Small locked up park at top of small hill. If you are looking for a fort, you will not find one. Its a few cannons on the top of a very small 1 maybe 2 story hill. It had a fence around it, and was locked. It really is not worth it, even if you are walking right by.

It would be interesting if it would be open and if there were more information displays. The old canons look cool and give a nice vibe. But as already other reviewers said: It’s all locked up and the only open thing is the craft market nearby. The sellers there are pretty aggressive like a lot of the people in Montego Bay

One of the lost amazing views to wake up to in in a sunny day. Montego Bay has very lively hosts and very entertaining bus drivers. They not only tell you the story if the island but they enchant you with music and very funny jokes that make it a very worth of a ride. We got to see the compound where Bob Marley's foundation works from now and ride all the way up the mountain where you also have amazing views of the bay. Great for unusual shopping.

Quick day trip from most resorts. Better prices here than the big craft fair, but not as much selection.

A small nice fortress (just a few cannons and walls left). Some reviews said its closed, but somebody with keys from the nearby market came and opened it for us. The market is also worth visiting (you might be bothered a bit but a majority of the sellers were in the harbor on that day - cruise ship day). It seems the market is where other parts of the fortress were. Explore it, there is a well preserved fortress armory building hidden there.

While visiting Montego Bay downtown I thought I should check out the old fort. It's actually closed and you can't enter but can take photos through the gate. But since the craft stalls are right next to it, be prepared to get a lot of tourist attention to check out their shops. Possibly worth a visit but I'd skip it and check out the cultural centre instead.

I went to the craft market but honestly wouldn't return. It's a place where people are trying to make a living but will hike up the prices just to get the $. After leaving, I felt used and lied too. I think if they would have more tact about how they approach and sell, more people would go.
