A wonderful blend of old and new, to walk around the base of the fort is jaw dropping to envision the work involved in the construction of it. Walking inside the perimeter shows the modern attractions including a kids park, fitness area and stunning views of the ancient town. No cost to enter and enjoy the views

Well, somehow it didn't give me the typical Tuscany feelings, I missed the vegetation within the walls in the old town. Fontana Gaia was pretty cool BTW. We tried the ice cream but it hasn't that famous taste as well. The market in Thursday was okay but the food section was too little. Take care of the sellers, one of them at the food section tried to betray us, when we decided to pay by card he charged for a whole kilogram fee for only a half of a kilogram dried tomatoes! Parking is a bit tricky: on the white spaces one hour is free but you have to put a paper on the shield with the arriving time (no need paper clock they use a normal paper with the numbers on is good enough!). Toilets are normally €1 per person.

Visited on a Wednesday; a calm & tranquil place to escape from the hustle & bustle of the market below. Panoramic views of old Siena, and floral scents as you walk around the perimeter walls. A children’s play area, exercise machines for adults, and a lovely public green space for all. (No entry fee.)

We rather enjoyed our walk along the walls of the fortress. It was mainly locals exercising in the outdoor gyms or jogging around the walls that were enjoying the facilities. There are a couple of spots that by mid afternoon provide some of the best views of the city scape and the cathedral.

I came here 3 times during our stay in Siena for a walk and to take in the views. A great place to get a view over the old city and surrounds. There is also free exercise equipment and would be a good place to come and enjoy the good weather.

Visited on a Tuesday afternoon around 4pm. The park is quite peaceful and calm. We went to view the city and take pictures. There are restaurants in the park as well. Great place to take photos with the city as a backdrop. Tickets are not required for entry.

Great place to start a days sight seeing ( no loos nearby). Fantastic panoramic views, and a chance to get your bearings. Almost nobody here at 10am mid july.
