Forrest General Store

This is a nice place to visit. The coffee is good, the food was okay but not a wide variety to choose from. The store in general has a nice vibe, but I can relate to other reviews in regards to the service (could be way better).

Nice selection of cabinet foods. Really yummy chicken sandwich and cookie. Coffee was decent. Only downer is they charged me $25 for the sandwich (yum but not gourmet/super filling), cookie and small coffee on a Saturday. That's more than $8 an item which is crazy. I guess they can do that when they're the only people open in Forrest.

Friendly staff suggested what to order. My toasted sandwich was delicious and the coffee was perfect. It was just what I needed after a fun session on the mountain bike 😁 Thank you team. You are doing a great job!

Best place to eat and have coffee in Forrest!! The cookies, the coffees the pies and sandwiches are to die for!! Can't wait to go back!!

The coffee is absolutely perfect (and comes with a little chocolate) and the cabinet of little desserts are also excellent. For sure worth a stop, or if you are lucky enough to stay in town a daily visit. We had a takeaway breakfast/light lunch which was also great. Service was too notch. No faults and couldn’t have asked for better.

Amazing coffee! They even have a variety of vegan plant milks. Downside is the only vegan they had was a brownie, which was delicious.

This store is a diamond in the rough. Stopped here yesterday morning travelling home from Apollo Bay. Anne (think it was the name) so helpful and served up a beautiful plate of sour dough toast with honey and coffee. The Red Gum salt purchased to accompany our steak last night was superb. Whoever rated this gem of a business 1 is on another planet. We shall be rtn later in the yr to enjoy this hospitality.

Forrest General Store never misses. Best cod and potato pies, top coffee and staff who are an absolute delight. Always a welcome pit stop.
