It's beautiful place, full of history and it gets a very nice view in every direction. The only problem is that i think the ministry of culture in Haïti can do more with it!

Interesting place with some good history. Our unofficial tour guide was very knowledgeable of the history. Seems to be run by the community, and not well kept. A weed-smoking hideout for youth 🤫.

It's probably worth your visit, especially since there isn't that much you really want to see in Port-au-prince. Located at about 1300 meters, it's nice and cool up there and surrounded by pine trees. The fort itself is okay, and you really need to hire a guide to get the full history of the place.

This is a greatday-trip from the capitol on a hot day. The weather is pleasantly cool (I heard it can rain with no notice, but the day I went it was perfect). Tons of history here and gorgeous views. Bring a picnic or pick up food on the way. Beautiful pines create one of the most dense wooded ares you'll see in Haiti. Local boys make themselves available as guides for a couple of dollars.
