Family of 4 visiting from UK. We had the best day. Everyone was very friendly and informative - we loved the performance (we saw the Swedish language version but could follow - English language performance is later in day.) The children love bracelets, forged their own necklace charm with the blacksmith, threw axes and generally had a great time. You can eat on site or get 10% off at the burger bar next door. Recommend! Small wait for the blacksmith but welll worth it!

We wanted some "northmen" settlement experience and we definetely got it. The whole thing is nice, with all the volunteers with historical clothes and accessories there it feels even better. It's nice to see how the things were done. We also had chance to private commentary from the guy who is with this project from the start and also meet fellow Czech guy volunteering here who walked here from Prague. Very lucky coincidences which made the stay even better. Definitely recommending this and I would definitely stop by again if I would be in area again!

Interesting experience but more directed toward children and family. Quite short, you can see everything under two hours. I dont know if I would recommend it for adults, especially considering the price. But if you go there to learn things, the guide tour is insightful (more or less 45 min ). The surroundings are nice.

I had such a great time at Foteviken Viking Museum! It’s not just a museum, it feels like stepping into a real Viking village. The atmosphere is super authentic, and the staff are dressed in traditional clothes, which makes the experience feel alive and fun for everyone, young or old. The historical storytelling is amazing, so clear, engaging, and full of cool facts! You don’t just look at things; you learn and feel part of the Viking world. 🛡️⚔️ It’s a fantastic place for families, history lovers, or anyone curious about the past. Highly recommended if you're in southern Sweden!

We, a family of four with two boys, made a spontaneous visit here and were thrilled. Really cool shows, and everything was designed to be very interactive for the kids. Both boys were really excited, worth it for any family nearby.

Cool place to spend a day with kids. Lots of places to explore and learn how the vikings lived. The play could've used a tighter script and better/funnier dialogues (at least for the english version) but the actors were committed to their characters and did a decent job. The activity space for archery/log and axe throwing was the best. Toilets were plenty and clean. The restaurant and gift shop offerings were average.

Impressive experience: we visited the entire viking village and got the opportunity to try some activities. We had a lot of fun!

Majority of 'actors' are volonters so they have time on vikends to be there. So should you. All of them are very friendly, ask them whatever. Do not expect TV show but reality. Very authentic place and informative guidet tour in English. Played act was mainly in Swedish, could not understand a bit. Worth a visit but it is not a museum with archelogical artefacts to see. All is reconstructed as authentic as possible.
