We started our climb from the base, making our way up the stone steps. The view along the way was spectacular, and the air felt incredibly refreshing. Once you reach the fortress, you’ll need to purchase a ticket to enter. We were lucky — it was the first Sunday of January, and admission was free. We thoroughly explored the entire fortress and truly enjoyed both the rich history and the breathtaking views of this incredible place.

Perfect place to see the entire city. Not only the city itself can be seen, but the beautiful ocean can be visible as well. The price of entrance is 20€ per person(adult), but its value of beautiful scenes are way over the price.

The castle is a totally worthy visit. We drove up to the castle entrance and parking was tough. Going early is better. Also Greece is super hot so if you travel in summer please hydrate and carry sunscreen and hats. The views are spectacular with plenty of view points.

The breathtaking views at the top is 100% worth the walk up. On the way, I recommend bringing a bottle of water and maybe a fan as it can get very warm. Additionally don’t do this walk if you are not at least a bit fit, or if you have asthma. The walk up to the top took about 20 minutes, however, a friend of mine took 45 minutes. It depends on your own speed.

Take a bottle of water with you as there are many stairs (I suggest athletic shoes) and take it easy if you're not use to walking loads of stairs. Especially younger children might find this hard. The views are amazing.

The fortress was spectacular. It was difficult to walk around. Rocks were slippery. However, the views from the fortress were breathtaking. The engineering behind the fortress definitely made you ponder how it came together. It was incredible. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, a sunhat and bring water.

Great place with astonishing views from all around. Just sit somewhere and think about the historical events that have occurred here, pretty impressive and makes you feel humble. What kept me from giving 5 stars is the entrance fee, okay children are free but to charge €20,- per adult I think is way too much. This price will keep many tourists from visiting the fortress which is a cultural loss for the city.

Very nice location. There's enough space for a long walk if you aren't in hurry. Amazing view on the sea and city. If you're going to spend enough time there it's better to choose not very hot and sunny day.
