If you want to experience beutiful scenery and natur. Lom is absolutley worth a visit. The hotel, just like the owner, Ola is full of charm! The food in the cafeteria is just amazing! The beds was really good, and the hotel is over 100year old and have the good old norwegian charm.

We stayed for two nights and would probably not return. Booked online but when we arrived the reservation could not be found, fortunately we still got a room. Seems we were not the only people to have this problem. Room was OK, over in the annex that has the swimming pool. Location is good, right in the centre of Lom. Everything is a bit shabby and it looks as though it is being run on a shoestring.

We stayed for two nights in cabin 14. It was great to finally have a cabin that had its own toilet & shower not to mention running water in the kitchen! It was luxury compared to the other cabins we had stayed at on our road trip around Norway. The views were fabulous, looking over the town, down into the river and lake and wonderful valleys. Lom itself is a great little town with some lovely places to eat. But you will want to do all your relaxing back on your verandah of the cabin! We found all of the staff to be very accommodating, the cabin was clean and we would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in Lom.

My wife and I stayed a couple of nights when hiking in Lom / Jotunheimen area.|The hotel was very plain with a basic, clean room.|NOK 1500/ night seems rather high, but it’s a busy popular area full of tourists.|The food served in the hotels cafeteria is described as traditional Norwegian and it is.|Huge portion of food to a reasonable price. And you could cook it at home tasting far better.|The breakfast is good with cooked eggs and bacon if asked for.||But what is it with Norwegian tourist hotels and the service they offer their guests? |It’s not the first time we experience this and for sure not the last time during this holiday.|At Fossberg they have a bar with a small selection of beverages.|Monday night we wanted a couple of drinks and in the hot summer evening we asked for the very popular aperol spritzer, but that was unknown for the person attending the bar.|She could offer us GT and Irish Coffee.|We settled for GTs and got 2 straight glasses with 2 cl gin and soda.|Not stirred, no ice cubes or lemon. Neither the gin nor tonic was chilled.|When asking for ice cubes we was told that the ice machine was broken and we had to drink the GTs fast not to taste is was luke warm.|We guess the hotel has a freezer and it should be possible to make some ice cubes.|Pls also notice that within 100 m from the hotel is located 2 super markets, both selling ice cubes on 1 kg bags.|All together a one time experience not to be recommended.|Petter D||

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, great location and charming traditional style, but the breakfast was not impressive. Corona restrictions seem to me a bad excuse to not to offer more alternatives. The basic breakfast plate was minimalistic, and scrumbled eggs were not an option. Hope they reconsider their breakfast menu!

We had a single room for 3 people, rather small as you could expect, but clean and tidy. It was well heated, almost too much. Beds were ok comfortable.||The bathroom was rather small as well, but clean and with a powerful shower.||Good buffet breakfast: wide choice and good food, especially the bread.||There's a bar where you can get drinks until 11pm, and a cafeteria where you can have lunch and dinner until 9.30pm (didn't try it though, it didn't look very inviting).||The hotel is central in Lom: supermarket right in front, and the beautiful wooden church just across the street.||||All in all I recommend to stay there :)

Room was good size but very hot, a ventilator would be nice. Breakfast was ok, no more. Location right in thd centre of Lom. Water in the shower is leaking on the floor but bathroom is quite big. Many restaurants andcshops nearby. The hotell corridirs ard smelling of kitchen oudors duringbthe day and afternoon, did not like it.

Stayed one night with 2 kids. There are a a few facilities available like squash, gym and swimming pool which is good. Good size family room that has 2 separated rooms, ok space. Only 2 chairs though. Bathroom was smelly, like old urin. Not all lamps were working. No coffee/tea facilities. Decorative curtains that doesn't really make it dark at night. Cafeteria disappointing imo, there are better options in the area. Breakfast a huge disappointment, no warm food and the food for breakfast seemed to have been prepared the day before... So e. G the fruits were oxidated," scrambled eggs" was tasteless and ice-cold. I will not go back.
