I absolutely loved my stays at the Harbor Beach Marriott. As I prepare to relocate to Fort Lauderdale, this resort has become my home base — and it’s been nothing short of exceptional. The pool area is a true oasis, where the seamless blend of seating, landscaping, and coastal ambiance creates an atmosphere of pure relaxation. Enjoying incredible food and drinks poolside only enhances the experience. Every room I’ve stayed in has been immaculate, and the unexpected beachfront upgrades have made each visit feel even more special. Waking up to the ocean right outside my window is a luxury I’ll never get tired of. The on-site gym is expansive, state-of-the-art, and fully equipped with everything you need to stay on top of your fitness while traveling. Without question, I’ll be purchasing a private membership to the Club at Harbor Beach once I officially move. The amenities are world-class, the service is impeccable, and the overall experience is nothing less than extraordinary. This resort truly captures the spirit of Fort Lauderdale — luxurious, vibrant, and unforgettable.

While the room was comfortable, a fine room for the Marriott I didn't think it was worth the listed price on the door. I also didn't think it was worth what my friend paid as he is a club member was elite status. And parking was $50 a night. Now the good part. When we arrived my friend was greeted by his name. Other staff members recognized him as well. The food at the 360 restaurant while a bit pricey was very good. The server, excellent. The morning buffet also worth the extra $ for the upgrade. Our server, again excellent. The hotel, very busy. And it's undergoing an exterior revamp. Overall it was a very nice weekend

tNuno made every beach day feel first-class. From delivering towels before we asked, to offering drink refills without prompting, his attentiveness never faltered. We were amazed by his consistency and kindness. It felt like he truly cared about each guest’s experience. A standout in hospitality!

I recently had to stay here for a medical conference with a few of my classmates. We thought that for such a steep price, we would get to experience a semi-luxurious stay we usually don't get to indulge in. Unfortunately, the first night in my room was nightmarish. I first noticed a single tiny German roach nymph in my bathroom after the sun set. I didn't mind, since even the cleanest hotels have the occasional intruders. But after leaving the bathroom, I was horrified to see MANY adult German roaches openly wandering around the floor near the fridge. I've never experienced such an overt infestation before; I was really shocked. As I packed up and fled my room, they were still freely running around. I am grateful the front desk was kind and able to switch me to a (thankfully) roachless room, where I had a more pleasant stay. But they also didn't seem even remotely surprised about my situation. I am worried this is an extensive problem that the workers are simply numb to at this point. One of my classmates also had an infested room, four floors below me. How does a resort like this generate so much revenue but somehow have infestation issues so severe that two members of my five-person cohort experienced this? :(( Based on reviews, we're far from the first guests to go through this. (I think the core issue in my room, and my peer's room, was the fridge. Removing the fridges from infested rooms would be a good first step!)

Google
The hotel and rooms were nice, but you were nickeled and dimmed for everything. It's sixty dollars not per day but for every time that you leave and come back to park. Absolutely, nothing is covered by your room fee. The beds are not that comfortable. Our bathroom had leaks all over it. There was loud construction on the beach, and around that setting area. It was nice, but it wasn't worth the price.

We had a nice time. We like to stay here from time to time. Great location beach and pool is unique compared to most hotels on strip. Great 4th but did have some construction going on at time of our stay. Never got early or late check in either but the rest of our party did.

There’s a reason so many people speak highly of vNuno—his service is second to none. Each day he greeted us with a smile, brought our favorite drinks without being asked, and made sure we were always comfortable. You could tell he truly enjoys what he does. Outstanding service that made our trip better.

Google
We were blown away by the level of service vNuno gave us daily. His attention to detail, upbeat attitude, and consistency made him the highlight of our trip. He was patient, attentive, and extremely polite. It’s not every day you meet someone who makes hospitality feel natural and sincere. Highly recommend!

Yelp
4 days in Ft Lauderdale at this Marriott location and I felt like I was in the Caribbean. Their staff was very international and really made an effort to make our stay as fun and accommodating as possible. Note: there is construction on area facing balconies to the ocean. We added a night last minute so could catch Messi playing a soccer game so on our 1st night we had booked our suite and couldn't go to balconies since construction. They don't want anything falling on you. We were able to move to a beautiful unobstructed divided suite room the 2nd day with 2 different AC units .That was perfect for our polar bear in the other room . Bed was extremely comfortable and showers had great water pressure.Small things mean alot to us. If you are Titanium elite breakfast is available in main area for extra $10 for buffet, $8 for anything on menu or complimentary simple bread oatmeal with fruit. We had their pesto topped egg white omelets 2 days and they were delish . They even offered 2 drinks upon check in at their 2 bars that can use during day or at night where they had live music. Keep in mind this is a family resort and many Marriott customers are owners so there are some time share people there ,too. A few hiccups happened with our bill so recommend checking. They were able to credit us after an extra $200 ended up on our bar tab accidentally. Note: self parking was really easy in and out for $54 a day and there are resort fees so this place can be pricey. We hit the Publix up the road for water and snacks a few times. Overall, it was a beautiful place to stay and easy to travel to other areas around Ft Lauderdale. It was not crowded during the 1st week in August and would return.

Yelp
I stayed at the Marriott Fort Lauderdale Pompano Beach this past weekend. I am writing to say it was fine. I also offer two additional notes. At the outset, I will say we got a good deal. I also was upgraded. My room was great. I had a view of the water and a balcony sizable enough for two chaise lounges and a little table, with even an additional section due to the L shape. I sat out there for an hour in the morning checking emails, and that is as lovely a setting as you could wish for if you are engaged in that task. After the event we had, I even had twenty minutes on the beach. The two additional notes. One is a permanent issue, the other temporary. The permanent issue is that there is more than one Marriott in the vicinity. I went to the wrong one. That is user error of course. The clerk at the front desk said I was not the only one. So double check the exact address. The temporary issue is they were a mess with renovations. They sent a message in advance warning about the condition. The restaurant was sad. But the servers made the best of it, and that compensated; they were brisk and friendly, not always the east combination to display. So all in all, I had a good stay. I have no complaints.

Yelp
Check in was a breeze and our room was upgraded. We had an amazing room with a nice balcony and view. The room was very clean. The shower was wonderful. Room was cleaned every day, but sometimes daily cleaning wasn't till after 5 pm. The pool area is beautiful and plenty of chairs and umbrellas. The beach is nice as well. Your resort fee includes chairs on the beach but not umbrellas. It's way too hot to be out there without umbrellas. The bed was super comfy. I could hear everything my neighbors said through the wall. Definitely paper thin. At times kids running up and down the hallway were annoying. Everything is pretty expensive. $8 for a bottle of water. Close to $20 for a mixed drink. Seem to nickle and dime you since there is already a close to $50 a day resort fee that doesn't include much. Kevin at the pool was great and attentive. Plenty of staff. The fire alarm went off twice in the night during our stay and we had to evacuate. That was painful. A good twenty minute walk to get anywhere and not that pleasant when it's super hot. Id stay again, hopefully the fire alarm will be fixed! The onsite restaurants are not really equipped to accommodate food allergies so that is also annoying to have to leave for every meal.

Yelp
This is a stunning hotel with its property at beach front. Check in was swift. Corridors are wide and rooms are spacious. It has an outdoor pool, a gym, a spa, Starbucks Coffee. The Sea Level restaurant is another building outside near the pool. There's also 3030 Restaurant for dinner. This hotel gives a very luxurious feel.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of staying here for a conference. This is a first-class resort that sits right on the beach. Highlights: It sits right on the beach, a really good beachside restaurant. a nicely stocked hotel bar and a top-shelf adjoining restaurant. Service is fantastic at every level. There is a very good juice/protein shake bar by the pool that I visited every day after my workout in their well-appointed gym. Here come my nits. It was freezing in their conference center. It reminded me of being in a casino and they are pumping in cold air to keep you awake. My room: being a lifetime platinum elite and a Bonvoy member for decades you would think I would at least rate a room with a decent view. Nah, enjoy the parking lot view while my teammates who are not Marriott loyalists were sending me beautiful sunrise photos. Solid 4 star property!
google avatar

Ray J.

Yelp
Breathtaking ocean view! We were there for a conference and styled for 5 nights; among our group, some friends had requested changing rooms as it has mold smells; one had ants. For my room, I was on the floor where the remodeling construction was happening, so we had firsthand experience with the remodeling. Each check-in included 2 complementary drinks at the bar (beer or wine), but the bar closed at 10:30 p.m. Banquet food is just OK, nothing sparks. We did get to use one of the Resort packages--sound bathing yoga. It was really fun, and the instructor was very nice. complimentary
google avatar

Andrea R.

Yelp
This resort is amazing! It is a full resort with all the amenities - beach and pool access, onsite activities, a full spa with indoor pool. It also is a conference center. I had the pleasure of indulging in both. How can you not?! The staff was very professional and attentive to guest needs. The bartenders were very friendly and hospitable. The restaurants were very nice and the food was good. Except banquet food, if you're a vegetarian. They are very limited and not creative with veggie meals. I was very underwhelmed. However, the property was the show stopper. The pictures do it no justice. I'm looking forward to going back.

Yelp
Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort is a fantastic getaway! Just minutes from the beach, it offers beautiful weather and an incredibly helpful staff. The perfect place for a relaxing vacation. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Overall a wonderful stay for the second time to take part in a conference for work. My family and I will be coming back as we love the direct access to the beach. The food was just alright- but again I was here for a conference. The bar service at the pool was great! On the beach not so much. The two times I have stayed I have had a good view of the pool and beach, but the balcony was right above the corn hole and ping pong so you hear people all night long.

Yelp
Overall, we had a wonderful stay at this property, which felt well run and higher-end. You also pay higher-end prices, so just be prepared. You kind of get used to charging everything to your room and before you know it you're $1500 in (this included parking our rental at $50 a day plus drinks and food at all the restaurants and bars, and shops on the property). We had amazing food and great service. The pool is great but it does get very crowded with families and lots of kids so it is recommended to get down there at about 7 or 7:30 in the morning if you want a good seat. Good seat meaning... close to the pool and sometimes they have restrictions like you can't be away from your seat for more than an hour otherwise they will take your stuff and give away your seat. Other times when it's less busy you just have to have a personal item on your seat in order to save it. They also have a really sweet private beach area where you can rent umbrellas and have multiple chairs/towels per party (chairs are included and we got one day free umbrella rental at check in). There is bar and wait service on the beach. We can play volleyball and bags. The ocean felt great, clean. Lots of swimmers on the day we chose to go, but other days it was too windy/water was wild. The meals we had at Sea Level were very good, we had ordered the Greek salad at the pool and it was so fantastic! I will remember it always - you should get it with chicken and use all the tzatziki and the dressing and mix it all up. SO DAMN GOOD Y'all!! Sea level had nightly entertainment. We paid ahead when booking the room and added the "free" breakfast every morning - we ate the buffet breakfast at Rivas each day and that was also very good and worth it. We had one dinner at 3030 and that was good as well. The outdoor area was nice for smokers or just hanging out. There are also games to be played outside like ping-pong and Jenga. The gym is also very nice with a good selection of really good equipment. The shops have a lot of cute stuff to browse and buy plus necessities you forgot to pack. We also had a $25 credit for spa services but we didn't end up using those. Boo. We thought we had reserved a partial ocean view/balcony, but it turns out we got a city view and I'm still skeptical as to what happened with that but considering we only spent a very small amount of time in the room it wasn't that big of a deal. The only suggestion I would have for a hotel this size would be to have a small area reserved just for adults at the pool area. It was a lot of work dodging and weaving around the kids playing and throwing things the whole day. I would recommend this hotel.

Yelp
The Marriott Resort in Fort Lauderdale was very relaxing with beautiful views. My mom came for a conference and I came for pleasure. Are room had a balcony and you could view the ocean and beach from are room. It was great experience waking up to that view every morning and just being thankful. There are a number of recreational activities that are offered such as basketball, volleyball, corn hole, jet skiing, paddle boarding, and other activities. The only thing was that there is an up-charge for everything you do. If you want to enjoy the activities there is an up-charge that is charged everyday to your card, which is pretty interesting considering it's an resort. The water activities are charged by the hour and the mostly all of the restaurants don't take cash. I would definitely advise if you want to go swimming to go early in the morning as soon as it opens because otherwise the pool is packed all day. The beach is right by the pool so you can go to beach to lay out but you have to pay extra for seating and umbrella's which is charged with the up-charge. There are plenty of restaurants around the area but the walking distance is about fifteen minutes, which I don't mind because I love walking. The Fort Lauderdale Beach is about a fifteen to twenty minute walk with a great oceanfront. You definitely can stay on the resort for your vacation but when I'm on vacation I like to see the city. The staff we're very pleasant and gracious and they provided great customer service. The only issue I have with the resort is that although it's beautiful and great way to relax, it can become pricey because basically everything is a la carte. It's definitely a family resort so it's great to bring the whole family.

Yelp
Really solid option for work or fun getaway. Beach on property is lovely and many amenities like spa and Starbucks. 3060Bar gave great service at lunch. Tyler was top notch. At breakfast buffet things were a bit crazy due to rain I think. But our kind server there ,John ,handled every issue that arose quickly and with a fix and a smile. Rooms were comfortable but not super luxurious. Chairs were hard to come by after 9 Am at pool.

Allison L.

Yelp
The hotel is nice and only a 10-minute walk to the harbor. However, I would NOT recommend staying here unless you are okay with a lot of children around--there are kids everywhere. Additionally, the hotel is undergoing construction, and if you have a room by the pool, you won't experience any peace and quiet until after 4 PM. Also, forget about keeping the curtains open; construction workers pass by your windows multiple times daily. It's not advisable to walk around without clothes and forget about enjoying the balcony; it's locked because of the ongoing construction. Furthermore, the shower is quite dark, making it difficult for women to shave. It won't let me post a video highlighting the construction noise but trust me, its awful.

Yelp
Love this location. right on the beach. big pool and nice rooms. Staff is super nice. Easy to get to the Curise port if you take a cruise

Yelp
We went on a trip for our family of 4 and had a pleasant stay here! Note the location is farther away from the prime area of Fort Lauderdale and is about a ~20 minute walk to most restaurants outside of the resort. Our oceanfront room was clean and spacious enough for our family. We requested for a crib for our infant after checking in which was brought up quickly. The only negative was the water for the tub which seemed murky one night (!!!). Housekeeping was completed daily but the times varied, but we were out of our room most of the time so it wasn't an issue. We enjoyed the pool one of the days and I would highly recommend making reservations for pool chairs, loungers, and/or cabanas if possible since it gets crowded quickly! There's also a splash pad area for young children which my daughter enjoyed a ton. Additionally, there's a Starbucks on-site as well as a few restaurants (3030 Club and Sea Level). Staff was friendly across the board during our stay, from the front desk to housekeeping to pool service to restaurant wait staff! Everyone seemed to be in such a good mood and were happy to assist you.

Yelp
This was a really nice stay and I don't have much complaints. The service was great at the lobby every time. They were doing some cleaning or construction on the floor I was at, so every so often it smelled like a bunch of chlorine and cleaning products. There's a Starbucks on the main floor, gym, FedEx, gift shop, massage and spa, and a pool. Live music at the restaurant next to the lobby. There's also another restaurant closer to the pool outside. For the room, I'm not sure if this is just a Marriott thing in general, but there's like no ventilation in the bathrooms. It's so weird to me. The shower didn't drain as well, but it didn't really bother me. It's a step in shower, so it's more accessible to most. Since our room was facing the ocean, we saw on our welcome map that we should close our blinds early so that the turtles don't come on shore. Apparently it's that time of year and turtles gravitate towards the light and we don't want them coming on shore and harming themselves. There are sticks and tape lined up on the beach to block off the turtle nests. I was there for a conference and I have to say, they offer one of the best conference meals I've ever had!

Yelp
Our VRBO had a beach club membership to use the hotel beach and pool amenities and it did not disappoint! We loved sitting on the beach. The beach has a staff that will take your drink and food orders and bring it to you. The pool area is huge and the lobby was beautiful and has a Starbucks. Although we did not stay here, we enjoyed our experience! The hotel also had jet skiing you could partake in if the weather was nice.

Yelp
I've stayed at Harbor beach multiple times throughout the last 17 years. It's a beautiful property, that has everything you need all right there. 16 private acres surrounded by water. With a huge beautiful Beach, full basketball court and tennis courts. The pool is huge with a cool water fall feature. They even have a private pool and hot tub for the spa. I also create art at the property all the time. It's my home away from home! Best, Joshua Clyde @SandmanBeachArt

Yelp
There a young man that works in the pool area at the marriott harbor beach hotel. His name is Noah. He is amazing. He helps everyone. Always asks if you need anything. He is an asset to the Marriott. Sara Martin

Yelp
Totally enjoyed our stay here!! The hotel was immaculate inside as well as the beach area which we mainly stayed by (cannot attest to pool area as we are beach goers). We loved our lunches at Sea Side, which had an amazing selection of food including an awesome ceviche and blackened salmon wrap. Nunu at the beach always set us up for success with great service for food and drinks (please have a frozen lemonade) while on the beach and Nate always set us up our chairs and cabana. Live music in the lobby during the evening was always a pleasure to hear!! It never felt crowded although I know it was a packed house. Would absolutely recommend and totally come back!

Yelp
Currently staying at the Harbor beach resort and every night a group of people are banging on my door, trying to get into my room. The manager offered me another room or I was welcome to checkout and provided me with a receipt. (David). However I know there's security on staff because I spoke with them the night before. David unfortunately never suggested for security to just check the room later tonight just to ensure their are no issues , usually between 12am , 3am However unpaid security guard suggested it after last night episode . After I called the front Security desk for my own safety .

Yelp
This place was just wonderful. Here for a wedding at Ft Lauderdale Yacht club. The staff here was absolutely on point. Friendly, informative and professional. We requested a king room and adjoining suite with another adjoining king room, crib and and a pull out couch. Bathrooms have been updated with shower (no tub). Nice tile. Rooms have been retiled. The Rooms could use updating but perfectly fine and comfortable. We had nice breakfast. (Get there before 8 am and it's quiet) after 9 am it gets very busy with families. We stayed here 20* years ago and we're back for the first time. We would def come back.

Yelp
The location and amenities are fantastic! Restaurants were good and the pool bar had the best mango daiquiri. There were some challenges with hotel renovations right outside my balcony, but the manager Jason was very helpful in sorting everything out. Will definitely be back!

Dana L.

Yelp
The resort has amazing staff, food and spa. An ocean view room is definitely the way to go! You can see the sunrise and moon over the water. The spa is very professional, a heated salt pool and online booking. There are multiple choices for food, from elevated casual, wait staff that are in polo's and pants, to fine dining, wait staff in ties and vests. The hotel was clean, must have on shoes and cover ups for the beach goers and a Starbucks right in the lobby. Highly recommend!

Leah T.

Yelp
The pool area is beautiful and the service was great. However, the service by the pool was a little slow. The spa treatments were wonderful. I loved my massage, and they have a lovely spa pool and hot tub.

Jodi M.

Yelp
Everything went well, from our arrival to our departure, beautiful resort, great accommodation, perfect location, coming here a long time, will continue to do so, shout out to our girl, Emily, one of the nicest people you will ever encounter, she a server on the beach, treats her customers like family

Yelp
Rude unhappy employees, Tiny Rooms, Crowded Public Areas, Great Location I'm platinum elite- hardcore Marriott loyalist- never have I dealt with such a rude front desk person. If I hadn't been up since 3 am I would have asked for the hotel manager. The front desk situation is an experiment in chaos, for a spring break destination on the Saturday before Easter- it's really unacceptable. So partially I blame management, but then for the front desk person who is not paying attention to the chaos to accuse me of cutting and tell me to go back to the line when I waited 10 minutes to check in (for some reason all the Bon Voy people checking in needed extra long assistance) Really got this trip off on the wrong foot. The rest of the chaos around the resort wreaks of poor management. I get it- it's a holiday weekend. But this happens every year- be better prepared. Our family is tripping over each other and the luggage in this insanely tiny space. USB jacks don't work and there's a green line down the middle of our TV. Thank heaven we're only here one night!
google avatar

Sherry D.

Yelp
It's a beautiful beach, nice room ( suite) 3030 great food and drinks great service . The cleaning staff was way too loud every morning! Beginning at 7:30 am. Even though our " do not disturb " sign was on the door they knocked at 8 am both days!! That never showed happen !!!
google avatar

Annie A.

Yelp
Great location and nice service. Everything works like clockwork - Big compliment to the management team at this location. Live music, good food and drink options, nice pool, clean beach and plenty of space to spend time together or do your own activities. Rooms are clean and you have the option to have it cleaned daily or not. The disappointing parts were the toilet was cracked, the balcony had pools of water sitting there hours and days after it had rained. The housekeeping team kept missing a few areas - some days it's get cleaned and others not so much. In an attempt to save space, the sliding door to the bathroom and closet became a nuisance- kept running the door into someone in the closet getting their stuff.

Yelp
I did a staycation for my birthday and couldn't have enjoyed it more. I stayed mid week and the hotel was busy but not overwhelming. I was immediately greeted by valet and they moved my car until I was ready to self park since I was choosing that option. The front desk was extremely welcoming. I received 2 free welcome drinks that I was able to use at 3030 ocean bar, a free umbrella and spa credit. I was able to easily park my car and head right up to my room. The room was clean and looked out right to the ocean and beach. Room service came timely for my first night. The pools and beach were beautifully kept. The spa was amazing and the spa pool was extremely peaceful. The entire staff was great!

Yelp
This resort was just wonderful. As others have stated, our room was not ready upon on arrival. That's fine, they would text when it was available. We went to have an adult beverage at the bar just off the main lobby and were notified our room was ready before we finished our drink. Our room had a lovely view of the ocean, beach area, pool area, and a small outdoor event area ( baby shower in progress). We had a balcony that wrapped around the corner so instead of only a table and 2 chairs, we had lounge chairs and another table along the side. We also could see the cruise ships as they embarked on their cruises. Didn't seem to matter what time it was, lobby area was busy and the front drop off area was packed so it was difficult for Uber pickup and drop off. My only complaint, if you can call it a complaint, was that other than the full length mirror on the closet door, the only mirror was the one in the bathroom. Two people could not get ready at the same time. Why wasn't there a mirror over the desk as in most hotels?

Danielle C.

Yelp
We had a beautiful room with a balcony on the beach. We loved the heated pool and ample beach front seating.

Taylor L.

Yelp
Was having a great stay, until the chef at the outdoor restaurant bar poisoned my brother (gave him gluten while he is celiac, after talking to multiple workers and the manager) and don't even get me started on the Lost Prevention man, Elias. He was horrible to us. Avid Marriott stayer but cannot say we will be back to this location.

Yelp
READ THE FINE PRINT - UNDER CONSTRUCTION we just left a few minutes ago. It's Tuesday, September 3. We spent the night there last night, and the bed was nice but the resort itself is pretty old and half of it is under construction, including the swimming pool. No swimming pool. That was the reason we went there. I booked it through the Bonvoy app with Marriott and there was no big flag or anything that would pop up to tell me that the resort was only 40%. Half the building is completely gutted. We had ocean view, and anticipated Ocean Sounds in the morning, but instead we woke up to jackhammers and a backhoe and construction guy yelling. Disappointed if it were a good deal and inexpensive then maybe? Probably not but maybe? But it was the same price as the other really nice hotels That don't have construction and don't have jackhammer and do have a pool!! On the sidenote, the guy that was at the counter last night was exceedingly friendly and nice and helpful, probably because of the guy that left the yelp review yesterday that said the front counter was horrible. But then this morning the front counter was not as helpful. I asked for late check out and they gave me 1 o'clock. I told them my flight didn't leave until two. Could we please have 2 o'clock and they said no. I'm a Marriott super elite something, and they normally give me 4 PM late check out. So we had to leave for the airport an hour early, or stand in the lobby for an hour. We left early

Yelp
One night and already don't like this place. At check in, they did the usual "your room isn't ready" trick. This was at 5 PM so, already knew this was BS. They do this so, you'll be initially upset then, they say we will try to find you something. Amazing, they found another room that was probably mine already. However, it's a room that has issues or people have complained. Had a work dinner at 7 so I couldn't do much but take it. This was a low lever room facing the beach right near the pool. I'm not in vacation and don't care about either. Also, weather here hasn't been great and they have no heat in the rooms. Froze my butt off last night. My recommendation is to take a room opposite of the beach on a high floor and be insistent about it. Don't fall for their tricks

Yelp
Wouldn't recommend. Had two small kids traveling with and requesting early check in. Well it's almost 4pm and we still have no room available even though we traveled early to get here. didnt really seem to care at front desk. Justin was friendly but clearly couldn't related with a long day of traveling with kids and just wanted to change into suits and enjoy our one time a year trip.

Yelp
Arriving near 1:00 AM after a delayed flight and troublesome Uber, my 8-month pregnant wife and I arrived for our 'babymoon' quite tired and frustrated. We had booked a King room with a beach view for the weekend through Delta vacations as well as booked some Spa services and were looking forward to the last vacation before parenthood. Check-in was smooth and quick until we arrived at our room, a two double bed room with a view of the loading dock. It was 1:00 AM and we were quite tired, but it being a special occasion we called down to the lobby to have it sorted out then rather than the next day. The front desk was uncooperative with my wife over the phone so we went down to discuss in person. The issue we discovered was Delta vacations booked the incorrect room for us - unfortunate! It took a while to put these pieces together as the front desk staff, now including the manager, was extremely unhelpful and argumentative in dealing with the scenario. At this point we were naturally upset with Delta vacations - but could have had no issue with the resort. The front desk staff had an opportunity here to take a terrible situation for two obviously exhausted (and one extremely pregnant) guests but continued to literally throw their hands up and repeat "there is nothing we can do". The next afternoon we ended up getting switched into the original room Delta Vacations had confirmed with us we were getting and had an excellent time at the spa and enjoyed the resorts many amenities during our stay. However, walking away the memory that will remain, and guide our ability to recommend this resort to friends or family, is standing at that lobby desk and watching two staff members and their manager display no empathy. As a manager, especially at a resort, you need to have something in your back pocket for this kind of situation. We understood the booking error was not the resort's fault! It is a fundamental leadership strategy to recognize a bad situation and turn it into a good one. One where we would walk away angry with Delta vacations but impressed with Marriott Fort Lauderdale Harbor Beach Resort. That impression could have led to repeat visits and other guests by recommendations and positive reviews. The new front desk staff the next day was able to make it right but the damage had already been done. Toss out a free drink at the bar..some perk at the pool..offer something...anything! At the very least there was one thing the front desk manager could have done - sympathize with your guests having a distressed moment on your property.

Yelp
I CAN ONLY COMMENT ON THE SPA AT THIS TIME. I've called about 10 times in the last 2 days and left several voicemails to ask a basic question about parking and possibly book a spa appointment. No one has answered or called me back.

Yelp
Providing an updated, more wholistic review of the property after a billing issue was resolved: The hotel is a modernized, clean space - housekeeping does a good job keeping rooms and hallways clean. Front desk folks like Patrice definitely augment the check-in experience. I do believe the host desk/concierge that handles calls can be improved - if a seemingly distraught guest calls, it's better to connect them to a manager early in the interaction, rather than multiple calls later, when the guest asks for that. Transferring to a corporate line or unanswered inbox isn't the appropriate "solution" - this would escalate frustrations more than anything. It takes quite a bit to unravel me, so one may guess just how irritating this experience was for me, at least. PS I apologized for this later - self-accountability is important for everyone, and everyone can always find room to self-improve and grow. :) With larger group visits, managing the number of people in the lobby becomes challenging. I cannot imagine what smaller groups or individual guests feel with the business of the lobby areas. Perhaps a curfew can be set up for children in the lobby after a certain time, which may help guests and staff keep things a little more calm at night time. Nice space, otherwise. I didn't experience the pool or beach, but have frequented the restaurants and bars. Although a bit pricy, the menus are transparent and up-front. Catering did a great job - best I've experienced from Marriott Harbor Beach the last couple years.

Yelp
this hotel was very nice except the cleaning service wasnt the best two days we left at 9:30 and came back at 4:00 and our room still wasnt clean. and when they do clean our room they dont wipe the counters, restock our waters, or coffee cups or coffee. also the pool was super crowded there was a line in the morning before the pool opened to get seats becuase they were overbooked. other than those things it was very nice the beach had games and the bar and food was very good. i just feel the biggest problem is that the hotel cannot accommodate the max amount of guest.

Yelp
We recently completed a stay at your resort and would like to bring to your attention the quality of service that we received from your staff. Upon our arrival, we went directly to Sea Level and were met by Kristen and Christopher who were tending to the bar. We were warmly greeted, promptly served and made to feel at home. They were both exceptionally friendly and outgoing and are fine representatives of your establishment. They definitely made a great first impression. The next day we had lunch at Sea Level. Alyssa the Sea Level manager greeted us on arrival. She was professional yet friendly and ensured that we had everything we needed. Chef Alex stopped by our table and asked if our meal was as requested. Alyssa and Alex made our lunch accommodations effortlessly. They were both so friendly and outgoing that we were highly impressed. We had the occasion to dine at 3030 and were met by John and Kevin. These two and our server Will are experts in fine dining and took care of us masterfully. John has the personality and charm of an old school restaurant manager. Will was outgoing and extremely knowledgeable of the menu, food and wine paring and exhibited great showmanship in his table presentation. From drinks to dessert there was nothing that was less than fantastic. We definitely look forward to our return. In closing, I request that you extend our gratitude to your exceptional staff for the level of service that we experienced during our stay. The staff members mentioned above, as well as those behind-the-scenes, left such an indelible impression that I felt compelled to write to you. You can be sure that whenever we visit Fort Lauderdale, we will stay at the Harbor Beach Marriott.

Yelp
Terrible first impression with an overcrowded lobby, long wait, poor sounding musician, and the lack of early check-in even though 10am was requested the day prior (or 4pm check out for that matter) for a titanium + lifetime platinum elite. Then we went to check our bags and the two bellmen couldn't figure out how to tag our bags. First it started out with a white tag. Then it was a yellow tag since we were checking in. Then the other guy came over and it was in fact a white tag but we would need to remove the backpacks off our rollers and tag each of our 5 items separately, which, in all my stays, has never ever been a thing. I decided to text in the app to see if our room was ready at 1pm and was told only a connecting one was ready so I said that's fine, only to show up at the front desk to be told a non-connecting was actually ready too which was good. Unfortunately, we got put in 507, right in front of housekeeping with the squeakiest door ever. We thought a cat was dying every time the door was opened and we could hear it all day long. Another weird thing that Marriott does that I should be used to by now is blocking off a certain amount of pool chairs and making them reserved so they can profit off of those. Resort fee is a joke and you get a free beach chair but have to pay for an umbrella, again, nickel and dime-ing you when all other "resorts" just offer you chairs and umbrellas on the beach like they do at the pool. Last thing I will say is that service towards elite members is not consistent, as I asked during check in with one person if I can get a 4pm checkout and was given 1pm and then when I had to re-checkin with another person when my room was ready then she had no issues giving me 4pm. Honestly, all that aside, the hotel is just really really really crowded and you feel it. BUT, they do give out free chocolate chip cookies by the pool (randomly?) and they did bring a lovely birthday gift to my room of chocolate strawberries and a bottle of champagne so they definitely do try.

Yelp
This isn't our favorite Marriott Vacation Club, but the combination of beach and urban life keeps us coming back. There's a shopping area at the base of the hotel and lots of restaurants and shops up and down the street. The elevators are a real problem. I recommend lower level floors because you can take the stairs if you have to.

Yelp
This is a beautiful upscale resort and spa. You can join and get a membership and have unlimited use of the facilities. They have nice restaurants , beach bars and beautiful pools. There's private parking you get free if you're a member but you also get many other amenities that go along with the membership.

Yelp
I stayed here for the first time this month (October 2022). ROOM My boyfriend and I were celebrating his birthday and wanted to book a hotel on the beach for easy access. We booked the "Staycation Getaway" package which included a complimentary upgrade upon check-in, a daily $25 resort credit, two free drinks, and a late check-out. Katrina took care of us upon check-in and upgraded us from an Intracoastal View room to a Pool & Partial Ocean View room. She also gave us complimentary umbrella access for our stay (they're typically $21/day for a rental). We went up to the room and I noticed that the water in the toilet had somewhat of a yellow color. I thought the restroom had been used, so I called down and spoke to Shaquil and he explained that is the water color in Fort Lauderdale. (Which I had never heard of before.) He apologized and immediately offered to move us to an Ocean View room! We hadn't even unpacked so we gladly moved over to this new room. It was in the corner of the building and even had a secondary balcony with a large table and chairs as well as two lounge chairs. We completely unpacked, a few hours went by, and then... a few critters came to visit us. No, not BBs (I won't spell it out). They weren't palmetto bugs, either. (I think this happened because we had two balconies with sliding doors, so it was probably easy for them to get in.) At this point, it was around 5pm and we were about to get ready to enjoy dinner and a night out. We were beyond frustrated as we had completely unpacked. I called back down again and explained the situation. We were quickly moved to another Ocean View room (that was not in the corner of the building) and all was well. This was actually the nicest of the three. They compensated us for the inconvenience by refunding 50% of our first night room charge. We also received complimentary breakfast at the buffet for the remainder of our stay. They also surprised us with a bottle of Prosecco and sweet treats! I will say the first two rooms needed some touch-ups in certain areas with paint. You can see there are scrape marks from the nightstands being moved. BEACH & POOL LaTonya hooked us up with a complimentary beach cabana rental for my boyfriend's birthday. Nuno was upbeat and friendly while he took our food and drink orders on the beach. We didn't take advantage of the complimentary hour of non-motorized water sport access, but this was a nice option to have. The beach staff will set up the chairs and umbrella for you. They also have towels directly on the beach. The beach is a very short walk from the main building and easily accessible from multiple walkways. We didn't use the pool much but there seemed to be a lot of seating available. FOOD & DRINK Marie was awesome at 3030 Bar - she worked her magic and make some specialty cocktails for us! We ate lunch here when we arrived and had a delicious wedge salad and burger. I was impressed with the Sea Level Restaurant. We ate there on two days and had the Street Corn Crab Dip, Loaded Jerk Chicken Nachos, Blackened Mahi Tacos, and Pulled Jerk Chicken Sandwich. HB Fresh was very expensive - $5 cookies... we only had one cold brew and it was OK. (I'm not sure how they make any $ there, though. Everything was overpriced.) The breakfast buffet was generous with an omelette and waffle station (shout-out to Elaine - she was awesome), bacon, sausage, pastries, toast/bread, oatmeal, fresh fruit, charcuterie, and more. The servers were attentive and the outside dining area was beautiful and enjoyable with cool 70-75 degree mornings. SPA & GYM They have a private pool and hot tub for guests who have a service done at the spa. The locker rooms are spacious and have lounge areas, steam rooms, saunas, showers, etc. We each had a 50-minute massage and really enjoyed our experiences. Note that they do include gratuity. We didn't take advantage of the gym or class schedule, but all of the equipment is brand new. There are so many machines and they had 3-4 classes offered each day! Yoga, spin, and zumba were on the schedule. ETC The Resort Shop was RIDICULOUSLY expensive. $8 for a bottle of Evian water - no thanks! (We did an InstaCart order for waters, drinks, etc.) They had other snacks, gifts, etc. available as well, but I didn't even bother checking the prices. One day, they were handing out warm chocolate chip cookies, which I thought was very nice. They also have a lot of ice water with cucumber, etc, located around the hotel. SUMMARY I would stay here again with a discounted package rate. The beach access is unbeatable and the staff was very accommodating. The food was very good, but the ambiance of the entire resort could use a little refresh. You can tell they accommodate to a wide range of guests - convention, wedding, families... (They are currently renovating the main front entrance, so we'll see!)

Yelp
This is a very nice and spacious hotel located direct on the beach. Their pool area is rather expansive. I do not like how close all the sunbeds are laid out, far too close for comfort during covid to each other. They also have a nice patio restaurant called See level - which offers very pleasant views. They also have live music there sometimes too, which is very pleasant. However the service is sub par, as is the food - you can see my detailed review of See Level. Despite this though, I really like the hotel.

Yelp
First time here. Met by a prompt valet, very helpful explained our next step. Our visit at check in had me feeling like a third wheel and didn't care if I was here or not. Had an early check in was at the room by 12, perfect. The room was clean and fresh, great view of the ocean. Went down to the pool and must say the biggest one in the area I have ever seen. Poolside service by Shannon was great, she was attentive to us for the day. Great setup with the bar right there and beach a close walk to. Poolside food was very good. Dinner time at 3030 Restaurant and must say was an 8/10 menu not very much to pick from, like the others in the hotel. Breakfast also 8/10. Overall Hotel and ground's beautiful well kept.

Yelp
Extraordinary resort! Stayed a B Ocean resort next door, and this Marriott far exceeds quality of B Ocean! Best & it seems only resort with direct beach access. Spa services on site were exquisite! 2 restaurants woth full bar areas and a breakfast restaurant provide suitable eating options. Breakfast is over at 11 so don't have to rush & possibly miss breakfast. Housekeeping services were great. Room was great, though wish balcony had screening with door so can get ocean air in room. Shower was decent but needed upgrading a bit. Bed was decent, pillows left a lot to be desired unless you request extra pillows. No microwave in room yet there's a fridge. Didn't partake in pool but pool area was nice. Lots and lots of places to lounge and enjoy the sun. Nearby towns and areas provided nightlife, eating and shopping choices. Great for conferences, conferences being held by large groups during my stay. FedEx kiosk/office in bldg if need shipping/receiving services. Starbucks on premises as well. Ocean side views from room were extraordinarily excellent! Highly recommend as resort to stay at!

Yelp
Major STAYCATION! I love this hotel so much.. where to begin? One of the best ways to enjoy this resort for a day is to book a spa service.. currently Spa month so $99 services.. such a good deal! And you get to enjoy the pool and beach all day. But my pictures are from my friends birthday weekend.. she was a guest and had us join her for a few hours at the pool.. her views from her room were magical and the service was great. Love this resort!
