Forrest General Store

Nice selection of cabinet foods. Really yummy chicken sandwich and cookie. Coffee was decent. Only downer is they charged me $25 for the sandwich (yum but not gourmet/super filling), cookie and small coffee on a Saturday. That's more than $8 an item which is crazy. I guess they can do that when they're the only people open in Forrest.

This is a nice place to visit. The coffee is good, the food was okay but not a wide variety to choose from. The store in general has a nice vibe, but I can relate to other reviews in regards to the service (could be way better).

Friendly staff suggested what to order. My toasted sandwich was delicious and the coffee was perfect. It was just what I needed after a fun session on the mountain bike 😁 Thank you team. You are doing a great job!

Best place to eat and have coffee in Forrest!! The cookies, the coffees the pies and sandwiches are to die for!! Can't wait to go back!!

Forrest General Store never misses. Best cod and potato pies, top coffee and staff who are an absolute delight. Always a welcome pit stop.

Pulled up to grab a bag of chips and an iced coffee, my mistake.... Left with a very tasty home made sausage roll with home made chutney and a mint/chocolate slice. The store at Forrest is very understated. Thankyou to the pleasant staff and proprietor for providing an excellent reason to sit at the table and rest. I recommend everybody stop and check it out.

Very good coffee and they were most helpful with an out of the ordinary request - nothing indecent, just different. It’s what country hospitality should be!

The coffee is absolutely perfect (and comes with a little chocolate) and the cabinet of little desserts are also excellent. For sure worth a stop, or if you are lucky enough to stay in town a daily visit. We had a takeaway breakfast/light lunch which was also great. Service was too notch. No faults and couldn’t have asked for better.
