Best scrambled eggs I've ever had - their breakfast chef and I are soulmates! Perfectly-cooked bacon. I loved their breakfast. On the other hand, we did not feel that the dinner buffet was worth the considerable price. I recommend the front "a la carte" restaurant. The squid ink seafood pasta there was really good. The fish and chips were decent, but had more-than-ideal breading.||We came hoping to see an aurora, and our hopes were fulfilled! That's not a small thing; nowhere else on our trip did we see one. It was really cool having a door from our room that led directly outside, and we made good use of it. A bright, always-on light behind the hotel did bring down the experience just a little.||I was quite shocked and disappointed to see a tip jar out in the restaurants, having never seen one on a previous vacation in Iceland. I'd always had such respect for Iceland's no-tipping culture. So much for that! As they say, the only thing that is permanent, is change.

Location is excellent!!! We were able to see the northern lights at their highest and the experience was breathtaking. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere and it makes it easier to see the lights, also they have an alert service that you can ask on front desk. ||The restaurant was great!! Food and drinks were excellent. The hotel offer breakfast for an extra charge and also worth it!!! ||We had an issue with the towels and cleanliness with our room because they were so many hairs on the bathroom and the towels had some burnt marks and makeup marks on them. The front desk staff tried to address it and fix the issue. They were very nice but it unfortunately made us feel uncomfortable with our stayed.||Overall I will try to give this place a second chance because of the service, location and restaurant. Hopefully they are more careful with their housekeeping area

Perfect location, where you can see the aurora all around the mountains. The room temperature is perfect and you can adjust it besides the window . They have a perfect balcony, which you can go straight outside and put your tripod on the grass and take pictures freely. There is no light influence at night so I can directly see the dark sky

Fosshotel Nupar is a stunning premium property that perfectly blends modern design with the rugged Icelandic landscape. Every dish at the restaurant was thoughtfully prepared and flavorful, but the desserts were the true standout—absolutely delicious! Between the high-quality construction of the hotel and the peaceful atmosphere, it’s a fantastic choice for anyone exploring the south coast. A highly recommended, comfortable retreat for travelers seeking quality and style.

The rooms are very small and unconfortable, and the shower is like something out of the Third World. The hotel is New and very clean and with a very nice sensation in general. But rooms are like a ship's cabin and shower has not tray and without cristal protection, so when you finish shower the complete bathroom is full of water

The surrounding is wonderful for obvious reasons, but don't get tricked by the external photos or the reception area. The rooms are old and dirty, soundproof is terrible as you can hear people walking/talking in the corridor (but also outside your window in the middle of the night), breakfast limited with broken coffee machine. For that price(400euro per night )you would expect an excellent service but instead you get hostel-like conditions. Staff is friendly though. Absolutely avoid this hotel.

The location was amazing! We saw so many Auroras and the sunrise was amazing. The view from the hotel is just breathtaking! The room was small, but very nice with a large bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to coming back!

Spending time here was an incredible experience from start to finish. Every single member of the staff was warm, welcoming, and truly professional — we felt taken care of in every moment. The food was beyond exceptional. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared to give us a real taste of Icelandic cuisine, and it exceeded all expectations. I had the best risotto and lamb of my entire life here — absolutely unforgettable flavors! And as if that wasn’t enough, every night we watched the Northern Lights from our window. It felt magical, like a once-in-a-lifetime moment happening again and again. Thank you for creating such a special atmosphere. We will remember this place forever and can’t wait to return!
