Forrest Hotel and Apartments

Fantastic location, within walking distance to parks and shops and the lake. A simple room but with everything you need. Comfortable bed, warm linen, fantastic shower. The Queen room had a toaster, kettle, microwave and bar fridge. Staff very efficient. I spent a wonderful 4 nights here in April and we’ll definitely choose this place again for our next visit. Also, the beautiful tree lined street was such a bonus!

The 2 bedroom apartment was lovely. Very clean and comfortable. The kitchen, bathroom looked new. The ceiling needs a refresh. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Opportunities for improvement would be to deep clean/freshen up reception, gardens and outside appearance.

I stayed at the Forrest Hotel for 6 nights. Everything at this hotel exceeded my expectation. My room was very clean and had all the required amenities. I also booked the Nottingham conference room, which was a superb venue overseen by the lovely lady Yvonne, who assisted in getting the room seating according to my requirement. Lastly, I cannot give enough credit and thanks to the wonderful staff at reception. These young ladies are the most helpful and sweet people one could hope to have at a reception area. Best experience ever. So glad I chose the Forrest Hotel, Canberra.

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment. It was well located, within walking distance to shops and restaurants in Manuka. ||The apartment was clean, spacious and well appointed, including a dishwasher, microwave and washing machine, and extra cutlery and crockery. The bathroom was a good size. The shower head was very strange and was not anything we’d seen before. ||We’d stay here again.

We will definitely book this place again. There were many Pros: Excellent location close to museum and Parliaments (old and new). Room is clean with fridge, kettle, hair dryer. If you request to have a kitchenette then you could have one without any additional cost but you need to make the request. Everything is provided including soap, utensils, sponge etc. Shampoo, conditioner are provided. Great value, worth your money. It is not noisy and you don’t hear your neighbour. Receptionist is open late and they are all very nice and helpful including the cleaning lady. The only con is: the mattress, it needs to be better. When partner is moving you feel it and it is not so restful sleeping on it. Conclusion: without hesitation we will book this accommodation again. Great value and benefits.

My wife and I are currently staying at the Forest Hotel Apartments in the Canberra suburb of Forest. We are here for five nights in a one bedroom apartment. It’s centrally located in Canberra to all major attractions.||Although the apartment block looks a little dated from the outside, we were surprised to find a very modern internal apartment. It appears it has been recently renovated inside. The apartment contains a fully equipped kitchen with a full size fridge, hot plates, oven, microwave, dishwasher and combination washing machine/dryer. The kitchen also has a small table wth four chairs. The adjoining carpeted lounge area has a comfortable couch and a large wall mounted TV. The bedroom has a large comfortable queen bed and also a large wall mounted TV. The bathroom has an open shower, toilet and wash basin.||Overall we were very happy with the quality of and amenities of the apartment. We agreed that this was one of the best apartments we have stayed in.||Cheers, Paul M

Rooms are small, basic and clean - hot showers are very good. Mattresses a bit tired and spongy but extra blankets and pillows. But as a 3 star it’s a good central location, welcoming staff, clean and secure.

Everything is as expected from a standard motel. The price is good and the location is convenient. I use a wheelchair and whilst some of the photos I’ve seen make it look like the showers are accessible and I explicitly requested a room that had a wheelchair accessible bathroom, our room had a very narrow shower entry. Yes, it is a very first world problem to have to start a day without having a shower, but it was a little disappointing nonetheless.
