Forte de São Filipe

Easy to get to by car. You can literally drive through the gates to park. A bit of a hike if walking but well worth it for great views. Chapel is tiles and beautiful too. And it’s FREE!

Nice fort to visit. Very beautiful place im Setubal It is possible to drive all the way up to this castle. Parking was available. Beautiful view of tha bay and the city. Plus for having a restaurant / cafe at the top. Nice to enjoy a glass of wine with this view . Good place for a date with your loved one.

Incredible views overlooking the water and the lands. Cool sitting area to stop and feel conquery inside after viewing the somber and elegant chapel.

really cool place to check out. we walked from the beach up, about 2km and worth it. if you need motivation there’s a cafe for a beer and espresso up top.

Well preserved forte built in the 1500's Beautiful views of the Setubal bay and Troia insula. Definitely worth a visit!

Great place and great view. I’d recommend to take a cab to this spot, there’s not enough shade to walk uphill during the day but the view is worth it. Entry is free and relatively empty so very peaceful to walk around and take amazing photos.

Worth the drive. Interesting place, super view, and restaurant for a drink and snack.

Discovered the fortress quite by accident. One can drive all the way up to the entrance and enjoy free reign of the beautiful structure. Lovely chapel with beautiful tile and woodwork; stunning views of the bay.
