Forsterbräu Meran

Forsterbräu Merano is a restaurant where the food comes faster than you realize you're hungry, and everything is so delicious that you want to write down the recipe in your personal "happiness" diary. The waiters behave like your old and slightly tired friends: they wink, give you a hint, and sometimes just shrug their shoulders with understanding, as if they know all your gastronomic weaknesses. The atmosphere is relaxed, cozy, with a slight touch of "we've been here a long time and we're glad to see you." The perfect place to eat deliciously without straining yourself or pretending to be a serious gourmet.

Stopped here for lunch during a stunning Harley ride through the region. Perfect, easy parking for my Ultra, outside. The authentic Italian food was incredible—the food was fresh and delicious. Combined with the excellent service and a cold local drink , it made for a perfect riding break. Highly recommend to any bikers visiting Merano!

Nestled in the heart of Merano on Corso Libertà, right across from the Kurhaus, Forsterbräu Meran is a local landmark and a favorite among tourists. Overall, the place is well-loved, especially for its lively ambiance and wide beer selection. The portions are generous, and it’s a great spot since they stay open late into the night. Price is good

Great food and atmosphere! The carbonara raviolo was delicious and rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The space is huge and lively, perfect for a relaxed lunch or dinner in Merano. Definitely worth a visit!

Second time here and still so good. The garden terrace is beautiful, the service is friendly and the food and beer are great.

Great location and atmosphere during the summer as you sit right on one of Merano main streets. We went for typical Tyrolean dishes and it was a good choice. Food was very good, but maybe not great - however you may expect this from a place which is a typical beer garden. Good selection of Forst beers which are produced in a village right next to Merano. Overall well worth it, good food, great experience

​It truly pains me to write this negative review because the restaurant itself is amazing and the food is absolutely delicious. However, the service we received was nothing short of horrible, completely ruining our experience. ​Our waiter, Andy, was incredibly rude and arrogant from the start. When we asked for the check, he told us he couldn’t do separate bills in a very aggressive and unpleasant manner. To make matters worse, he literally threw the take-out boxes at our table instead of handing them to us. ​The level of hostility was shocking. C'mon guys, Italians are known for their hospitality and being better than this! It is a shame that such a talented kitchen is represented by someone with such a poor attitude. Until the management addresses the service standards and Andy’s behavior, I cannot recommend dining here despite the great food.
