A must see on the island! View from the Fort is amazing! For the Lokrum Island highly recommend getting on the 9 or 10 am ferry to avoid the crowd. There are ferries back to Dubrovnik every 30 mins. Ferry leaves right from the Dubrovnik Old Harbor to Lokrum. Top must see is Monastery and Fort. Everything else is optional. Do allow for 2-3 hours on the island. This route is the easiest - least steep option up to the Fort: 1) Head first to the monastery (for the Game of Thrones - Throne). You can take as many photos without the crowd if you take the 9-10am ferry. 2) Head to Dead Sea to take a dip or skip to go past it to the gorgeous view of the open ocean! 3) Then head in the direction of the Botanical Garden (skip the garden - not much to see) and go toward Path of Paradise up to the Fort! Look backward as you head up for gorgeous views! 4) Explore the Fort! This is a must! Gorgeous views - note the best view is not in the fort but around it. 5) Optional to head down the steep rocky slop to the other side of the island to Lazret, Skalica, and the Cross. 6) Head back to the port - there should be a ferry every 30 mins. Note, ferry do leave a few minutes early!

There wasn't much to see, especially after walking the wall and the other fort in town. It's a bit of a hike uphill on the island, but just past the fort there is an unobstructed view of Dubrovnik which was cool.

Lovely views from the top of the Napoleonic fort. Definitely gets steep towards the end but I wouldn’t say it’s too difficult. Take your time going down as it can get slippery. The fort itself is very cool and if you go to the top you have a great 360 view. It’s free to enter.

The views from the top of Fort Royal are absolutely breathtaking. It isn't the easiest place to get to, as the pathway leading up to the fort, the Path to Paradise, is very steep, rocky and sometimes slippery. There isn't much shade on the path if you're going midday, and there aren't any water refill facilities nearby, so be sure to stock up before making your journey. That being said, we were so glad we did it! It was beautiful.

The view from this place is absolutely fantastic. Everywhere you look, the scenery is very nice. It's a must visit on the island. However, beware that the road leading up to the fort is very steep and rocky so could be a bit hard to climb.

On the island's highest point at 96 metres (315 feet) above sea level stands Fort Royal Castle, which was built by the French during Napoleon's occupation of Croatia, and later named "Maximilian's Tower" after Austrian archduke (and short-lived Emperor of Mexico) Maximilian, who once had a holiday home on the island. The building of the fortress on the highest peak of Lokrum was initiated by the French army after the occupation of Dubrovnik in 1806., and completed during the Austrian administration around 1835. With 360 degree views from the top, it is a must visit to all who visit Lokrum.

The views from here are unbelievable . If you are on the Island, make sure you go to Fort Royal. You can see Dubrovnik in the distance and the surrounding sea. You will get an unobstructed full 360 degree view from here. Thank you.
