One of my favorite places in town! Staff is so friendly and helpful, vibe is incredible, and they have different art shows almost every month. Great place to hang out, take a class, and meet others in the arts community.

A new very unique art gallery! There are always new artists coming and going! Many artists start small here. The studio is definitely worth checking out if you are looking for someplace new and fun. The building and the ones surrounding used to be part of an old sawmill/lumberyard.

Very cool place to visit. Lots of artists of various types. The art on the buildings is awesome too!

A great space filled with unique art of every medium. While packed with art and different studios they have plenty of space to sit with a group of friends at their beer/wine bar. Combined with the beautiful and scenic location in the river arts district, this is must have stop for any locals or visitors alike!

We, two sisters on an Asheville adventure, took a mosaic jewelry class at Elemental Art Studios, which is an individual gallery within Foundation Studios. Linda was a very good instructor. The class was small which allowed for one-on-one instruction when needed. Linda gave us the confidence to make our own tiny piece of art. We recommend this class to anyone, whether you are a novice or an experienced artist.

I'm probably prejudiced...my woodturning is in the delightful art gallery! Over 80 artists in so many different styles! Great space to wonder through without becoming overwhelmed. Come visit!

Foundation Studios was incredible. There were tons of artists with unique styles represented throughout the gallery. You have the opportunity to explore some of the their studios and really get a sense for what their process is. Philanthropic partnerships as well, couldn’t recommend enough!

Yelp
What a fun place and they offer live music too. Check their website for schedules of classes too. So many fun and beautiful items in the studio. I look forward to visiting again when in Asheville

Yelp
How have I been to this area so many times not knowing that this was here? Tucktaway between some over priced vintage stores, and the Marquis in the wedge, foundation studios is a delightful little art gallery was friendly staff. The art is organized nicely and you can tell it's a studio space as well. Love that it has a little bit of a community feel to it. You can see spaces where artist have been working and then also see they're finished products for sale. Talk about full circle. I like that the stuff here was pretty varied in price. There were some prints for around $10, some jewelry, and some pricier artwork in the hundreds. I snagged a nice little sterling silver ring for $20. They have two bathrooms, which is a winnin and the staff is super friendly. Will definitely drop back by again if in the area.

Yelp
Asheville is full of really cool art galleries and this is one of the best. Foundation studios is a fairly new art gallery/studio and is located in the newly blossoming foundation area near 12 Bones and the Wedge Foundation. They call themselves a 'community art center' and it definitely has a community vibe. The one time I visited was a weekday midday and so I was the only patron but it still felt welcoming and inviting and I felt totally comfortable wandering in and out of the art studios. The space is a large warehouse-type space with common areas as large hallways and a gathering center (with coffee) and then the space is broke up with a bunch of different studios. The studios are open and guests are welcome to wander in, watch the artist at work (if they're there) and look at the artwork. Most all of the work in the studio is for sale. They also have monthly gallery exhibits and other events. The art here is really gorgeous. I highly recommend getting in here soon.

Yelp
We spent the entire day in the River Arts district and this was one of the many galleries we popped into. The offerings were mostly modern and colorful. Like any gallery space, some artists are working and you can talk to them (at a safe distance during COVID) and ask them questions. We didn't purchase anything here but still found it interesting.

Yelp
I had a great time at Foundation Studios. There are many diverse artists in the building and the people are friendly and helpful. Many galleries in Asheville are less modern. The contemporary work is truly inspiring. A great way to spend the afternoon.
