Fosshotel Vatnajökull

We upgraded to a room with a fabulous view to enjoy our 28th Wedding anniversary. It did not disappoint! We had a corner room with a fabulous view of the glaciers. We had planned on going back to Hof to have our dinner, but after looking at the menu, we decided to eat at the restaurant at the hotel. We enjoyed a lamb meal and a vegan meal (even though we are not vegan) and both were delicious! The staff was friendly and helpful. Would highly recomend

A very pleasant hotel on our tour around the ring road. Very spacious rooms that were clean. The beds are very comfortable. I think the curtains could be a little thick as the light seeped through. Very clever to get one to pay for dinner and thus minimise the check out procedure.

Great unassuming hotel outside of Höfn. Dinner: good quality well prepared food. Breakfast generally good except for the rotten apples and at times buffet food was not restocked. Room was very spacious with great view of the glacier, comfy beds, whatever happens to the shampoo and conditioner, there was none!

The Fosshotels are a newer chain in Iceland! Maybe 16 or 17?? I have only been to two but quality of them were top class. Would recommend to friends and bonus, food is really good so don’t miss! Breakfast buffets are top notch. You won’t be disappointed!

The hotel is in a lovely setting. Great arrival with very attentive staff. ||The hotel is spotless and has a lovely feel. ||The two Romanian staff who did the bar, the dinner and the clearing up were incredible. ||The rooms are surprisingly small and like a lot of Iceland it is expensive. But you are in the middle of nowhere.||The breakfast was great.

An absolutely delightful little hotel after a full day! Staff greeted us and upgraded our room for a mountaininview. Relaxed and enjoyed a delicious dinner in the hotel restaurant. I ordered the Arctic Char, hubby had the chicken. Both were 10/10. So good!! Breakfast Buffet was fantastic!

Spacious, Clean, and Comfortable Stay The room was impressively spacious, spotlessly clean, and felt brand new. Everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully arranged, making for a very comfortable stay. Would definitely return!

This is an average hotel. The rooms are small and not very comfortable. During the summer, when we were there, you cannot keep the windows open due to a lack of screens and biting insects. ||||The staff is fantastic--friendly and enthusiastic.
