This is a very nice hotel. It has a lot of charm and character. The rooms are nice as well with amenities you expect from a good hotel. The restraunt breakfast a nice start to the day. They also have an interesting little museum in the hotel with an underground ship mock-up. The local village is quite charming too with an interesting history we would stay here again if travelling through the area.

What a really lovely surprise of a hotel. As a chain hotel, we weren't sure if it was going to be another anonymous type place. Not at all, a great location and really friendly staff. The room was really lovely overlooking the fjord and breakfast, albeit very busy, was great. It was a 60th birthday trip and the staff put a little cake in the fridge, which was such a generous thing to do - thank you. The evening meal was great and the staff lovely and friendly. The village itself is very pretty and the location is, of course, stunning. A true little gem and would highly recommend.

Quaint property located right by the water. The room was comfortable though it could use a bit more soundproofing. The breakfast is adequate. Staff members are very friendly and take the time to make recommendations. I’d recommend booking a stay if you are driving through the area.

This was a really charming hotel in a French fishing village in the Eastfjords. The hotel is a cluster of buildings built in the site of the old hospital, infirmary and doctor's house. The lobby is in the old doctor's house and also houses a museum, and the rooms/restaurant are in connected buildings across the street. The restaurant is nice too, and is right on the fjord and has a beautiful view of the docks and fjords.||We're a family of 4 and had two separate rooms...they were very cute, compact, cozy rooms. We really enjoyed our time there and wished we could have stayed a little longer in the area during our Ring Road travels. ||The only thing I could think of to improve would be to have a sauna or hot tub on site as we've enjoyed those throughout our stays in Iceland!

We stayed here for 1 night during our journey towards Myvatn. We were welcomed by a great and friendly host who gave us all of the information we needed. Our room was perfect, a little bit more authentic (so less modern) but that was also part of the charm for us. We had an amazing view from our room which only made it better. Breakfast was nice. It had everything we needed and there were no shortcomings whatsoever. Would stay here again. For parking there are specific area’s where you can park if there is no room in front of the hotel. Just ask when you are checking in and the can point it out to you.

Wonderful location right on the waterfront. This is, I think, the only hotel in this small town and perhaps it could do with a little competition. Good breakfast but dinner offering was very limited. Rooms could do with some additional small touches (shelves, hooks small table etc.) to make them more usable.

We had no idea when booking our reservation that we would need to carry our baggage up a flight of stairs to get to our room. Given the very high rate for a one-night stay (nearly $700 including all fees), the fact their front desk people didn't ask upon check in if they can have a staff person carry the baggage up to the room (with no service charge/tip accepted) is incredible to me Especially for 60+ old guests like my wife and I! The caliber of the bed and amenities in the room were quite modest - certainly not the high-end we expected given the room rate. Overall, the worst value I have ever experienced for a hotel room in my life, and I've traveled a lot!

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming hotel, full of character and history. The building itself is beautifully preserved, with decor and lovely wallpapers that reflect its rich past. Our triple room was spacious and comfortable, providing everything we needed for a pleasant stay.||The staff at the front desk were friendly and incredibly accommodating—they even let us explore the on-site museum just after closing time, which was a thoughtful touch that we really appreciated.||We were placed in the main building where reception is located, across from the waterfront building, but our view was still fabulous. As expected in a historic property, the bathroom was a bit dated, but the shower was warm, soothing, and perfectly functional.||The surrounding area was quiet and peaceful, making it a restful stop on our trip. We’d definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a unique and relaxing hotel experience.
