I stayed 1 night here. I selected it because of the location. Easy reach out different waterfalls and other spots. The view was nice but things can have more quality. The toilet flush wash not working. Staff very friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was also good.

Only hotel in the area. Nice lobby and restaurant area...OK rooms. The restaurant is nice and modern...though the menu is very touristy. The rooms reminded me of a cruise ship...long halls, small rooms, and compact bathrooms. The shower is tiny and beds are twins that can push together if desired. Cool thing is walk out patios on each room (though no chairs or anything). Service was OK. Left too early to try the breakfast.

Hotel is ok but out in the middle of nowhere which we knew when we booked it. Service is mediocre. We stayed 2 nights and when we returned our keys did not work and no sorry about that then at happy hour would not adjust price on a drink after an order was off and then they already opened a beer. Lastly, shower doors won’t close and impossible to get the room to cool off on a warm day. Breakfast was fairly good. Maybe I should have given it 2 dots given the price we paid.

Nice location. Rooms small but not bad. Send clean, but found hair tie and some hairs under comforter, which raises question do they change sheets regularly. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location to sites. Bite is wonderful from every room

The absolute best hotel to stay at. The staff goes above and beyond and the views are amazing! Food was amazing, breakfast buffet was huge. The patios off of each room have wonderful views, perfect for watching the Aurora Borealis. Can not say enough about this hotel. We will be back!

Good location, hotel in a big plain and its a good spot for Northern Light seeing and star glazing.||Quiet at night, room is big with sufficient space to lay up luggage. Good size shower room, water pressure is good and temperature is stable. Bed is comfy and big.||We only put up for a night, everything is in order, nothing to comment.

Fosshotel Nupar is an experience. Staying in the middle of nowhere under the stars and with the hope of catching an aurora (which we did !). Rooms are comfortable and clean. Every room has a balcony and a view of the stunning mountains. The ala carte restaurant deserves special mention. We had an excellent meal there of the squid ink spaghetti and the chargrilled burger. Service is excellent and very friendly.

This hotel was the worst one during our stay in Iceland. They should be ashamed to charge $200 for the kind of quality they offer. It looks nice from the outside but it's all superficial. First we were put in room 68 and the bathroom smelled like mold. We asked to be moved and they gave us keys to room 71 - the whole room smelled like mold. So we ended up returning to room 68 and enduring the horrible smell in the bathroom. I am sure they had more rooms available but did not bother to offer other options. Then the room itself... Both beds had multiple hair in them, on pillowcases and under the covers. There were bugs in the room, as well as a dead bug on one of the bathroom hand towels and another on the counter. There were only 3 hangers available. We paid $200 but the quality was far worse that $68 hostel we stayed at in another East Iceland town (see my other reviews).
