Excellent hotel. After travelling a couple of days in the wildness in iceland, coming to Foss hotel feels like back home (and back to the civilisation🥰). Staff is super friendly. Triple room is very useful for family. The room design is typical Nordic simplicity. Simple yet elegantly. We have the room facing back side, although no sea view we have Mountain View with a little stream. Calm and beautiful. Bed is comfortable and room is super clean. The shampoo and hand wash are local famous skin products with wonderful fragrance. I love everything of this hotel.

We stayed 2 nights in the Junior Suite which had a cute little sitting room and we enjoyed the extra space. The room was good, very comfortable and clean. The only issue was water escaping all over the bathroom after a shower. The staff were friendly and helpful, parking was easy. The breakfast buffet was not huge, but had some good healthy choices and lovely fresh bread each morning. It is a friendly, comfy place to stay.

Perfect! From the first moment i entered the room i felt like crying for my happiness. It is true i had been camping the last week before that but, the rooms are warm, there is a kettle and some coffee and tea, maybe the shower would be great to have like a door of glass and not a curtain. The breakfast was out of this world as you can imagine by the pictures. Overall the room could not have been better and the service was on point. All the tourist attractions are nearby and the town feels lovely with the views upon the sea. I would without a doubt repeat a stay here for sure.

Best thing about this hotel are the views. Large bedroom windows give a panorama of the fjord. But views of mountain aren't bad really if at the back of the hotel. Otherwise a step down from the Fosshotel we stayed in at Hellnar. Food wasn't as good, service a bit poorer. One breakfast we didn't see any staff despite several of basic breakfast items running out. Rooms are bigger but not as well laid out and the shower is so small you get wrapped in the shower curtain! ||But these are small things really. Location wins and would recommend. Saw the most stunning sunset!

Very nice hotel in a lovely location with great views. The evening meal was good as was the breakfast too. Staff very friendly and helpful. Not much in the local town but there is a little restaurant worth a visit. The rooms are well-equipped and clean, though a little soulless. As we found in quite a number of hotels, unless you are travelling on a coach tour it is harder to get the best view rooms as they are all booked up; independent travellers need to book such rooms well in advance (although we did book in January and stayed late-July, but even then had a rear view - which was okay - because they "were all booked up". So, all in all nice-enough.

Great hotel. Rooms were nice and a great welcome by the reception staff. I forgot the name of the bartender. He just started here two weeks ago and came from Poland. Definitely a keeper. I would hire him if I had a restaurant. He gave a great guest experience and knew what hospitality means

As expected from a chain-hotel; clean, all services work etc.; but no atmosphere. Also the breakfast was OK, clearly did not use quality ingredients. The dinner was way overpriced for a small portion of mediocre quality. Go for dinner to another place in town (there is a good one).

Tiny rooms - o.k at least with a great view BUT dirty in all areas - not only the bathroom full of hairs but also the whole room and dustballs. Dinner really desastrous - bad service, not one good dish and expensive (for example: The green salad - some leaves of green salad and ruccola, 8 slices of cucumber and 3 halfenend mini-tomatoes at a price of 20 €!!!!).
