The hotel offer spacious but simple rooms plus large bathrooms. The view forom our east-facing bedroom was amazing. The restaurant prooved really good and they met our unorthodox dietary requirements easily and graciously. Why only 4 stars? Well, it is a fairly basic accommodation, but it exceeded our expectations. Recommended.

We had an excellent stay at Fosshotel Nupar. Front desk associate was very helpful, in checking us in and getting us a last minute reservation at their in-hotel restaurant. The food there was delicious, and the drinks were top-notch! We liked that we could take a drink to-go, for our room. The rooms were very clean and spacious. It was great to have a little deck out back, and when it got too cold, there were plenty of chairs/couches throughout the lobby at which to relax and enjoy our drink. We thought the quantity and quality of food at the breakfast was outstanding. It was our first night in Iceland, so we didn't have much to compare it to, but looking back, it might have been the best breakfast of our stay. I would definitely stay here again if we ever came back, and would recommend it to friends.

Beautiful hotel, but literally in the middle of nowhere. All rooms look out over the endless landscape. Very good restaurant (happy hour before dinner) - a drive to any other/next place to eat, so stay and relax. Recommend and would stay again.

We are a family of four and traveled around the southern coast of Iceland from Reykjavik to Diamond Beach. Fosshotel Nupar was a wonderful base for our last two days of sightseeing in the area. Set in a lovely isolated setting we were lucky enough to arrive on the only sunny day of our trip and could see stunning views of Vatnajökull glacier in the distance. We had two rooms and the rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and had plenty of choices. We had dinner one night at the restaurant and it was lovely as well. Overall we had a great stay.

Travelling through Iceland can sometimes feel like you are alone in a vast land. It is nice to find a comfortable place to stay on such a journey. The hotel was well located on our trip up the east coast and was very comfortable. The restaurant was also very nice.

I stayed 1 night here. I selected it because of the location. Easy reach out different waterfalls and other spots. The view was nice but things can have more quality. The toilet flush wash not working. Staff very friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was also good.

Never again. Did not feel welcome or appreciated as guest. You can hear everything, there's a lack of privacy. Other guests walk by your window, and even flew a drone. Breakfast was good but the staff was just as cold as the glacierlake.||Bathroom needs to be renovated.

Only hotel in the area. Nice lobby and restaurant area...OK rooms. The restaurant is nice and modern...though the menu is very touristy. The rooms reminded me of a cruise ship...long halls, small rooms, and compact bathrooms. The shower is tiny and beds are twins that can push together if desired. Cool thing is walk out patios on each room (though no chairs or anything). Service was OK. Left too early to try the breakfast.
