Nice site to roam around the ruins for free with nice sea view. Easy walk down to the beach too with as usual lots of cats and kittens, some coming for cuddles.

Easy walk from Napflio, fine old remains of buildings. Be aware where you walk though as it seems it is not maintained. Free entrance. Fantastic views from there

After the tough climb up to this fortress from the old town below, we were a little underwhelmed. Not much of antiquity interest when you get there, but the views are great.

You need to walk this old castle. You will meet some cute cats and have an astonishing view and if you time it good an amazing sunset.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Acronauplia Fortress in Nafplio is a captivating relic that drew my wife, children, and me into its storied embrace. We wandered its ancient ramparts, tracing the footsteps of Byzantines, Venetians, and Ottomans across weathered stone. Scaling low walls, we felt like scholars unearthing secrets, while the kids imagined themselves as intrepid adventurers. From sheer cliff edges, we gazed at beachgoers below, mere specks against the Argolic Gulf’s turquoise expanse, glinting under a relentless sun. Nafplio’s Old Town, with its terracotta roofs, sprawled beneath us—a living canvas of history’s endurance. Standing under the famed clock tower as it tolled, the resonant chime seemed to summon ghosts of empires past, leaving my ears ringing with their echo. The heat tested our resolve, but the breeze off the sea and the fortress’s grandeur kept us pressing on. My wife, our steady guide, ensured no one strayed too close to the edge. Acronauplia is no mere pile of stones; it’s a dialogue with time, offering panoramic vistas and whispers of ancient intrigues. Bring water, sturdy shoes, and an open mind—this fortress is a journey into the heart of history’s tenacity. (204 words)

Nice walk up to see the ruins with amazing views. You can spend more time walking around in the ruins all free of charge. However I had other plans and didn’t walk all the way to the end of the road where there alledgedly also are good viewing points over the sea. Visited Nov 22 so not at all busy.

Very good views from above. However, not many information are around thw ruins and therw are very scarse pathways if you decide to go on foot to the top. However, the seaview and the view to Nafplio is amazing.
