm. I can once in the past and was really disappointed with the service. Now 2 years later it was much better. We had a really great experience and had some amazing cheeses. Will be back!

Just wonderful! We had a selection of 3 cheeses - fresh, medium, and old, plus a few glasses of wine. The staff were super friendly and recommended great wines. They were able to understand our request for a mineralic wine and a fruity wine. The vibe is very relaxed and the bathroom is clean and spacious. We had a lovely break there and would gladly come back.
