Fort Dew Guest House and Restaurant

I only went for a lunch here but the fried rice was delicious! Quite unexpectedly the best I had on my 4 week trip in Sri Lanka, with a great view and away from the crowds. Recommended!

Lovely stay and fantastic location within Galle fort. We loved sitting on the swinging chairs, having a beer and watching the locals play cricket opposite. Room clean and had everything you need, including a fridge and a hairdryer. Highly recommend, great value for money.

Nice, little quaint place. Simple & basic rooms which have a fridge & small safe. Clean & comfy bed with mosquito netting. Aircon works well. Nice balcony area where you can sit & watch the world go by. Easy 2 minute walk to the parapet to watch the sunset. Restaurant upstairs which was closed for renovations while we were there. Room can get a bit noisy as it is alongside the main vehicle route around the town. Nowhere to place your bags, they j7st have to lie on the floor. Price is average for the area. Breakfast not included. Wifi was good & steady. No reception area, just went to the restaurant on the roof.

Beautiful guest house in Galle Fort with a view of the sea and the historic fort walls. Located in a quiet part of Galle you can enjoy the rooftop bar for food or drinks or relax in a hammock on the balcony. Service was fantastic. Rooms are cute and great for a long night’s sleep. Maybe you‘ll catch a glimpse of the local peacocks or monkeys.

I went here to have a drink and some food and basically paid 1600 LKR for 1 fried potato. Not even in Europe, you'd pay this for a bowl of crisps. I asked for Nachos and got sliced thin potato. The only blessing is the place had a roof to keep the rain off

I spent 3 nights/days and i still i feel i do not want to leave. The location is perfect where you can easily roam around the City and the Galle Fort. The balcony is very relaxing and chill place. The staff are all friendly, accomodating and helpful. Amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner. Overall experience was amazing. Thank you.

Definitely the best place in Galle fort to have a proper cold beer while enjoying the gorgeous sunset. With ample seating, friendly staff and a wide range of food selection it’s an amazing little nook.

Great place staff very helpful sat at a great people watching spot rooms compact but all u need for a few days clean with nice balcony. Food available on the top floor ate there one night great vegetarian curry could not flat||All in all a great place at a good price give it a try u will not be disappointed
