The 21 Best Beaches in Florida | Condé Nast Traveler

"I noticed that Fort Lauderdale Beach has largely shed its spring-break stereotype and now features uncluttered stretches of sand, sparkling blue waters, upscale resorts, and mega-yachts, with historic local character retained in spots like the c.1938 dive bar the Elbo Room." - Paul Rubio

There are so many beach options here. It depends on what type you like. The beach is always so white and clean A must-see place to watch the sunrise and sunset Occasionally, rainbows appear Many pigeons and birds are walking freely on the beach A great place to relax and sunbathe The sea water here is always warm. It is not cold. This is the best

Google
A huge beach with convenient parking. A wide area with lifeguards on duty, everything is well organized and safe. A very good beach, comfortable for relaxing

Glenn G.

Google
Parking is $4 per hour, and you’ll need to cross the street to reach the beach and nearby restaurants. The beach itself is decent but had quite a bit of seaweed during my visit. 🏝️ ☀️

Khoi N.

Google
Sand and waves were perfect. Did notice some strong currents so swim at your own risk. You can rent tables and umbrellas at a fair rate. There’s paid parking across the street and some restaurants within walking distance. The sand and beach overall were clean. Great place to bring the kids

Been visiting with Friends/Family for over 20 years now... Aside from a well kept, well run beach by the city of Fort Lauderdale, this is a rather nice area to workout beachside. The Beach Blvd strip is full of life in the early AM right around sunrise & thereafter. A mixture of locals & tourists are there watching the sunrise & plenty runners show up very soon after sunrise. There's also a Muscle Beach type area with plenty of bars & built in equipment for exercise with a full blown basketball court beside it. Plenty of parking as well & very reasonably priced as well. Restrooms nearby, large. Farmer's Market on weekends, plenty of events year-round, well monitored by Fort Lauderdale Police, & very diverse crowd.

What a beach, minutes from my hotel, was clean, sand was great. Lots to see. Water was beyond amazing and much warmer than I expected. Really nice people around as well.

This we everything I needed! The Beach was amazing, safe and not crowded. Lively experience going on the strip behind us added to the fun atmosphere along with the picturesque palm trees!

Google
I was on the beach yesterday, my son played in the sand I put my foot in the sand , when leaving and showering off , i notice oil spots on me & my son feet. Be careful ….. there’s an oil leak somewhere so now is not the time to beach bomb. Any other time it’s amazingly wonderful. Warm clean water , very nice residents in the area , and all around great people & good times .

Yelp
Ft Lauderdale beach was very nice....it was a lil over cast so it wasn't crowded but was nice clean......if you arent staying at one of the hotels on the beach you will have to pay by the hour for parking somewhere near the beach....between $4-$5 and hour.....it was worth it.....

Yelp
Fort Lauderdale beach Fort Lauderdale beach, famous for spring break has so much more to offer. It's a beautiful beach, with miles of white sand and a perfect view of the Ocean. There's only paid parking. You can pay by the hour or by the day. Most lots are $25 for the day and if you can find street parking you can pay on the app and it's $4.27 an hour. Across the street on A1A there are shops, restaurants, and outdoor activities to enjoy. The sunsets are gorgeous, with views and colors that take your breath away. The beach is clean and well-maintained, making it perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sun and swimming in the ocean. Whether you're looking to unwind, have fun, or just take in the views, this beach has a little something for everyone.

Yelp
Fort Lauderdale Beach has its perks--nice views, plenty of restaurants and bars nearby--but it's definitely not for everyone. Parking is a nightmare unless you get really lucky or are willing to pay a premium in one of the garages. Even then, it fills up fast, especially on weekends. It's crowded almost all the time. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing beach day, this probably isn't it. Finding a good spot can feel like a competition, and there's not much shade, so you'll need to bring your own umbrella or be ready to bake in the sun. Not a bad place for people-watching or grabbing a drink by the water, but if you're hoping for a peaceful beach day with easy access and space to breathe, I'd look elsewhere.

Yelp
Spent a few hours this morning on the Ft Laud beach and it was a beautiful ocean view just post sunrise. Thunder clouds were coming in from the west. The hotels just set out all their beach chairs and the Conrad hut was ready to serve liquor drinks. Lots of elite hotels and restaurants along the Ft Laud boardwalks. No lifeguards yet on the sand.
google avatar

Steve B.

Yelp
It was raining and gray outside. The waves were rough. Beach break The Lifeguard I spoke with was cool. Told me I was safe to swim, but might get dragged down from where I was. I don't know much about Fla or the Atlantic. The waves are rolling, choppy, and there's potential for rip tides. Have fun & be aware.

Yelp
ICONIC FT LAUD BEACH... Hands down the best beach in the tri-county area. Fort Lauderdale Beach consists of a stretch of brown sand at 24 miles long, far larger than Miami's internationally known South Beach at a tiny 2 miles long. The FT LAUD beach hosts the long time legendary "STRIP". In 1985, the Ft Laud Mayor made it clear that spring breakers from colleges around the nation were not welcomed any longer, after too many crazy parties, and passed a ban prohibiting overnight parking and open alcohol consumption (I remember this day, and it sucked) BUT, if the hotels modernize their crumbling properties, in exchange they were allowed to have outside patio bars and restaurant seating. Today, the Fort Lauderdale Strip is booming again, almost too busy. The parking situation is horrible and stressful. Recommend to find space in the parking garage first thing in the morning, if not, good luck and the hunt begins. There are several open pay parking lot near the Elbo Room - center strip, but be prepared to be sticker shock by the cost for the day. A plethora of decent hotels on Ft Lauderdale Beach. The W Hotel is one of the nicer hotels with a great lounge and good customer service at their private pool. The Beach Place venue is center stage for fun activities. This two story building has a hotel and several commercial restaurants and bars including the long standing Hooters and the Taco Bell Cantina which both sell food and alcohol. They have several trinket and sugary treat vendors on the first floor. Basically, any spot in the sand that you take refuge on the beach you will have a beautiful view of the blue ocean while cruise ships, speed boats and yachts pass by with a few para gliders and plenty of swimmers. Just wish there were less jelly fish.

Yelp
Fort Lauderdale beaches are very well maintained. There are showers every few blocks. It is nice to wash off the sand off before getting into your car. The area has good life guard presence and I always feel safe. Just watch for those occasional under currents though. The beaches are not rocky which makes it really comfortable to swim close to the shore. Once in a while you do see seaweed. I saw a small shark once swim right along the beach.

Yelp
Can't give enough kudos about this beach. It is one of the nicest on the east coast, has a beautiful walkway, and is adjacent to one of the most charming Main Streets in America, Las Olas. I'm certain, that Fort Lauderdale Beach doesn't need my 5 star review, but I hope you get to experience this incredible oceanfront beauty.

Yelp
Fort Lauderdale beach is a beautiful place to enjoy the ocean and has a lot to offer. You can park very close to the beach and I would recommend paying with your phone using the website that is posted on signs around the parking lot. This way, if you decide you want more time, you can just get on the website and easily extend your time. The parking was very daily priced (around $13 for 3 hours). They have an attendant patrolling the parking lot and writing tickets if your time expires, so keep an eye on your time. There was a bit of trash on the beach that we picked up and ample places to discard trash and recyclables. There were quite a few ships within view while we were there. The water seemed pretty clean and there was a bit of seaweed. There was a pretty decent restroom and rinse stations in the middle of the parking lot near the lifeguard station. Would highly recommend this beach for a family looking to get away from the large crowds at the Miami beaches.

Yelp
Fort Lauderdale beach is such an amazing place. Being new to Florida, this is still one of the nicest cleanest beaches I have seen. Parking. Can be difficult sometimes to find but possible. My recommendation is use the circuit or don't drive to reduce traffic . It goes all the way down the A1A so there's lots of bars and restaurants/stores to check out. Even during busy season I can always find peace on this beach and enjoy my time here .

Yelp
World's best beach, in my opinion Fort Lauderdale Beach has to be one of the best beaches in South Florida, and it's hands down my favorite. Every time I visit, it feels like a mini vacation, even if it's just for a few hours. The beach itself is incredibly clean and well-maintained, with soft sand that's perfect for lounging or a morning walk. The water is crystal-clear and warm most of the year, which makes it ideal for swimming, paddleboarding, or just relaxing in the shallows. What really sets Fort Lauderdale Beach apart for me is the vibe. It's lively without feeling overcrowded, and there's always a mix of locals and visitors enjoying the same beautiful setting. The promenade along the beach is perfect for grabbing a coffee or smoothie, renting bikes, or just people-watching. Plus, the variety of restaurants and bars nearby means you can always find something good to eat or drink after a long day in the sun. Whether you're looking for a peaceful spot to unwind or a more energetic scene, Fort Lauderdale Beach somehow manages to offer both. It's my go-to beach and the kind of place that reminds you why living in (or visiting) Florida is so special.

Yelp
During the month of June (2024), my young daughters and I visited Florida for the first time ever. Fort Lauderdale Beach was great! The girls and I were used to the chilly waters in Southern California... the Atlantic Ocean near Fort Lauderdale is so much warmer and minus the big waves. The beach was clean. The people were all very friendly. Such great memories, thank you Florida.
google avatar

Grace F.

Yelp
Plenty of restaurants to grab food between relaxing and enjoying the sun at the beach. I recommend rideshare as opposed to dealing with parking.
google avatar

Jennifer D.

Yelp
The beach is beautiful and clean. The north end is my preference over the busier side with restaurants and lots of foot traffic. There is not a boardwalk, so if you're looking forots of shops and restaurants ho to Hollywood beach. The sand is soft and clean.
google avatar

Zo M.

Yelp
Some of the best beaches seen with clear as glass oceans in the morning. Quiet tranquil mornings with a yoga class starting in the am on the beach. The beach does tend to get more crowded as the day goes on. However, if you don't mind waking up early , it is worth the few moments of lost sleep for the beautiful beach sunrises.

Yelp
Great Beach! Beach access was very easy. There is paid parking across the street. I was able to park and walk over within 5 minutes. The water was very warm and the beach itself was super clean. I literally didn't see any trash anywhere. There was a lifeguard on duty and he was actively looking out of his station with binoculars which was very reassuring. It was not overcrowded at all. There was a comfortable amount of people on the beach, which allowed for lots of privacy. If I had to add anything to this beach, I would add a shower sprayer area to get sand off our feet. Other than that, it was a great experience. I would definitely visit again on my next trip to Fort Lauderdale. Recommended!
google avatar

Tyler L.

Yelp
I was a big fan of this beach when I was on vacation in Fort Lauderdale. It's a lot different from Miami's South Beach. It was not crowded at all, and it was much cleaner and quieter. If you are looking for a clam place to relax, this is it. There are plenty of benches to sit in the shade too. On the other hand, this beach is not for everyone. South Beach is surrounded by lots of restaurants, bars and clubs. This is not that kind of place and may feel boring to some who want a nightlife.
google avatar

Jasmine C.

Yelp
Whether it's my morning sunrise walks or a beach day, there's nothing not to love about Fort Lauderdale beach. It's well maintained, and the sidewalks are always being cleaned. This beach is gorgeous and the sunrise views are absolutely breathtaking! The different colors in the sky in the morning are something to see.
google avatar

Julie Ying X.

Yelp
Fort Lauderdale Beach is probably still my favorite beach in Florida. I had the smart idea to come to Florida when it's spring break for all the kids. I had no idea honestly haha. It's not as crowded as most beaches (Miami and South Beach are the worst) so it's easy to park your car and find a spot on the beach to set up. There's lifeguards but no bathrooms. There's still showers near every entrance. The beach is always clean. I also like how the sand is easy to walk on and there's no seashells really. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Teresa S.

Yelp
I'm giving this beach a 5, even though I didn't step in the water, lol. I stopped by to check out the scenery and loved the vibes. I did walk through the sand that was clean and soft. The entire scenery was very picturesque. There were tons of people out in the area. There's a strip of stores and restaurants you can check out. I saw a small park area for children to play and an area to get your physical fitness on right outside. There were tons of picnic tables and benches to enjoy family outings. There's plenty of places to pay for parking in the surrounding area. Returning to this beach is definitely on my to-do list to chill out in the sun and enjoy some waves for the entire day.

Yelp
Fort Lauderdale beach is great if you want to be in the midst of the action. I was here yesterday and it brought back memories. I first came here for spring break. The beach was very clean and there were plenty of rentals. Right across A1A, there are tons of options for dining, shopping, and hotels. I could see that the tourists are starting to arrive. Yesterday, I took a nice walk. I'm planning to come back soon. The water was beautiful, not too cold nor too warm. I enjoyed walking along the edge of the water. The showers were busy and people were blocking the entrance. Thankfully I had my boat shoes on so I passed the crowd and climbed over the 3 ft. wall.
google avatar

Sama C.

Yelp
I like when I can just walk up to the beach and park my buns anywhere. Best part is staying at a hotel that gives me free lounge chairs. What more can I ask for?! The umbrella's are extra, but I'm here to burn away my sins from the night before lol! One thing I did not like was the seaweed... tons of it. No bueno!
google avatar

Ariella W.

Yelp
Wow! the water was so clear and lovely! The sand was also soft and really nice! Did not see any trash on the beach which has happened on other beaches i have been to. Not a lot of people out for a warm SAturday morning. We did not see any Jellyfish and the water was so warm! Would definitely come back to visit this beach if in the area again!
google avatar

Shanina S.

Yelp
Fort Lauderdale Beach is a very beautiful beach with clear blue water and has a great atmosphere. There are a variety of restaurants all down the strip where you can have a nice breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I love that you can leave the beach and never get bored being on the strip. I actually came here twice on my vacation since it was only a ten minute walk from my hotel. I literally walked the whole strip and beach area and there were so many things to see. It's definitely a must see if you're in the Fort Lauderdale area.
google avatar

Sara L.

Yelp
This beach was beautiful and very well kept. Very clean all through the area. There are chair and umbrella rental provided by vendors and also areas where you can bring your own chair or umbrella. They also have free showers and foot washes. We loved our time at this beach.

Yelp
I guess it's hard to really say where Fort Lauderdale beach starts and ends....but for most people is the area located just over a mile (plus or minus) from Las Olas Boulevard. I usually find the area between the Sebastian and Las Olas to be the heart of it all..... The Fort Lauderdale Beachfront Promenade skirts the coast and features a series of hotels, bars, restaurants and shops. You can spend lots of money by staying at places like the Ritz-Carlton or choose a small boutique motel right by A1A and spend much much less....Same with restaurants, the area is known to attract tourists, so loud music and drink specials are found pretty much everywhere, but especially between the Elbo room bar and Lulu's Bait Shack....Happy hour specials lure tourists and locals to their establishments and some of the drinks offered are mega size...just for the fun of it.... While wining and dining are the highlights here, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the water, but some of the favorites are swimming, paddleboarding or just taking a yacht tour. Many people just love sunbathing and/or people watching....which are fine as well. Parking is paid, pretty much everywhere, with street meters along the area behind many of the hotels...no parking on A1A.
google avatar

Bliss D.

Yelp
I've been coming to this beach for over 10 years now. I love that I don't have to walk so long to get to the beach, and that I can just park and the beach is right there. The ocean is beautiful, sand is soft, and it's pretty quiet if you go further away from the restaurants and go closer to where the hotels and resorts are. There's life guards, and there are paddle board rentals further down. You can always get a spot right in front of the water and don't have to be behind anyone. 10/10!
google avatar

Natalie S.

Yelp
On Friday nights there are free concerts at the beach park that was created in the last year on Las Olas Blvd and A1A. There are awesome food vendors set up so you can eat while enjoying the concert. This past Friday night I saw a gluten-free pizza vendor. There are bathroom facilities which is a first for Fort Lauderdale Beach since I've lived here. There are two public parking lots next to the park.
google avatar

Lyndsey R.

Yelp
I actually love this beach! It wasn't crazy busy but I did go on a Monday before noon. I was able to find plenty parking. Wanted to find an area that had public bathrooms and a shower to rinse off after. The beach wasn't too far to walk to either. This was the first beach I've seen manyyyyy turtle nests. You don't actually see the nests themselves because they are covered with sand. But there are usually wooden poles/sticks with ribbon or something around the nests to indicate they're there! I also loved how when we went, there wasn't a lot of seaweed! I have lived in Florida all my life and there's always seaweed everywhere. This was a shock to not see a lot! There were life guards in the specific spot we were at! There were areas under the trees for picnic tables. The water was very clear! The sand was interesting. I'm used to the west coast of Florida where a lot of the sand is super white and soft. The sand here wasn't the worst but it felt like quick sand almost lol so as you're standing in the water, you tend to sink, a lot. Not a problem but it was interesting. Overall, I loved how convenient this beach is! I will definitely come back!!
google avatar

Sara M.

Yelp
This beach was beyond beautiful and clean!! Had to soak my toes in the warm ocean before heading into work. There was plenty of parking and the beach was clean and quiet. You could see all of the cruise ships at the ports which was neat to see. I wish I could've had more time but definitely going to make a trip back out for a vacation!
google avatar

Monica G.

Yelp
Nothing but good things to say about this beach. Compared to Miami, i prefer it and it is usually less crowded. There are hotels and places to eat walking distance depending what part of fort lauderdale you are in. There a few public lots so I usually park on the meters right next to the beach. You have to know when to go to avoid parking issues. Love the area around Park and Ocean.

Laddle C.

Yelp
No rest rooms and no free parking. We will be going back to Daytona Beach in the future. Everything down here is way overpriced.
google avatar

Candy C.

Yelp
Always beautiful here. We came for a family stay cation during winter. The end of the beach by Hugh Birch Taylor state park is not as crowded due it near the end of the strip. The beach is very family friendly. Not too much loud groups, or nudity. Clear water, soft waves. Always a nice time at Fort Lauderdale beach.
google avatar

Clarissa K.

Yelp
5-30-22 This beach has really had a transformation in the past 40 years I have been coming here. We were first introduced while in college spring break you could park on A1A I don't recall paying to park. Than I would go to the Button which was located across the street from the ocean. In fact years later I came here with my sorority sister before her wedding as this is where the boys were literally! Present day they got rid of Spring Breakers years ago as it got out of hand. Now no parking on A1A and all the hotels are upscale there is still Momand Pop's smaller places but very well maintained. The beach is pristine Ft. Lauderdale definitely had a vision and it never looked so good. Come here for beautiful restaurants and ocean breezes. Definitely feel a lot safer than South of here.
google avatar

Jacob D.

Yelp
Beautifully clean beach that sneaks right up on you on the A1A. Tide is high as I'm not used to that at So Cal beaches.
google avatar

Emely R.

Yelp
First time in Fort Lauderdale and this is definitely wayyyy better than Miami Beach! The vibe is pretty good. There are lots of restaurants along the side the beach as well as small mom and pop shops. This beach has a younger vibe to it but still great for anyone! Family, friends, and even couples. Parking is $10-25 depending where you park. There is a $10 parking for 3 hours in the Marriott hotel garage. The beach is cleaned daily and looks well kept. Cannot wait to return soon (;

Yelp
The beach is the crowning jewel of the city of Ft. Lauderdale. Made famous in the 1960 film Where the Boys Are, the area garnered the nick name Ft.Liquordale as it became a spring break destination for college students in the 1970's and 1980's. In the 2000's the visitors to the beach have changed from rowdy drunk college students to families and vacationers from Europe. I used to come down here a lot when I was a college student but my visits waned through the years as work and family commitments took priority over lazy days lounging at the beach. After making my hurricane preparations my daughter and I drove down here on Saturday night to see the outer bands of Irma start blowing in. The police were everywhere but didn't interfere with all of the people who had the same idea I did gathering on the beach. We took a few pictures across from the Elbo Room and enjoyed their playlist of storm songs like Rock You Like a Hurricane. I noticed that Ft. Lauderdale put up a lot of cute props for visitors to take pictures with. There was an oversize beach chair and the frame of a postcard that says wish you were here that you can put your head in for a picture. That one was especially fun with the trees whipping in the background. In December the city puts a giant sculpture of a snowman family that looks like it is made of sand at the end of Los Olas Blvd. That is always fun to take pictures with and you can send them to your family freezing in the north. After taking a few pictures of the trees blowing and the ocean crashing in we headed home long before the 4 pm curfew. My visit to the beach reminded me how much I missed this area of Ft. Lauderdale. Although the beach of my youth is gone, anyone remember The Candy Store? sleazy clubs frequented by spring breakers have been replaced by upscale hotels, souvenir shops, and restaurants. Parking along the beach has been replaced with a wide promenade perfect for strolling and a sea wall that still allows you a good view of the ocean as your drive along A1A. As much as things change some never do and we at least we still have the Elbo Room opened in 1938. Parking is plenty with a lot fronting A1A and one a couple blocks back on the intracoastal. There is something iconic about parking your beach blanket across from the Elbo room and digging your toes in the sand. If your a local the hustle and bustle of every day life can make it is easy to take the beach for granted but all it takes is a visit to remind you how lucky we are to live where everyone else wants to vacation.
google avatar

Kathy K.

Yelp
This spectacular famous beach is known worldwide. Made famous from beach movies in the 1960's and as a spring break destination. I love taking a walk on the sand and the shore waves of the Atlantic Ocean. The ships, boats and people watching make it enjoyable. The serene beauty of the view makes it a relaxing time. With a wide variety of upscale hotels, many restaurants and bars, and some shopping, the choices are vast.

Yelp
Fort Lauderdale has really transformed itself over the years. I used to hang out with my crew back in the late 90's when it was called The Strip. Do they still call it that? Haha I love the variety of restaurants and types of food you can find here. There is definitely something for everyone. All price points can be found as well. The ocean water seems to be cleaner here compared to other beaches in the area. You can have such a nice and relaxing day at the beach, pizza, beer, ice cream and swimming are my preferences. Lately though, there has been a lot of construction going on so definitely be careful driving. I like how this area is so walkable. I would definitely say to stop by for a drink at The Elbo Room. It has been there forever! Lots to do and see on Fort Lauderdale Beach. No boring moments here!
google avatar

Michael T.

Yelp
How do you rate a public beach? I think you've gotta start with cleanliness and ease of access. Ft. lauderdale beach has that in spades if you pick the area right or the time of year. Just off the main drag there are lots of small pay lots. None of them are too bad either, especially if you're staying the whole day. A block or two and you're on the sand! The beach itself is clean, and the people are nice, which makes for a pleasant experience all around. The only reason for four stars is that I wish the businesses surrounding the beach offered a bit more and were less touristy. I know that's the major audience here, but locals would love to come visit if there was more reason. I find this up off Commercial in the area surrounding the pier or south in Hollywood. Either way, there's plenty to see and do here, just expect to find your meals and shopping elsewhere or pay a little more!

Yelp
My partner and I had a great long weekend back in February biking, walking, running, and sinking our toes along the sand of this awesome beach! We were staying one block in from the beach (I highly recommend this!) and had the opportunity to walk up and down the strip and access the beach at a number of different points. This is a spot where you can come and saddle up on a beautiful day for a long, long time. We didn't have the best weather for that when we were visiting, but we still found some time to put our toes in and catch some sunshine. It is not crazy busy and there is plenty of miles to fine a space to stretch out. Parking, as other reviewers mention, is super easy to find if you're willing to walk a block or two! A1A has everything you could possibly need while enjoying your beach stay, and there are all kinds of water activities available for rent at different points throughout the beach. TOO much fun and I am looking forward to the next time I can get to this little haven!

Yelp
Beautiful blue and clean beach. My little brother and I had a blast soaking in the ocean. He kept on saying how clear the water is and the sand is soft. The hardest part is finding parking. Tip - keep in mind of other events going on in this area, even during the day on a Friday. Traffic can take awhile once you cross the bridge and parking cost increase for event parking ranging from $20-$80.

Yelp
Fort Lauderdale Beach, you were absolutely incredible. I was staying right on Las Olas Blvd so the beach was right there and I was able to see it every day. Words cannot express how much I adored seeing this beach every day. I have grown up in the mountains but I am an avid beach lover, surfer girl at heart. They have an awesome volleyball area and lots of seating around. In addition to this, they have a massive parking lot and sometimes have food trucks and vendors in that parking lot. Compared to other beaches, I must say, this beach has a lot of sticks and debris on the sand and by the shore. I am not a scientist so I don't know what the reason is for this or why they may not scoop it up but it was not very pleasant to walk on. One cool thing about Fort Lauderdale Beach that I haven't noticed at the other beaches I have been to is their sections that they reserve for the sea turtles. I appreciate them doing good things for animals and not letting our human species ruin things for them. I do wish I could've seen some of the baby sea turtles though. My last day on Fort Lauderdale Beach, it was insanely windy. I learned that sand hurts a lot more than you would think when it is hitting you at really high speeds; you can feel every single grain. The wind also makes a bit of an eerie noise; it's actually quite terrifying. Other than that, I loved the trip and it was super awesome to get to see the sun rise/set while I was there. Not that it is super beach related, but I also love all the things to do/see/eat right next to this beach. Las Olas Boulevard is absolutely incredible!

Yelp
Ft. Lauderdale beach is always going to be a tourist beach. So many things to do here from eating down to the activities. But around 6 am is when it's most peaceful and you can really appreciate its beauty. At that time it's very few people and the streets are quiet. The beach is kept clean and the views are endless.

Yelp
Fort lauderdale beach, spans for miles. It is less touristy and busy comparing it to Miami Beach. Today when I came - there was no-one on the beach - so that's a win win, if you want peace and quiet. You can also drive adjacent to the beach and park on the street and have a nice constant view of the sea.

Yelp
Great Beach. I am in South Florida local and I have literally been to every beach you can think of. This is one of the best. Beautiful view, clean surroundings and cool bar & Restaurant right on the beach. Polly Stottlemire West Palm Beach, FL

Yelp
I love running on Ft. Lauderdale Beach. There is ample parking in parking lots and side streets where you can use the Pay By Phone app at great rates per hour. It is always clean. I always see garbage trucks go by in the morning to clean all the trash bins and receptacles and workers cleaning off the sand on the sidewalks. They have also updated their bathroom facilities on the park by the south side. There is always something to do here. Always check the city's Calendar of Events because sometimes it can be hard to park or have easy access to the beach. They will close streets and lots as well. Parking can get pretty pricey at $30 flat rate. The restaurant scene is great with hole in the wall restaurants and bars to upscale dining at hotels. They have a great night scene as well with live music at some venues. I hope you visit!

Yelp
I really enjoy this beach and the exterior of the surroundings. It's a great upgrade to Miami Beach... It's not only spacious, has better urban planning designs and accessible to those who are specialty able, dog friendly etc... it's pretty and well maintained. A great spot to hang out at, jog, walk and even cycle by! Great job city of Ft L! I really dig this beach.
