Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is well-organized and easy to navigate. The layout is intuitive, making it simple to find gates, baggage claim, and amenities without feeling overwhelmed. One standout feature is the cleanliness—janitorial staff are constantly maintaining the facilities, including the restrooms, which is a refreshing change compared to some other airports (such as San Antonio).
The air conditioning is consistently on, providing a comfortable environment, though depending on where you're sitting, you might feel a strong draft from multiple directions. There are plenty of food options, from quick grab-and-go spots to sit-down restaurants, catering to different tastes and preferences. A fun bonus is the Lego store, which is great for travelers with kids or those looking for a unique airport shopping experience.
Stores throughout the airport are well-stocked, and most staff members I interacted with were friendly and willing to help. Signage is conveniently located, making it easy to find your way around without getting lost. Additionally, there are plenty of seating areas where you can relax, grab a bite to eat, or enjoy an adult beverage while waiting for your flight.
Overall, Fort Lauderdale Airport is a great place to fly from or have a layover. The combination of cleanliness, solid food and shopping options, and ease of navigation makes it a pleasant experience.
