The first photo gallery in Norway and what a dream to be here and met the curator, manager and also featured artists.
I came with a friend from France who told me about this gallery and fortunately there was an event happening.
One of the sunny days in Oslo, many people are out. This summer has been unusually rainy and cloudy thou I do like the cooler temperatures.
At any rate, I arrived on time and many people were already sitting around the artist.
Each artist about 10 of them spoke about the process, content and inspiration around photography or the art I'd book making. It was great to hear everyone's approach and perspective.
I was also grateful that 8 of the 10 presenters spoke in English and not Norsk. Thank you!
I met the curator of the place, very kind and professional man.
Gallery appears small thou there are rooms adjacent to the main room and had unique and thought provoking current art work. There was also an art installation by a famous performance artist curated.
During the event, they provided drinks for the guest and lunch break with food. It was a lovely touch as the Norwegians are thoughtful that way.
I highly suggest coming here if you like galleries and they also have a bookstore with a large selection of beautiful photo books.
