Fort du Pradeau

A very old fort that I thought would be a bit underwhelming. I was wrong. It is a very good place to visit. We almost missed the underground bit!

Interesting place well renovated but I would have liked to have learned more about it's military history. The nature information is very detailed and I guess that's the main point of it.

The museum is surprisingly good! It’s not a huge exposition but it’s made with love for the nature and for the region. We spent 2 hours there reading the information, doing some interactive things and observing surroundings.

Lovely spot. Must do: take the ferry to Porquerolles Island.

I randomly arrived in this beautiful place and I discovered Le Fort du Pradeau. I found a lot of interesting things, especially in the immersive space. People treat the underwater environment with great respect. I highly recommend it if you happen to be in this area.

We arrived at this place and were kindly welcomed there by a staff member who could tell us anything. The fort contains an exhibition about the region, with all its vegetation and wildlife. In addition, you can also see the creation of the region in video. The video is audible in English, French and Italian. We were very positively surprised by our visit.

Every half hour ferry boat to the island of Porquerolles. Nice historic little settlement with all you need. There is even a small dock for visitors for free. Watch the depth and enjoy a little pitstop.

Place was closed. Maybe I’ll invade it some other time then. ;)
