Beautiful lobby and dining area, very posh!!! comfortable with good food. Breakfast was plentiful with many options! Eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes, more American food than anything which was both wholesome and sad that very little traditional icelandic selections were available. |The view is lovely, even from the room it looks over a large field. There's a door from the room that leads out to the field, but the door doesn't seem to lock so I'm edgy that anyone can just walk in. |Lovely location, makes for a scenic drive full of glaciers, beaches, and waterfalls. |The room has a small fridge, shower doors, and a safe. |3 twin beds - we moved one and found lots of dirt that I used a rag to clean up. Went to use the kettle, already water in it from before we arrived... And I picked up one mug and it was clearly dirty. A bath towel had brown spots on it... The hotel looks amazing from the outside, but when little details like cleanliness is missed it gives a clearer picture of the overall quality. |Still, otherwise beautiful and comfortable

Stopped here for two nights while touring the south coast The accommodations and breakfast were both excellent, considering the remote location. That location resulted in perfectly dark skies for star gazing and catching the northern lights.|The rooms were a little small, but were still clean and comfortable, and the patio provided another space to relax.

Absolutely loved our stay here! We came here for our honeymoon and they surprised us with a sweet welcome dessert and upgraded room! Had a lovely dinner and even saw the northern lights twice from our room! Would definitely stay again!

It was an average hotel. The rooms were nothing special. The main advantage is that this hotel, unlike Fosshotel Barons in Reykjavik, is that the hot water didn’t smell like butt. Humanity has visited the moon, but somehow Iceland hasn’t figured out how to make the hot water not stink. But this place did. Good on them. I’d be happy to come back here.

We stayed here for two nights. The check in was quick and easy. Great location for darkness to increase the chances of seeing the northern lights. We did see them the first night. The hotel staff will call and wake you up if requested so you don't miss them. ||The breakfast was fantastic. ||Service was friendly. ||Rooms are basic but everything you need. Would definitely stay again.

Great location. Nice restaurant. Limited menu but suited us for 2 nights. Really good hot and cold self service breakfast. Staff were friendly enough. Nothing stands out.||Felt the rooms were dated and the bathroom cleanliness wasn't great. Mould around shower / brown stains on floor / cheap toilet seats / thin towels. More dated travel lodge kind of feel.

My wife and I stayed here one night and I will say we were very glad it was just one night. I’ll start with the good: the exterior of the hotel was very stylish. It’s also a good location for anyone doing glacier hikes (how we ended up choosing this hotel). Each room has a little deck that allows you to walk right outside which was great. We were able to see the northern lights and so many stars, as well as a beautiful sunrise the next morning. Rooms were spacious. For the not so good: the hotel rooms felt like a glorified trailer. I honestly have no idea how this hotel was a 3 star. The bathrooms looked like they were straight out of the 80s or 90s and I’m not sure they were cleaned. Our sink had particles of something that washed right out when the water turned out. It was also so weird that it had to drain plug. The shower design is pretty rough - water seems out from under the shower door and soaks 2/3 of the bathroom. The button to flush the toilet was also finicky. The room itself was fine, but very outdated. Note there is not a smart TV, but that’s not a big deal for a quick stay. The sheets on the bed were horrible. They were picked, pilling, knotted, and stained all over. I included photos of the stains and pilling. I slept with my socks on because I couldn’t take the way the pilling felt on my feet. I saw multiple dark long hairs (which don’t match up with mine or my wife’s) which led me to think the room wasn’t vacuumed. The middle ground things: you’re kind of in the middle of nowhere so there are no other food options outside of their very pricey restaurant. I will say, they had a little grab and go bar by the front desk with some small sandwiches and skyr that was priced way more reasonably. That’s what we did. Front desk staff was nice. We didn’t use them a whole lot since we were only there for about 12 hours. Overall, I was not pleased with this stay as I do not think it’s a 3 star hotel at all. BUT it is a good place to catch the auroras!

Did not met our expectations as it was way overpriced for what you get. Bathroom looked like it was from 30+ years ago with cheap Formica floor and walls. Patio door could only be opened and closed with exceptional force. Rooms are small and bed was not especially comfortable. Location is nice though and the views are beautiful. Food was ok.
