I stayed at the Fosshotel Reykjavík while on my trip to Iceland for 4 nights. Our experience? Excellent. From the staff to the rooms to the buffet breakfast, everything was top notch. The best part? Bus stop #12 is just 50 meters walk which is one of the main stops for tours which makes it very easy. I would highly recommend staying at the hotel.

The rooms are big. Breakfast is also really nice and we'll served. Location of the hotel is very good its just 5 mins walk from shore and 12 mins walk from rainbow street. All the shops and market is really close.

The atmosphere of this hotel had an easy going and friendly vibe. The room we stayed in was equipped for ambulatory and non-ambulatory guests. The bathroom floor was heated. The bed had cozy blankets and pillows. The room was clean. We couldn't hear our neighbors next door, so it was peaceful. It was walking distance to many food places, shopping, and historical sites. The breakfast was abundant with many different choices including choices for the very health-conscious people. Service for the rooms were respected, if needed, they will provide it asap.

Nice hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Beer garden restaurant & bar had great beer selection. The food selection was limited but what we had was decent.

Got put up here by Iceland Air after a flight cancellation. Staff did an amazing job getting a bus load of tired travelers registered in short time. My room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom even had a tub. The breakfast was delicious. It is within moderate walking distance to many tourist attractions.

A great place to base out of. They serve a fantastic breakfast and have two bars on the premises to choose from. We usually ended our day at the Beer Garden downstairs as it seemed more casual to us.

Although not in the centre of the city where the major tourist attractions, shops and restaurants are located, the hotel is a flat (and very scenic) 15 minute walk along the waterfront footpath to the city centre. It is only about 10 metres from the front door to bus stop 12 which is a pickup/drop-off point for the airport shuttle and Reykjavík Excursions. The higher floors have lovely views over the harbour and the rooms are very modern, clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet is excellent and all the staff that I met were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, highly recommended if you don’t need to be right in the city centre.

This is a great hotel, super-convenient for exploring Reykjavik - everything we wanted to see in the city centre was easy to navigate to, plus a bus stop is located right outside the hotel, so pick-up for tours going further afield was very convenient. The breakfast buffet was really varied and the two on-site restaurants were excellent. I want to commend the front-desk reception staff in particular, as they were so welcoming when we first arrived and helpful throughout our stay. The room was a good size with all amenities needed. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
