This store is fantastic if your pockets are deep. You'll find lots of unique designer fashions, accessories and decorative items for the home. There is also a little cafe in the back that has some excellent light fare and espresso. The men's section is comparatively small, but they tend to carry a lot of styles more suited to slimmer builds, urban hipsters, and label obsessives. 35K Millionaires would love to shop here if they could afford it, but this place has Stanley-Korshak-prices that will set you back with some jaw-dropping price tags. Ever pay $100+ for a tshirt? Well you definitely CAN do that here easily. You know, I personally don't have a lot of respect for people that gouge you with prices, but I can see how some people like my Mom would walk in here and storm right back out. However, I don't consider this store to be one that gouges you though their prices on some items are admittedly high. But it will help if you approach this store like you would a museum. Indeed, many of the items here have a deep artistic soul. And, for the price you pay, you actually get extraordinary value. If you buy anything here, chances are that it's extremely rare; that's the nature of what's here. It is not mass-produced garbage. At one point in time, they had the most beautiful solid, carved jade dinnerware I've ever seen. I wish I could have afforded it.
Something I did buy here awhile back were some Werkstatt-Muenchen pieces. http://www.werkstatt-muenchen.com/
One was an awesome sterling silver ring, and the other was a special order piece wraparound sterling silver and leather bracelet. Both items are stunning and get lots of compliments **pics are attached**. Forty Five Ten is the only place I know of that can order this type of stuff for you.
I recommend this store to people with deep pockets looking for the best of the best, or those who just appreciate good quality and artistic soul. There is beautiful stuff here, but you may find yourself with a case of sticker-shock if you've never been here before. Conspicuous consumption may be out of vogue, but at least Forty Five Ten has parking in the back ;-)
